Re: Review: Sonic Frontiers - A Bold But Ultimately Failed Attempt At Something New

PMFan354

That's a shame it has a lot of issues. It definitely has a lot of positive reviews among users.

Although I got a feeling there really are a lot of issues with the visuals performance on the switch.

Well, I'm leaving it for now anyway, but will check over reviews again sometime and probably try it out if things are still overall positive.

Sounds like the right review but the wrong score but can't say as idk.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 5th)

PMFan354

I got the N64 subscription service for Paper Mario. I wasn't going to resub but the Mario Parties had me choose to after all.

I'm playing Mario Party 2 and Pokemon Unite.

Loving playing through Mario Party 2 again. Mystery Land is a bit everywhere. The only thing is that the boards are slow, but that's alright!

I'm saving Mario Party for later.

I also have done the super bosses, or something, from Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The gold pipe ones. Those were really fun for me, and I loved the creativity of the final boss fight which I finished earlier this week.

Pokemon Unite has me playing as Snorlax. So fun to block people into walls and stuff. I don't like their monetization, but I'm still playing for now.

Re: Sega Thinks Its "Super Game" Could Bank Over $600 Million USD

PMFan354

I'm all for them having a positive outlook, and that's great, but it should be realistic and caring to players too. They're just making it sound as amazing as they can make it sound, without anything to show, and I'm not sure that that won't backfire. It's also a few years away, so I'll forget about this for now and see what it actually is then.

I'd have said they're working on something they're hoping or planning to be very sucessful, then be this daring this early on. Plans and concepts can be amazing, but it has to fit and work during development and not be buggy on release. Also what IP is this? Even if it is a multi cross over, it won't be for everyone, right?

I suppose they mean they'll want this targeted to as many people as they can... but still, not everyone is going to like this "super game" and it should be targeted as what it is to the right audiences. Even if that's a majority of gamers. Well, will see what this is in a few years.

I hope it's sucessful and something good, it actually really could be, but this is a bit early to say all of this to us.

Re: Video: 10 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In November 2022

PMFan354

Just Pokemon Scarlet for me. Pokemon Scarlet has me very interested and curious, so I will probably keep my pre-order. I just hope the performance doesn't bug me, it definitely looks good, so I'm hoping it really will be.

I have a feeling Sonic Frontiers will actually be good, I really hope so as it's about time a 3D Sonic game becomes good again. I'll be skipping it for now, but if the reviews are positive, then I could get it evetually.

Harvestella actually looks good too. That's on my list of at least acknowledging it could be a good game if the reviews are positive.

Re: Sonic Team Head: Sonic Frontiers And Breath Of The Wild Are "Not Similar At All"

PMFan354

There is action in Breath of the Wild. Both games have a lot of similarities even if the action Sonic does in Sonic Frontiers takes a different direction from how Link would handle it.

So I'd say they are different in how they play, but clearly heavily inspired by Breath of the Wild.

It's not a complete rip off, but they clearly took heavy inspiration from Breath of the Wild, or have many similar ideas as that game, at the very least.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Prefer 'Super Mario Odyssey 2' Or A Totally New 3D Mario?

PMFan354

I feel it's harder to predict what Nintendo will do this time around, as they've shown a lot of open possibilities.

It's hard to tell for certain when their next main 3D Mario game will be, but as we have had one every 5 years I'd really hope they give us one next year, I'm sure there will be some sort of Mario game next year. Here's hoping it will be the next 3D Mario game! As Zelda is getting one. Otherwise, in the next 2 years, I feel it would have to be.

I don't mind what they do, as long as it's really fun to play. Odyssey 2, Something new in the style of their 3D Mario games, Some open world Mario game. I doubt Galaxy 3, but even Galaxy 3 if it has surprises, or some new twist that works. I just feel it would need something new, surprising or different if they ever do that.

Unless it's Galaxy 3 and another 3D Mario game within the same next 5 years, but I doubt they'll do that.

So I'm open to anything as long as it's good.

I like Cappy, but any other created ally for the next game could replicate at least some of Cappy moves if they want to. If they do Odyssey 2, I'd expect it to be Cappy, unless they choose a new hat, but if it is Odyssey 2, I'd be surprised if it wasn't Cappy.

I don't mind! As long as it's good. But I really hope for a 3D Mario next year, I'd be very surprised if a Mario game of some kind doesn't come out next year. It makes sense for a Mario game of some kind around the time of the movie.

And I'd be very surprised if we don't have a new 3D Mario game by 2024.

Re: Bayonetta's OG Voice Actor Responds To Online Backlash In Ongoing Dispute

PMFan354

Well I'm glad that is looking to be finally cleared up.

Honestly, she should not have twisted the truth to begin with, nor tell people not to buy the game over her argument.

She really should just apologise over what she's said and not make it worse. If she has issues with PlatinumGames, for whatever reason, then fine, share that, if you really must. (Although these issues don't look justified at all). But don't make it up and twist what's true.

But she really looks to not be in a clear state of thinking over any of this to be honest, which is sad to see.

She may look normal enough, but something isn't right with her behaviour to a point I question, what is she even doing and is she without mental health issues while doing it?

At least she cleared it up, in a very odd way.

Anyway, it's clear now and nothing else to say or see here.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 22nd)

PMFan354

I did play Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope on release day, and will continue to play through this weekend. I'm enjoying the game a lot. I love the freedom in exploring and how fun it feels and plays. Just starting the second planet at the moment.

I am also someone who likes it a lot because it's colourful and just so funny at times. The cutscenes are very fun and well done.

Will keep playing later today & soon.

A really good game by Ubisoft and the teams that worked on this, overall, for sure.

Re: Glastrier And Spectrier Now Appearing In Pokémon Sword And Shield Max Raid Battles

PMFan354

That's good, but I wish their other Max Raid Battles had better rewards too. I don't know of the recent ones, so maybe it changed.

But I felt they could've given more rewards, or make them better, with some of the evented Max Raid Battles.

Some were fine, and sometimes the Pokemom was a good reward, but sometimes I felt they got in the way of normal Max Raid Battles.

I still found them fun from time to time. I'm talking about the evented ones rather than the ones in base game or DLC.

I did like the Armorite Ore and EXP Candies rewards.

I do get they don't want to OP us too much and QoL improvement, that I enjoyed, already do a bit. So I understand they have to be careful.

I hope Scarlet & Violet feels more rewarding with their evented raid events.

Re: Hands On: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Performance Distracts From Neat New Features And Flourishes

PMFan354

I just have a feeling that it'll be enjoyable and good enough for me, so I plan to keep my pre-order unless something big really changes this. The writing looks better than Sword & Shield, so I really hope so.

But they really should fix technical issues, especially performance because it should play well in that aspect, as well as look good.

I didn't like how buggy Sword was in that aspect at times, but thankfully other issues are why I felt disappointed in that game, a lot more than the performance.

I am keeping my eyes on most of the footage and information. But not much on the leaks. If I get really concerned, I'll wait for reviews before pre-ordering again, but for now it looks enjoyable enough for me, so hopefully it will be.

Don't get me wrong, they actually do do a lot right, and I'm glad that is the case, I can't criticise everything, it's just it needs to comes together well and not be too lacking in certain areas.

Because the writing and stories looks better than Sword so far, I think I'll just like it anyway, but still!

I'm a lot easier to please, but I want them to fix these type of issues too.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

PMFan354

@Brett No, I understand that you weren't, thanks for being clear, it's fine. Sorry if I misunderstood.

Well either things will become clearer, or they're staying like this.

I agree there was something very wrong with a lot of Donald Trump actions, but, it looks to me like Hellena more likely snapped somehow, or something, IF she did lie, mental health related. She might have a good reason to be angry, but she might not and she may be thinking clearly but she may not be.

And I'm not siding for certain on Hellena's lying without further clarity, just that yeah it's definitely possible.

I don't mean to be annoying, sorry if I misunderstood what you were saying a little, and if I come across annoying to you. I apologise if something upset you, but I'm not trying to be but I just don't feel I can take any side as factual right now.

It doesn't matter too much though, so I won't argue or anything further. I'm also allowed to have my thoughts and opinions from what I've seen.

It doesn't mean your wrong. Your comments are fine.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

PMFan354

@Wexter I mean that's very possible. I'm not saying it isn't the case. I sided with her to begin with, not on boycotting or anything just the VA pay, but did feel it's possible I'm missing something crucial. I'm not siding anywhere now as being certain, except Jennifer should not be attacked over this.

But I don't feel to dismiss what she said for certain either. She should apologise for how she worded herself, and if she's got confused to just explain that, but only lying if she actually lied.

If something more happened here, she could have a good reason to be angry, but she may not have one.

It's also possible she did have the intent to just cause some drama, or not that but something similar, without mental health issues, although I think if she did lie mental health issues look likely apart of it.

@Brett Not sure, but if you are talking to me as well, I don't mean your being snarky, only that, for me, I don't think to rule any of the possibilities out, but if you think she definitely lied then that's fine, and your not being snarky.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

PMFan354

@roboshort It was bad how she came out with it, but it looks like anger for some reason to me.

And while it could be her causing drama, or not thinking, or just lying because she changed her mind or is upset she isn't Bayonetta alone, etc, I don't want to rule out that she might have had a good reason to be angry as still possible to be the case.

But, true or not true, I think she should have worded herself a lot better.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

PMFan354

@Brett I just think, in this scenario, it's better to know something for certain before claiming Hellena is lying and on purpose, when three other options are possible.

It true an anonymous source would have to be careful, just as Bloomberg would likely want to be careful before sharing the report, but I don't see that as definite.

It doesn't mean it's not the case, but it's not definite either.

I'm sure the COVID vaccines have been tested with care, all of them, and there is plently of factual evidence that shows us they are a huge help in surviving COVID.

I don't see Hellena is for certain lying and doing it on purpose to stir drama in a hateful way, is looking definite and factual, right now. And with no mental health issues involved, or justified reasons as why she possibly is angry, from her, related to this, being factual for certain, without some guessing that could be wrong, right now, is definite and true for certain.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

PMFan354

@Brett I don't think an anonymous source is enough evidence to be 100% factual.

And if she did lie, and if she has mental health issues truly, then there can actually be more than one reason why she lied, but we don't know she lied for certain either.

Though it's fine if you think that's the most reasonable and most likely thing to be true.

I'm not certain myself.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

PMFan354

Unfortunately, not knowing the truth here makes it hard to know what happened, as in facts. So I don't want to reach any conclusions.

That said, I agree that Jennifer should not be being attacked over this.

Hellena either told the truth, is confused or lied. If confused or lied, it could be related to mental health, or otherwise something she really shouldn't have started. But she might be telling the truth and be angry with good reason.

Re: A New Bayonetta 3 Report Features A Differing Account Of PlatinumGames’ VA Pay Offer

PMFan354

I'm not sure what to believe now, but I hope there is very clear resolution, if there isn't already.

I hope Hellena did not lie, I already felt she could word herself better but also assumed she was angry with reason and saying what was likely to be true about her reasons.

She did say she had mental health issues, so maybe she does and lied, related to that.

But I won't assume for certain she's telling the truth, or lying, or confused, right now.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Mario Party Game?

PMFan354

Okay, I can add my ratings too.

For me out of the ones I've played:-
DS > 5 > 1 > 3 > 2 > 7 > MPSS > 4 > 6 > 9 > SMP > GBA > 8 > 10.

The only one I think I have an unpopular opinion on is 8. And maybe 6?

Although I loved 9, even though it's after most of them for me, and most people disliked it a lot more than I did. I liked it.

I loved SMP minigames and character cast, which is the only reason it's score is still higher than 7.

3 > 2 > 1 or 2 > 3 > 1 is what I think most people choose, but my order and placement on those isn't that different.

Highest rating 10/10. Lowest 7/10.

I love the Mario Party series overall!

Re: Review: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope - Creativity Trumps Challenge In This Delightful, Divergent Sequel

PMFan354

This looks great for me, I pre-ordered the Gold edition, as I have trust I can enjoy the Rayman DLC in the future, sure hope so!

It's a shame the difficulty is turned down a bit, or a lot, by some of the Sparks. I cheesed bits of Kingdom Battle with more health anyway, but I still liked some challenge at times. I suppose I have to either use Sparks that aren't as powerful as Glitter, or ignore them at times, and then the challenge might be there a bit.

I DID finish Kingdom Battle and the DLC, if by that we mean final boss with the stories. I then left it there and did not go back to the extra challenges.

I heard a bit of Beep-0 on the previews, but choice not to watch the videos much. To me, it sounded half like him and half nothing like him at the same time. How I thought he'd sound. A bit annoying to start with but I think I might actually like it or thinks it's okay for me, although maybe not. I will see for sure when the game comes, hopefully it won't bug me.

Otherwise yeah, what I was expecting. But 5 planets is a bit disappointing, although it's fine. I thought it might be 4 main ones or something. The first game had 4 main worlds anyway and it sounds like it's still a fun tactical game overall.

We'll see my final thoughts when it comes, but still happy and excited for this!

Re: Random: Modders Recreate Super Mario Sunshine Stage From Space World 2001

PMFan354

Wow, I never thought there was enough material released publically to mod that.

I do really enjoy Super Mario Sunshine, some stuff from the original footage did look good as well. But I do find the game to be difficult, and more than I want with it's difficultly. But still, such a fun game with many good ideas for a hoilday themed 3D Mario game.

It was nice to see Isle Delfino in Minecraft (sort of!). Maybe they can make a version of it as an extra area in the next 3D Mario game.

I do think they should bring Toadworth back.

Re: Bayonetta's OG Voice Actor Asks Fans To "Boycott" Third Game After PlatinumGames Wage Fallout

PMFan354

So I've not played the Bayonetta games and don't plan to and I also have no clue how much a voice actor should be payed for the lead role in a lengthy video game, but with that out the way, $4000 sounds a low amount to me. Especially with the profits PlatinumGames and Nintendo are making. (Not talking about her figures, just know the games give a huge profit). So this does sound really unfair for her. I might be ignorant on something, and therefore wrong, but otherwise, yeah, I don't think that sounds good. I'm not going to boycott any of the games or this 3rd one, but this certainly sounds like greed from the company... but I might be wrong? I don't know.

I do think the way she called this out could be a lot better handled, but if she's angry and has the right to be, and mental health issues on top, I suppose that is one way a person would respond. As long as I understood right, anyway.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 15th)

PMFan354

I finished Ori and the Will of The Wisps. Beautiful game with amazing art. I really disliked the ending, but enjoyed the overall experience and recommend both Ori games to others. The first game ended way better for me, but I still really enjoy both of them.

So for that reason, I've been playing Mario Maker 2 since yesterday. The co-op mode with randoms can be really fun at times. It's great you still get into games with 3 others with ease! I don't always enjoy all random courses, but there is still a lot of fun to be had. I will play more today. I've had the game for ages, but just want to go back to it.

I think that will be it from me today.

Re: New Sonic Frontiers Trailer Finally Showcases The Combat, And It's A Lot To Take In

PMFan354

It looks good to me. I doubt it would be too complex, if you can read the information carefully in the game, or gain the experience by playing. Am sure the online guides will also help and be clear enough, if it is still complex. It's because it's a video.

The game looks good to me, and I hope it is, but I'm planning to wait for the reviews and also what it is like on the Switch. Just to be sure.

Sega does make good Sonic games, and in the past they have too, but unfortunately they've made some really bad ones too. I don't think this will be a bad game, but it's my guess for now, I just hope I'm right on that guess.

Re: Meet Iono, The Electric-Type Gym Leader From Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

PMFan354

It wasn't for me, but I don't have issues with it. Can understand if some people like it, or find it annoying, etc.

Hope their next update shows more new Pokemon, or something more for me. But interesting to know a little more about another gym leader, even though that video really wasn't for me.

I have no issues with her art style, it fits in with the themes of different colours and maybe dyes? hair that they're going with on many of the characters revealed so far.

Re: Meet The Nopon Archsage, Coming In Wave 2 Of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC

PMFan354

It's too much for me to finish this game in one go. I got to Chapter 5 and have done a lot of side quests. I do plan to go back and finish where I left off, but I'll wait at least a while (not years, maybe even just another month or two) before going back.

I like Nopon's a lot. And both Riku and Manana a lot.

This DLC sounds good.
