The Next Pokémon Presents Could Be Soon, According To A New Datamine

Not surprising, that's about when I expected the Presents to be given that both DLC packs are late in the year (and we STILL don't even know anything more than "Fall" and "Winter") and SV themselves got their big blowout in August, 2 months later than usual.

Makes sense. We’re getting close to the release of Teal Mask, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they go further into detail on both it and Indigo Mask. In addition, this would be the perfect time for them to talk more about Detective Pikachu Returns and to advertise events in Pokémon Masters EX, Cafe Remix, Sleep, Unite, and more importantly in August: the Pokémon World Championships.

I really really want to play the dlc, but i really really don't want to spend 35 dollars on a really buggy game I've already spent 60 on... I hope we get news about a new (or remake) game but my hopes are not high. Maybe we'll get pokemon titles on NSO?

Cool. I’m interested to see more of the DLC as I thought the main game was great (performance and visuals aside). I’m not expecting anything else from the Showcase, though.

I recently realized that I've moved on from Pokemon. The last few generations didn't interest me, if I want my pokemon fix I'll play Red, Pearl, Y or Sun. The new games just don't interest me anymore

Is there a chance we can wear the new outfit(s) in Paldea? In Shield and Seord you could wear that tundra uniform, we’re you able to wear it anywhere or just in DLC areas?

@Emmerichcoal Nah, the open world concept is great for Pokémon. They just need more time to develop the games.

Would love for them to take a break from all the rehashes and take the time needed to come up with something truly innovative. The series is in such a rut, which it seems the endless reskins will not be able to course-correct successfully.

@RainbowGazelle I mean that's every Pokemon Presents. The only good Presents are the ones where they have good surprises in the other 20% (that's the difference between February's and a typical Presents, the other 20% of last February's was pretty bad too).

The Pokemon World Championship in Yokohama is Aug 11th-13th so good chance it will be shown there, or be used as a quick preview of it while giving us DLC info + pack 1 release date.

I have extremely low expectations because pokémon is all about the money and much less about quality these days, but once in a blue moon an actual fun pokémon game still comes out. I hope one of those will be featured here.

An actual free roam Pokémon Snap game would be a dream game. But the chances of that happening are about just as high as getting a female shiny starter pokémon.

I know there's no confirmation yet but, now I think about it, August kind of makes sense for a Pokemon presentation for the S&V DLC and maybe more on Detective Pikachu.

I don't mind them announcing something new but I hope it won't be something that is, or will be, rushed out. If it's not rushed out, I don't mind.

If it is rushed out, I don't want anything new announced just yet. As much as it's nice to know about new announcements. Something that's been in development for a while should hopefully be okay though.

Until Violet/Scarlet stop looking and running like PS1-era garbage, I have zero interest in DLC.

Pokemon Presents in early August, Indie World in late August, and a Nintendo Direct in September. Hope we get all 3!

@Mauzuri haha I guess the origins are that when the portraits overlapped during the game it made for quite a curious image.

Since it looked funny I dressed the resulting guise up a little and turned it into a character for this forum (and a bit beyond).

@Mauzuri For a brief period of time, the site went to 5+ thumbs down for other users comments. That was ages ago however, and I can't see NL's websites reversing the change at this point.

@solarwolf07 I guess you are new to Pokémon games, because you expecting new or remake game reveal at presents this years. First for main line/core games this year is for DLC, second we already have spin-off game for this year as well with Detective Pikachu Returns, third is following first one due new or remake of main line/core games nowa days are released Friday before Black Friday (and only time they revealed main line/core game 1 year+ ahead without name or anything just it will happen was 2018-05-30 Pokémon Conference, because they were revealing they first game for NS and we only learned name and some gameplay at next years usual Pokémon birthday Direct/Presents aka it was Sword & Shield, and I not expecting Nintendo reveal new console before August 8th). So only new or remakes or ports to happen is mobile game or GB/GBC/GBA main line/core games for NSO + maybe spin-offs as well. Or at least fans that following this franchise for at least over 10 years going with that level or lower level expectations like me.

This timing is interesting given Nintendo chose to put Pokemon in the June general Direct. It gives the impression that something Switch related in this Pokemon Presents must be releasing before the inevitable September general Direct. My guess would be additions to NSO (Stadium 2, TCG and perhaps unannounced additions like Gen 1/2/3 or Pinball).
