Re: Reaction: What's Your Gut Feeling On The Zelda Movie News?

PMFan354

I'm just going with optimism for now. Zelda finally getting a movie of some kind sounds exciting.

For now, I'll already assume it'll somehow work and they have good ideas planned out. However, I know this could so easily go wrong, so, at the same time, I won't be disappointed if my current optimism turns out to be wrong!

Hopefully they'll make a really good live action film and it'll be faithful to what's great about Zelda games.

And I hope that it won't be bad and that will actually be the case. It just feels too easy to go wrong but at the same time there's a chance they thought it out well and carefully. So I'll give it a good chance for now.

And the Mario movie did work, so that's a second reason I'll be giving this a chance.

Re: Wario's New Voice Actor Confirms Role On Social Media

PMFan354

I've listened to his Wario voice a bit more and it actually does overall sound better than one particular clip I saw but I still don't like it. It just need some tweaking and improvement or something. It's half okay but half of something is missing.

I think he's a good VA and can do it but I hope he improves more on Wario's light and funny side, to Wario's character, through the VA.

Re: Wario's New Voice Actor Seems To Be Confirmed

PMFan354

I enjoyed his Mario & Luigi's voices in Super Mario Bros Wonder. From the few clips of WarioWare: Move It that I've seen, I really hope he gets better voicing Wario because it feels lacking a bit of Wario's fun personality. If he improves it could be okay but I don't like it right now.

It's not bad voice acting, it's just it's not sounding enough of Wario's personality.

Re: Video: Wario Side-By-Side Voice Comparison (New VA & Charles Martinet)

PMFan354

I prefer Charles as well. He sounds a bit too deep and loud without as much of that fun aspect of Wario. I'm not sure how to explain but the top comment said it well. More gruffness but less silliness, that sort of thing. I don't mind deeper gruffing but without the silliness of Wario, it isn't as fun.

Hopefully the VA will improve. I wouldn't say he's a bad VA, but he hasn't captured Wario fully, so I do prefer Charles a lot more.

Really hope he improves with some changes and Wario doesn't stay this way.

Re: Sakurai Is Sceptical That Future Smash Bros. Titles Can Match Ultimate's Scope

PMFan354

There were 3 main options I could think of that have been said already.

1. A Deluxe of Ultimate with some new stages and characters. It's possible they'll have more.
2. Somehow trying something new with Ultimate as the base concept in mind. Yes, really and that would probably be with all/most of those characters, some new characters and new stages too. New modes and a new story mode. Or reshaping the current modes and a new story mode, similar from what Ultimate had but not being a Deluxe of Ultimate. Something fresh anyway but with a lot of Ultimate's rooster.

Or, that'd be my guess if they go down a new route. It may sound hard for the Switch but if Switch 2 improves upon the Switch with it's harware, I see it being doable. I mean there'll be a whole team working on it for a few years until it's ready. It probably is hard but I'd expect it being possible. The question is, what does get cut? Does anything get cut? What will be new? Etc.
3. Rebooting, but it would really need something good and I'm not sure how well that would be received. I'm sure it'd still need to have a huge rooster of characters and stages.
4. Something outside of what I can think of.

I would assume #1 or #2. But with some help they really will come up with ideas and anwsers for the next Smash on Switch 2. Even if they go for a Deluxe of Ultimate.

I don't think there will be one until the Switch 2, I'm assuming it's still 1 per console and Ultimate is still doing really well overall for the Switch.

I'd assume Sakurai will be working on it, or helping on it.

Re: Reminder: Pac-Man 99's Online Service Has Now Officially Ended

PMFan354

It is sad to see it go. Agree with the Mario 35 comments too. I loved playing both of them and I was actually somehow good at them.

I will certainly miss both of these now. That's now 2.

I think though that F-Zero 99 is really good and was a nice idea, I'm not great at it but it is fun so I can understand people enjoying it.

I hope we get another Mario 35 at some point, or it gets back online for some time, but for now let F-Zero 99 be there to be enjoyable.

Re: Pac-Man Returns In... Another Battle Royale Game?

PMFan354

Ah, well it's great they've got a new battle royale to replace Pac-Man 99, at least it's not just a shut down without some sort of replacement. I'll miss it though, I liked playing it time to time!

The new battle royale looks good fun.

Re: Review: Pokémon Sleep - A Snore-Fest In Mostly The Right Ways

PMFan354

@HeadPirate Hi can I apologies to you? Firstly, I don't know why but I got no notification for this reply or I missed it. Something like that, so that actually is the real reason I didn't respond again.

But the apology is just that I think I got a bit heated, maybe or something else.

It's not aimed at you, I don't like the system but it's not fully aimed at you or anything like that.

You're allowed a different opinion from mine.

I was also talking generally, rather than Pokemon Sleep specifically, but yes I know that that may be a bit different, so I might agree with you more depending how that's monetize. On that specifically though, not generally.

$10,000 though is still a lot of money. I like the f2p part and someone who can afford a lot making it f2p is an interesting and nice idea for certain.

But I don't like it all and how it's all handled and Gacha, generally. I think there should be more limits and restrictions and rules on the monetization but you do make some valid points and ideas too.

I don't want to argue or get heated or etc etc but that's my actual view. Roughly.

Anyway do have a nice day and I apologise again about my previous response or responses, depending when I started going on and into detail on all that.

I agree I didn't make many valid points but I think this does help clear it up.

I do take some level of offense, not complete offense but quite a level of it. I think I should lower the scale on that a little but I'm not getting rid of it all either. But thank you!

Take care! Thank you for sharing your view on the matter. Pokemon Sleep might not be as bad, I don't know.

I hope you have a nice day. Okay I'll stop there. Bye. Goodbye

Re: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope Dev Is "Not Worried" About Game's Initial Sales

PMFan354

I think they did a good job with it and had a good vision.

I feel some things aren't the best they can be but they did a good job. 7, 8, 9 and 10 reviews are fair scores. 8 is a good number.

I like Rayman added in as DLC, maybe he is not with Mario, if that's right, but it's nice he's there. I always liked Rayman.

I'll probably go back to the DLC if I have it as a priority (due to time reasons). I hope they continue to make good games.

Re: Video: What Would A 'Master Mode' In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Be Like?

PMFan354

I have no idea, it's already hard as it is for me but I still haven't done much more of the main storyline so I know the rest of the abilities will make it easier.

Oh, but I find games harder than top players and some other players usually. But the depths is at a higher difficulty than I thought Nintendo would do already. (In a positive way I think. For myself anyway).

I'm expecting a Hard Mode to come though.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo IP Should 'Switch 2' Launch With?

PMFan354

I'd love to say 3D Mario, and I expect that for marketing reasons, strongest IP right? and that's what they've usually? done.

But I actually feel Metroid fans really deserve Metriod Prime 4? by now, that just need to come. Not until it's ready but it still just needs to come already.

I like Paper Mario TTYD idea. I don't think they would do that, but I'd love it!

Edit: I wasn't fully thinking with that response! I know GameCube, Wii, Wii U and Switch launched with Zelda titles.

I suppose I was thinking after that 3D Mario would be likely.

As for what I said a bit clearer on Metriod Prime, I just mean Metriod fan deserve the game after a long wait. It's been a long time. I agree with Nintendo policy to only release the game when it's finished, good and ready. So of course, that's why only release it then. Just that the fans deserve it.

And then with PM TTYD discussion. As a huge fan of that game I'd love it and expect a lot of PM fans too, as well, it would also give hope if making Paper Mario games like the older too again. But I don't think it's likely to happen for marketing reasons. I don't think it's strong compared to a new 3D Mario title or Metriod Prime 4.

Re: Poll: Have You Ordered Physical Switch Games That Came With The Cart Missing?

PMFan354

I've heard it happen to people. I've also seen a few reviews on Amazon UK share that too. I really hope people do get it sorted out and get their games.

Thankfully that's not happened to me. I have used Amazon on quite a few games and they did come with the cartridge.

I've used Nintendo Store UK and been okay.

With Ebay I've also been lucky there. I DID get a game posted/sent off weeks later then they should've but that's different. With Ebay, I always check the reputation from customers carefully.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Targeting A 2024 Release For The Switch Successor

PMFan354

Also no OLED can happen and make some sense.

If that's the case, it'll be a cheaper price for people to afford then. Plus they'll then release the OLED model at a later time.

It'd be nice if they released both at the same time to be honest, but doing things this way makes sense from a business perspective.

I mean it's a rumour so who knows for certain what Nintendo will choose to do, unless the rumour is genuine.

But I can see it happening this way. As much as I'd prefer it to just have OLED.

Still, I wouldn't set that in stone as what is for certain is going to happen yet.

At this point, Nintendo could still release an OLED model for Switch 2 (whenever it comes) anyway.

Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch

PMFan354

I'm curious about "smash parts of the scenery".

I know that's normal and happens with blocks already, and we saw some of that in the trailer too. But does it mean more things in the scenery get smashed then normal? Maybe?

The fact that it talks about boss battles looks like it's saying that bosses do it?

I mean it might just be something a bit like how Bowser can breath fire and break blocks, or bosses breaking blocks with their shells. But Bowser Jr's new design makes me think it might be more then that and more interesting.

Not enough info to tell for certain but that'd be cool.

So I'm curious as I think it's possible it could be handled in a fresh way. With the whacky Wonder theme.

But even if not, the game already looks really good and impressive and fresh. So I'm also really looking forward to this new 2D Mario game!

Re: The Next Pokémon Presents Could Be Soon, According To A New Datamine

PMFan354

I know there's no confirmation yet but, now I think about it, August kind of makes sense for a Pokemon presentation for the S&V DLC and maybe more on Detective Pikachu.

I don't mind them announcing something new but I hope it won't be something that is, or will be, rushed out. If it's not rushed out, I don't mind.

If it is rushed out, I don't want anything new announced just yet. As much as it's nice to know about new announcements. Something that's been in development for a while should hopefully be okay though.

Re: Sakurai Can't Imagine Future Super Smash Bros. Games Without His Involvement

PMFan354

Nintendo will always think of a way to create new surprises.

I'd imagine Sakurai will be involved, (and probably heavily), in the next Smash game as well. He seems happy to at the moment so I'd imagine that will happen easily.

As for topping Ultimate. For now I don't know if they will or can. Thet might try too anyway or they might try a new/different approach. (With or without topping it). If a new/different approach is decided, without topping it, then a game or a few later, they can do another Ultimate and even top it.

I don't know what direction they'll choose but yeah they'll be another Smash game.

And it's possible Ultimate will get a Deluxe but I hope they make something new of some kind. Although Deluxe might actually work well for Smash. It depends.

Mostly just me guessing though but they'll be another Smash game.

Re: Video: Pikmin Lore Is Incredibly In-Depth And Often Terrifying

PMFan354

@HeadPirate @KidSparta Yeah very true. I was also thinking about that too. There certainty is a lot of lore related to disasters in these cute games. I like how they give them mystery though.

I definitely think it's inspired from their culture and yes that, I think they're very aware of real disasters.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pikmin 4?

PMFan354

It's really really good! I'm happy to give it 10/10 based on enjoyment.

I think a large part of the game can be a little bit on the easy side of things but it's better then making it too difficult at the same time.

There's a lot of enjoyment. And they did a really good job on the enemies!

I think there can be some improvements but I'm still happy to give it 10/10. They did a lot to make this a great Pikmin game and even though there are some differences, overall I think they achieved it.

Re: Review: Pokémon Sleep - A Snore-Fest In Mostly The Right Ways

PMFan354

@HeadPirate But, to me in that scenario it's actually is that some food is locked behind extreme prices, so for that reason, you can't enjoy everything but yes to the fact there is some completely free food which of course remains a huge positive and I agree on that part and that point.

I still don't think things have to be overpriced and forced in front of your face often. I feel that's really too much and is the wrong way for them all to make money.

I mean a restaurant gives free food and shows other delicious food on the table saying you have to spend £300 to get some of that is extreme. If the prices were farier and more reasonable then I wouldn't feel negative about it, but it's like that really.

And then $10,000 is an extreme amount of money, even if someone has that much to spare it's way over price.

The thing is it doesn't work quite like this.

But I don't know. Free food remains amazing and I can agree with you on that point.

I just think though that prices should be reasonable for everyone really.

I agree they'd need to make money somehow.

I don't mean to be rude or anything though, it's just thinking differently and that's all I mean. If you feel otherwise then okay sure. I don't, but okay.

Re: Review: Pokémon Sleep - A Snore-Fest In Mostly The Right Ways

PMFan354

@HeadPirate I don't agree with most of what you said except I do agree with you on the fact that a game with free content should still be trying to make a profit, and that usually means using microtransactions in some form or way.

But going that far just sounds like greed and an awful marketing strategy, in my opinion. Well to me anyway. It's used as the excuse while trying to maximise as much profit as possible in an extreme negative way for everyone except them.

But I don't really want to argue or debate a lot on this so I'll just say that.

And I'm talking generally. If your talking just on Pokemon Sleep then I don't know actually, but it looks to me like your talking generally about games with ridiculous priced microtransactions, so that's what I mean anyway.

Your right though, that it's not "wrong" for them to try to make a profit, in some way, on a free to play game or other game-like app. So I agree with you on that.

It just sounds awful to me if things are extremely overpriced. Sounds kind of ridiculous to me and just wrong.

When it's like that it's just about them getting as much money as they can without caring for their players, but trying to make it look otherwise.

I think prices should just be fair for everyone, as long as the players are given a positive experience for free and can get something out of paying at reasonable and farier prices they probably will.

I mean nothing with microtransactions games should be ridiculously priced, that's just unfair on everyone then and a nasty way to try and get the most money they can.

@Yosher They have to make money/a profit somehow if they give out something with free content. That's not wrong really because they should make money from it in some way. But I'm of the view the prices should be reasonable and farier for everyone, I.e small prices and not extreme.

I agree that they shouldn't be overpriced or forced in your face all the time. I dislike those practices too.

But if they give you something for free I don't see it wrong at all for them to make some money from it. I mean they have to really.

But it just seems a lot of these mobile games use needing to make money as an excuse to create a monopoly with overpriced microtransactions and I don't like nor think it's right myself.

Re: PSA: For Goodness Sake, Don't Fall For This Nintendo Switch 2 'Leak'

PMFan354

It looks weird to me and too similar. I can believe Switch 2 would be similar but something new would stand out.

It could be just design even but something would stand out.

This looks too weird to me to be true. Other things don't convince me.

But I have guessed, and would not be surprised, if Switch 2 comes sometime in 2024 or else 2025.

I doubt it would leak before sometime next year. As in offical images.

I don't think Q1 2024 either.

Re: PSA: Pikmin 4 Preload Now Live On Nintendo Switch

PMFan354

@FoxyDude Probably, I know you have to be careful in the caves due to things like bombs. But I haven't played it yet. I can't remember the last time I played 2. Glad you enjoyed it though, it sounds like a fun game.

Yes, it's mostly easy it's more like Easy Mode even though it's called Normal. Hard Mode is fairer, things aren't that much harder but it's not as much of a breeze. It's just the day to night timer goes a few minutes faster. Enemies are buffed, I think double health? But they aren't that hard. I liked 3 Deluxe though. It is a fun game. I like the detail to the setting and it's mysteries.

Congrats! Yeah, I'll play them again but I'm waiting for the physical release.

Re: Random: These Pikmin Flower Vases Will Soon Bloom Onto My Nintendo Store (Europe)

PMFan354

They look nice but that price is a pass for me.

I did like the keyrings you could purchase on pre-order for the game though. (From Nintendo Store). Those were a slight bit pricy to me, but nothing like this amount or anything.

I also think those bottles, or even 1 of those, seems more value for money really. They seem expensive too due to shipping but seem really nice and more worth getting, of the two choices.

But of course, people wondering should go with what they want and what they like more for value for them, or choose to save the money.

Re: PSA: Pikmin 4 Preload Now Live On Nintendo Switch

PMFan354

I've pre-ordered already. The demo was a lot of fun so it did convince me to keep it.

I also missed out on Pikmin for so long but it was more because 1 was too hard for me when I was younger. 3 Deluxe has been really fun to play through very recently.

There is some good elements of mystery in this series, even though the stories are usually very simple. But it works well in Pikmin.

Re: Call Of Duty On Switch Still Isn't Guaranteed As FTC Appeals Court Ruling

PMFan354

I've not kept up with everything but from the articles of what the FTC have said, it felt like a completely weak case.

On this case, they just don't have anything solid at all. This makes me doubt this appeal will do much for them.

I'm guessing Microsoft will put CoD on Switch, as I see them making more money from doing it.

It's a matter of technical issues, so I see Switch 2 as in the worst case, but we'll find out all about it if it does gets on the current Switch.

As long as they can, I would believe they'll do it. Even if it was mainly said to help win their case.

Re: Japan's Switch Sales In June Were Reportedly A Record High For The Console

PMFan354

Honestly, at the moment, I think they could still release a new Switch 2 next year or else the year after. (2024 or 2025).

I'm not saying they definitely will, but I see it being possible. I'm personally guessing that will. As a guess though.

I mean it just seems to make sense even though Switch is selling well. As long as it's backwards compatible anyway.

But because Nintendo is trying to be unpredictable nothing is certain for now.

Anyway, the Switch is definitely doing really well.
