Atlus has shared a brand new trailer for the upcoming Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, which is set to launch on Nintendo Switch in Japan in February.
As you can see for yourself, the video focuses on the protagonist, Joker, a character who Nintendo fans now know inside and out thanks to his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Persona 5 Scramble was first revealed for Switch back in April this year and is an action-RPG spin-off from the main series created in partnership with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force.
This Joker-specific video arrives shortly after a lengthy presentation on the game, which was shared on YouTube by Atlus yesterday. If you're interested, you can catch decent chunks of gameplay through the presentation, although you likely won't be able to understand what's happening fully without a good grasp on the Japanese language.
Are you liking the look of the game? Happy to get some Persona action on Switch? Let us know if you'll be keeping an eye out for its release with a comment below.

First post...this isn't the Persona you're looking for.
This actually looks alot better than I was expecting. Figured I was well covered on the musou front with FE:W, but this looks P5'eque enough and different enough from other musou titles to get me interested.
Good that Switch owners at least get a taste of Persona goodness even if it’s a spin-off. This is why I have PS though, I’m all covered on Persona with FES on my PS3, Golden on my Vita and 5 (soon to be Royal) on my PS4. Of course, if you were so inclined, I’m sure you could get them on PC 🏴☠️🏴☠️
@jump nah, it is. I have a PS4 and love musou games. I'm hyped as hell for this.
Stylistically,it looks great.Had a lot of fun with the Zelda/Musou spin off.If it keeps a steady framerate,I'm in!
Got Fire Emboem warriors when it hit $22 on Amazon. Didn't finish it. But this is Persona, so probably give it a try. But it will be a rental This time.
@nessisonett yep... Same here with having a PS. Also, the story is right after P5, so best to have played it.
I guess this is a question for after after review, should you play P5R before you play this?
Wow! This is looking wayy better than I thought it would! Can't wait!
@eltomo Yes, this is a direct sequel to Persona 5. Takes place the summer after the events of 5, though in the case of Royal I'm not sure if that extra content is going to have any impact on this game.

"First post...this isn't the Persona you're looking for."
On the contrary... when I first heard about Persona 5, I was disappointed that it wasn't an action game with RPG elements, so this is a dream come true :3
please let them announce the global release soon
Hard Pass for this one . Whoever will have fun, go for it.
Continues to look ridiculously good. More of a Persona JRPG with musou combat than another reskinning of Dynasty Warriors.
When the new trailer comes out, can you introduce me as Joker?
I really enjoyed Hyrule and FE Warriors, so I'm pretty interested in this too. I wish there was maps and characters from the other Persona games, but I suppose that could be DLC.
So is a sequel? I guess that Lavenza suggests that it is but who knows..
As long as they don't try what they did with P5D's "story" and make it all a dream
Interested, but only if it gets brought west, hopefully that happens. I still wish we could see some Persona 5 Royal or P4 action on switch in addition to this game.
doesn't look fun at all i hate Dynasty Warriors type of games they are all terrible
Showing Lavenza like that is quite the spoiler for the unaware. In my opinion, that is
@jump This is absolutely the Persona I'm looking for!
@jump agree this game is trash
I really enjoy the musou games but this is a pass until the switch port of 5 comes out and I can get acquainted with the story without being spoiled.
Nowhere is it explicitly stated that Persona is Sony exclusive. SMT has also been predominantly on Sony for quite a while after the 2 super famicom games (3 nocturne, Digital Devil Saga) and that's certainly not true anymore as Nintendo has recently had several SMT titles (4, 4A, Soul Hackers, Devil Survivor etc). It's a third party company it can port whatever it wants anytime it so desires "unless" it's printed as a exclusive!
This game could be an awesome musou/warriors style game, but that isn't what I wanted from the Persona series on Switch, so I am not interested.
I'm ended up with those sibling Musou games. The last one I enjoyed was Hyrule Warriors on Wii U in asymmetric co-op (one player on TV and another on GamePad screen). I dropped Fire Emblem Warriors after a couple of hours, not satisfying anymore. If you played any Warriors game - you played them all, reskin doesn't change much. I'll wait for SMTV and keep fingers crossed for the true P5 port.
It's hilarious that this is justification enough to get Joker into Smash. A main-series Persona hasn't even touched a Nintendo system and he gets in. As much as I hate to admit it, Waluigi deserves the spot more than Joker.
@GameOtaku - Except all of the mainline Persona games have been (with the technical exception of Persona 1 being ported to Windows in 99') kept to Playstation platforms, so at the very least, there seems a keen interest from Atlus in keeping Persona off other platforms, even Windows.
@oji - To be fair, Fire Emblem Warriors isn't that unique for a Musou game, especially compared to Hyrule Warriors, so it's no surprise the game hasn't been satisfying. This game though, from what I've seen so far, seems to be a bit more unique within the Musou sub-genre, so it could end up being one of the better musou games in that regard.
@R_Champ - Is it any worse than Cloud getting into Smash 4? At least here he's the main character in a major spin-off/sequel, unlike Cloud who was, at best, a cameo in a GBA game.
@FullMetalWesker
True but SMT hasn't always been on Nintendo either. This game isn't just a spinoff it's an actual sequel to events from P5 just like I found out the hard way with P4 Arena Ultimax. It's events take place just after P4 ended and it's not 5 minutes in you are spoiled on lots of P4s story.
