I'm not convinced the movie will be good, but I've learned critics are more noise than substance. They're paid to meet expectations.
The Last Jedi was the nail in the coffin for me when it comes to taking paid reviews seriously. I understand that not everyone has the same opinion on that movie, but it's like reviewers COMPLETELY ignored the flaws collectively.
Yuck. I hate the whole situation with Epic right now. Competition is a good thing when the consumer benefits. But buying up exclusives and studios with zero benefit to the consumer seems like a red flag to me.
It seems like when Sony/MS/Nintendo buy up studios it's to save them/fund games/invest in a studio that has worked well with them. Epic is just buying up stuff that is already funded with their Fortnite money. Epic is the sequel to EA (RIP Bioware), and sequels are almost always worse...
I've always been baffled by the need for white/male/straight rights groups... and I'm white/male/straight. Sure, my life isn't always perfect, and sometimes people treat me poorly for being who I am, but I've never been harassed on the street for holding my partner's hand, constantly had religious and government groups try to outlaw and vilify my life, or had to worry about getting pulled over because of profiling.
And being THAT upset when some overzealous SJW calls you out that you think you're oppressed just means you're a wuss and the not the tough man you claim to be.
Not a big surprise. I might play it on PC...but this is EA we're talking about. There are very few companies who managed to ruin at least three of my favorite game series. I wish there weren't so many brainless hype-junkies who bought everything EA barfs out (Fifa, Madden, every heartless online shooter) so that all the great series in their clutches could go to better devs.
This series is one of my guilty pleasures. Painfully mediocre gameplay, but funny and lovable characters (<3 Compa). I don't think I'd pay $50+ for one of the games, but this will likely get in my collection eventually when it goes on sale.
Eh, I don't think they're anything to get. Some people like it, some don't. I just recently beat Dark Souls and thought it was just OK. I understand other people like it, but felt like too much work after a day of real work.
Huh, people are worried about a lot of lewd comments but there aren't any so far...does that mean I need to say one to not make liars?....hmmm...dat third picture? How was that?
So many edgy 14-year olds. I don't care if this guy is a casual racist/homophobe. But he's built himself up as an icon to youth (and has a ton of young followers) being a hateful bigot online with that kind of following is like being one of those wierdos who expose themselves to kids on the playground.

Shweet. Crypt of the Necrodancer is one of the few indie games that lives up to its hype imo. Mixing that with my favorite AAA series and I think we have another indie title to be hyped for.
Eh. I get why people make these co-op mods, but the games they're made from were built to be single player. A co-op experience for this game would really boil down to easy mode in battle and one (or more) people would just sitting while one person solves the puzzles (no co-op puzzles in a single player game...). Also, I hate the communities around these projects. They whine and cry about how justified they are about stealing assets because the games are "better than anything Nintendo has done in years!!!!!1" (lol, keep telling yourself that). And stealing assets wouldn't be a big deal if it really were just for fun...but EVERY one of these projects is plastered with Patreon, Paypal Donations, monetized Youtube channels etc. If you're such good programmers make your own darn game WITHOUT stolen assets.
Me: Fair enough, the new games saved the series and most modern gamers would recognize them. I'll definitely buy when they add characters from the Radiant/GBA (besides over waifu-ized Lyn) games as DLC.
Devs: and for DLC!!!!!!...more Shadow Dragon characters!!!!1
I usually pick a favorite based on all of their evolutions. Grookey becomes a Green DK? That'd bump him up a bit. Scorbunny turns in a jacked Trix rabbit? That's a huge plus. Sobble becomes Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid (complete with voice actor)? Then I'd definitely have a favorite. Sobble could even live on through his arm when the devs run out of ideas.
It doesn't suck. It's just absurdly overrated. To be fair, it's a really good game, but still at EVO mainstage, while being stupidly broken and older than most of the viewers? Time to put the horse down on this one.

Some characters definitely have an edge over the rest, but overall the balance isn't too bad. My main issue with the game right now is corner camping in FFA. I hate seeing a Samus/Dark Samus/K Rool/Dedede/Young Link/Robin (oh god Robin) sitting in the corner and quickly running to the other corner if you get close in order to save lives so they get enough ahead it's near impossible to win once it gets down to 1v1. At first I thought they were just trolls or jokers who would SD eventually, but 95% of them go FULL tryhard as soon as they have enough of a lead. True. And I like Castlevania but Nintendo gamers definitely got the better end of the deal with Bayonetta (especially considering Bayo 3 coming out on Switch with no new or relevant Castlevania in sight).
I hope they revive Baten Kaitos. A Baten Kaitos game in a Xenoblade style world would be amazing and actually the game I'd love to see the most out of Monolith at the moment.
Xenoblade Chronicles X2 would be a close second. The first game had a big cliff hanger that leaves a lot of room for story expansion and I think XCX had the most potential out of the all the Xeno games is just got bogged down by too many fetch quests.
Both these games had unfortunate glaring flaws that kept them from true greatness (anime tropes and pacing)...that being said they are also some of the most beautiful games ever created (every screen is a work of art, the music is amazing, and they had a super creative plot twist in BOTH games). There are a lot of "Nintendo doesn't understand memes!!!!!1" comments here. The real problem? Neither does a lot of the internet. Waluigi is hilarious as meme material but complete trash-tier as an actual character and some people are LEGITIMATELY upset about him not being in because they don't understand the meme side of the Waluigi fanbase and have taken it to actual rabbid fandom. It's like watching flat earth trolls who have convinced other flat earthers to believe even harder the earth is flat.

"Tiers don't matter!!!!1" ... ... Both Smash tourneys won by s-tier characters in a horribly predictable fashion...yep, tiers don't matter...in casuals...until your opponent gets butthurt and changes to an u-air Cloud 90% of the time. I hope ultimate is balance better than past games.
I don't care how competitive the game is or isn't, just please don't leave characters broken and s-tier. Even if you play "For Fun" there is always some try-hard who's gonna come out up-airing, rolling, and limit charging every time. Game doesn't even have to be THAT balanced, but characters like Fox in Melee, Meta Knight/Snake in Brawl, and Cloud/Bayo in Smash4 just ruin the fun. I don't care how many people whine and cry their s-tier got nerfed. I just don't want more of the same "you beat me with Smash ball when I'm using my secondary? Out comes Try-Hard Cloud to teach you a lesson! You're playing for fun? Too bad, my internet "girlfriend" just broke up with me!!!!!1"
I'm surprised they are so many haters. Sure, they could have done more (...like talking about games 3+ years out...that's a pro...right?). Maybe I was just the perfect target audience for this. Xenoblade DLC looks good, Smash looks good, Mech game looks good, Mario Party looks good (great family game), Fire Emblem looks really good, Pokemon looks decent, Splatoon DLC looks good. It would have been cool to get a surprise like Mertroid, Bayo 3, or some other series...but considering I was only interested in 2-3 games in the other shows (Cyberpunk 2077 looks shweet, RE 2 Remake and Battletoads cautiously optimistic, Elder Scrolls come back when you actually have something...) I think Nintendo's E3 was pretty good.
Ha, guy has a "donate" button on all his videos. Keep up the Robin Hood facade modders/hackers. I'm fine with this stuff if it's 100% non profit content but when you're making a profit stealing other people's hard work/assets I have a hard time thinking you're the good guys. Makes we want to gather up a bunch of mods/hacks compile them on a website with slight improvements with a "non-related patreon or donate buttons" (and smeared with youtube ads) and watch the same Robin Hood Hackers lose their minds for "stealing" their stuff.
Actually sounds pretty cool if true. I'm glad they're making a lot of positive changes to Xeno 2 through DLC. Shame they won't patch up the plot holes in the story, but that's forgivable if they keep making the game more fun/accessible.
"The project's videos and the creator's PATREON account were soon taken down by Nintendo,"
God I'm starting to hate Patreon. It's the perfect vehicle for internet thieves to make money on their stolen goods while claiming they "aren't selling anything." Using someone else's assets? Then you shouldn't be making squat.
I'm predicting a Ninjara win for this. During the Min Min/Helix party I saw more Ninjaras/Springtrons than I did the themed characters . The tempting easy wins (in casual modes) these characters offer is too hard for many to pass up...
If true, "not coming to PS4" for Capcom is like saying "we have niche game that we're testing on other systems and if it does on those systems we'll re-release it on PS4 with more content, half the price, and all future entries will be exclusive to Sony"
That's a bit of a surprise 0_0. I guess God of War is built to pander perfectly to Western "alpha males" (edgy dude bros) so it's one of those games that'll never translate well to Japan's Gatchawaifu audiences.
Noticed that too. I don't mind when art is more recognized in film (3 Billboards definitely deserves more awards than Last Jedi, Thor, etc) but I always prefer gameplay substance/fun over art any day in gaming. I mean, good stories are welcome, but if a game is tedious, borning, or unispired in the actual GAME part of the game, I tend to put it lower on my list even if I still like it. Hellblade and Edith Finch definitely would make better movies/series than games IMO.

Re: Zarina And Sylvie Arrive In SNK Heroines On Switch To Shake Things Up
@JayJ
I know, I've already pre-ordered it too.
Re: ARMS Comes Full Circle With A Spring Man vs. Ninjara Party Crash This Week
I'm predicting a Ninjara win for this. During the Min Min/Helix party I saw more Ninjaras/Springtrons than I did the themed characters . The tempting easy wins (in casual modes) these characters offer is too hard for many to pass up...
Re: Rumour: Capcom Has Listed An Unnamed 'Action/Adventure' Game For E3 2018
If true, "not coming to PS4" for Capcom is like saying "we have niche game that we're testing on other systems and if it does on those systems we'll re-release it on PS4 with more content, half the price, and all future entries will be exclusive to Sony"
Re: PlatinumGames Wants The Wonderful 101 On Switch
@CaPPa
Same, but I'm assuming Kamiya wants 101 on Switch so it can hopefully get more attention with a larger install base to warrant a sequel.
Re: Japan Is More Excited About Nintendo Labo Than God Of War
That's a bit of a surprise 0_0. I guess God of War is built to pander perfectly to Western "alpha males" (edgy dude bros) so it's one of those games that'll never translate well to Japan's Gatchawaifu audiences.
Re: Zelda: Breath of the Wild And Super Mario Odyssey Win Big At BAFTA Games Awards
@dew12333
