Re: Mother 3 Is Coming To Nintendo Switch Online, But There's A Catch

There's a game translation guide over at GameFAQs that one could use to follow the game in Japanese while they play. It's actually the only way I've experienced the game so far. (I have a legit Japanese copy for my GBA!) It translates all of the text you'll encounter and helps you navigate the battle menu (Which you'll know by heart eventually.) The translation is solid and with a little dedication, you can play the game and get the full impact.

Re: Talking Point: Is Super Mario Bros. Wonder Really A Departure From The 'New' Series?

Pak-Man

There SHOULD be some similarities between New and Wonder. If you make a 2D Mario Game, part of your goal is to get back to Mario's roots.

Little details and puzzles I spotted during the trailer though tells me that this is going to be to New Super Mario Bros what Odyssey was to Mario 64. That's probably overly-optimistic, but I have a good feeling about this new direction.

Mostly, I'm just glad there's a title that won't confuse eBay. STOP USING "NEW," NINTENDO! It won't always be true!

Re: Talking Point: What Is A 'Traditional' Zelda Game, Anyway?

Pak-Man

If we look at the original, you had a game that tossed you in the middle of a sprawling kingdom with no real instruction on where to go and what to do. You'd find items along the way and stumble on dungeons, but it was totally possible to wander into a place where you weren't ready and get destroyed.

In that sense, Breath the Wild was more like the original than any other Zelda game since.

Re: Talking Point: With One Month 'Til TOTK, What's Left For You To Do In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

Pak-Man

I toppled Ganon, and if I never do anything else, I'll be OK with that, but I did pay for DLC I've barely touched, and there are a lot of shrines left unfound. I might just see if I can get all those shrines found and solved, and get myself a motorcycle in the next month or so. Or maybe I'll just end up playing some $5 indie title the whole time. You just never know.
