Re: Rumour: Game Developers Supposedly Told Not To Expect Switch "Successor" In Current Financial Year

Nintendo is up to a point where comfortably achieving a 10X in processing is manageable. Considering the current state of Moore's Law, even 20X could be on the table.

And 10 - 20 times the raw processing power -IS- the point they'd want to reach for a new piece of hardware to look attractive. IF, as reports suggests, they aren't going to challenge the media format in any substantial way.

I should be VERY surprised, however, if Nintendo din't opt for some form of curveball added to the equation.

Alright, it landed here as well now!
And... it's kind of a mess.
Original resolution doesn't scale correctly, and there really still isn't any auto-turn option available for the motion controls, despite the game obviously knowing the exact yaw of your controller, as to accomodate turning when you're pointing off screen.

But hey, it's free and and lot of people here seem to be happy, so who am I really to complain. ^_^;

But still no auto-turn for the gyro controls. I bought this bundle long ago, but like all FPS on Switch, this omission means I'm not having fun.

European release seems to lag a bit behind as well? For now the two games have individually been made unavailable for purchase, but the new bundle or any form of update isn't available just yet.

whatwhatWHAAAT!?

These are some of my favorite games, and I'd given up on thinking EA would allow the franchise to be picked back up!

Very cool to hear that Philippe is back to update the already amazing soundtrack, though I wonder where and if the original writer/designer/programmer Frederick Reynal is to be found in this project.

Re: Random: Welp, Now Nintendo's Going After Sheet Music

Music rights, sheets being no exception, are a big deal.
But it -IS- wierd to DMCA people you already have a working licensing agreement with.

It might come down to a disagreement on distribution methods though. It often does for Nintendo.

Re: Random: It's Now Been Seven Years Since Metroid Prime 4 Was Announced

Prime Remastered probably serves as a primer (haha) for both the development team and the audience for Prime 4.

And... I really hope they don't call it Metroid Prime 4.
Call it Metroid Prime, but give it a subtitle instead of a number, and please don't let the phazon story go on. Let the new game be its own thing.

@Poodlestargenerica
Headhunter had apparantly been put on long-term development hiatus long before Build even released. So to me, that there sounds like they're coming up with a more "edible" explanation than the real one.

Or, Headhunter was proving a little too expensive early on, so they paused it and really did hope that finishing Build first would buy them some time and audience excitement.

Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?

Pod

Some of them are very big games, and often the graphics are new or have at least been dusted off.
If you haven't played them before, I suppose $60 isn't too crazy.
But obviously some have more effort to them than others.

Generally, I have to reminds myself to appreciate how Nintendo (mostly) doesn't nickle and dime me once I've paid the up-front asking price.
