Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?

Some of them are very big games, and often the graphics are new or have at least been dusted off.
If you haven't played them before, I suppose $60 isn't too crazy.
But obviously some have more effort to them than others.

Generally, I have to reminds myself to appreciate how Nintendo (mostly) doesn't nickle and dime me once I've paid the up-front asking price.

Re: Surprise! Switch Online's Battle Royale Tetris 99 Just Got A New Update

Nice with updates, as I still play this. Though what really has needed revision ever since it showed up are the unlock criteria for the the player icons pertaining to the Team Play.
No-one (at least I'd wager so) has managed to win ten games while playing for a team with ten or fewer players. Simply because the system assigns so many CPUs to teams that you are only ever less than 10 on the rare occasion that a lot of human players are present, AND your team color was picked by very few. And then you gotta win from that position as well. Ten times.

Rude. Roger Dead is still alive, and the logo is iconic.

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss

I own WAY more games than I'll play. Physically, and especially digitally.
For many, it would make no difference if I just had subscription access, and suddenly didn't have it anymore.

For the ones I'm actually playing though, it makes no sense to me that I'd have to keep paying every month, even when I WASN'T playing.

It's not that I really care about "owning" digital copies. Because I don't. I can't resell them. It's just that I don't want to have to think about not having access to my games if I stopped paying.

And if anyone at Ubi wants to talk about what "needs" to happen, then I'd suggest they start making interesting games again, and stop greenlighting projects they're going to cancel anyway.

@Pat_trick
I know a lot of people are more forgiving of the movie than I am, so maybe it wasn't all for naught, but as you say, I've ended up seeing the whole process as just another example of greed. Where some execs were straight up scared that their investsments wouldn't be returned, and had to react to secure the cash flow, rather than anybody wanting to make the best possible Sonic movie.
