@HeHateMii That's how I see it and find it weird people want to reply to me, pretending that's not there and not the case at all. Lol. And then use my ignorant on exactly what the law says, to say it's all fine. I don't know, but it isn't that great of an idea to have this in the marketing for the Steam Deck, imo.
But I'm glad you like the Steam Deck and I don't dislike Valve or anything myself.
I am not some angry Nintendo fan, like some comment said, either. I am a fan of a lot of Nintendo games and I like Nintendo in a lot of ways, but I'm not angry with Valve or anything, I see the article, also think it looks fishy, and leave my opinion and comment, and from my knowlege this doesn't look that great to me.
But yeah, I don't want to be the cause of stuff, turning into, too deep discussions or arguments, so I think I'll just leave the replies to me alone now.
@HeHateMii Yeah, that is what I thought. It's the suggestive marketing as I was saying, isn't that creating a case it's helping Nintendo loose money? It's at least fishy. But idk for certain the laws on it. It might not be enough, but it looks bold to me and not something that should be done by them, really.
I am not against Valve in any personal way or Steam Decks though.
@BloodNinja While true about marketing and marketing campaigns, that's kind of off the point. It's what is suggestive here and the way it's suggestive and what's suggestive that looks really fishy. Right or wrong, way to go in hanging on the word "suggestive", changing subjects, or pretending you didn't get what I was trying to say... or something like that? Anyway, that alone doesn't mean I was right, so no point in both of us talking further about it or playing around with a particular word in a comment. It's either fishy and is fine or wasn't fine at all, in some way.
@BloodNinja I'm pretty sure there could be a case that the promotion and marketing of this material, in this particular marketing, leads to subtle thoughts of people buying a steam deck to emulate Nintendo games, it's very subtle but there imo. Which is considered losing money to Nintendo. Not the issue with fair personal use on emulation. I'm pretty sure that case is also handled differently depending on country. But maybe it's too subtle and so I am actually wrong. shurgs
Nintend Life isn't a company behind a competitive, to Nintendo, device to gaming that allows you to play Nintendo games on a device that technically has no permission to be played on, outright marketing a emulator that works well on their steam deck, with, possible, purposely subtle hints towards something else, but again I don't know for certain, as I don't know all the laws and I'm not paying a lawyer to look through a lot of complex laws about it. What I do know, it at least looks fishy.
And I'm not arguing what other people can or can't do for personal use, which is different and probably is legal, or at least a grey area. I am just saying the looks of prompting emulaton like this is fishy and in your face as so.
I also know emulations themselves are legal already, or I assumed that from last time I checked. But the promotion of it, in marketing, on a steam deck, like that, is suggestive.
I'm also not saying what other people should do for personal use, or what people should do when / if they buy the steam deck.
@yuwarite I think that video will be fine, but I'm not convinced Valve can promote emulation as part of it's marketing and there's nothing Nintendo can do about it, which they may want to do something about if, at least is some way, if they catch on and can.
@YANDMAN I'm not talking about what a person does with their device but rather the promoting of emulations (and the subtle promotimg of roms), very out in the open media in a way it can be taken down, because it's Valve itself, I think it applies here.
Giving how Nintendo treats piracy very seriously, and how they are extreme with treating piracy seriously, they probably won't like this and want to do something about it, at least in some way.
I will say yes, it's really good. I feel to wait and see more, but so far it's a lot better than I thought, thankfully. I was a bit too skeptical, but I did want it to be good, so I'm glad it looks good so far. I think overall it will have mostly positive reactions. Which is very good. Will still wait to see more before reaching conclusions, but am convinced of that, otherwise.
It's still probably not something I'll see and watch, at least at cinemas, but it looks good to me and I'm happy to keep my eyes on it. I hope Nintendo is working on a new 3D Mario game for next year, haha. I find that more something I would want.
Mario's voice, it's fine. I'm not sure it's special but it's fine for me. So I'm slighlty more positive than otherwise neutral? I'm glad it doesn't sound bad to me, which is good. I feel I need more than a few lines to make up my mind for certain though. But so far, I think for the movie it's fine. The other voices were okay too. But, I don't want them to replace Mario's accent and voice in the games.
That is quite cool how they did it. I thought it would be Ghost or Dark but yeah Psychic fits with it closing it's extra head so it can't see. And that does look like a Chain Chomp to me.
I would have no idea how to draw in a QR code, unless you can just paste it in. Wow, yes definitely recommend people be cautious of this. Hopefully Nintendo can and will do something to stop illustrated QR codes by other users in the main hub from working.
I think his odyssey look is better but it looks alright. Something does seem a bit off, and he could look better, I think? But it's not too bad, it's alright. I don't see this as making or breaking the movie nor something too bad. I wouldn't mind them experimenting to improve the design a little, but it's fine. Or, we have to wait for a trailer reveal and see. If this is Mario's face, it's a bit different and could look better, but still okay.
I really didn't even notice any of this, really weird stuff to talk about. Oh well, as long as they don't then make it "too big", I don't care if they "fix" this or not, so either way works for me.
@Ryu_Niiyama I feel like even Twilight Princess did that, with exploring Hyrule Castle Town and creating the Twilight Realm and those living in it. Yep it's true, BOTW does that. It kind of makes sense that we are always Link, at least so far. As they base the stories on us playing him... It's good to make the world more alive with other characters, so it makes sense they try to add that in and keep improving upon the idea. And it is good they do! It does a lot for BOTW, even in OOT as you said. Having all the different races is great and helps a lot.
@Ryu_Niiyama It's intresting how it's similar to the champions. Two people can have similar ideas, so could be coincidence, but it could also have been influenced, in some way, by this. Like you said.
I used "two people can" to simplify what I wanted to say. Of course you could say two developers, two companies, two studios, two teams, just Nintendo and Retro Studios, etc, instead, if you want.
It's an incredibly fun and good Mario Kart game. I really enjoyed playing it on the GameCube a long time ago.
I don't know if it's the best Mario Kart game, but none of you is off the mark. It did a lot of fun things with the Double Dash partner feature and the tracks were good, including the popular Baby Park track.
I would really love Nintendo to make another Paper Mario like the first two in the series (N64, TTYD) first, but another Super Mario RPG would be really nice and great as well. Hope it can happen sometime!
I feel the pace of gameplay elements here is faster, and I really like that. But I did enjoy Pokemon Blue back then and had a lot of fun with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond very recently.
Legend Arceus is probably is still the most fun I had, but I equally did enjoy Brilliant Diamond having not played the original. (I know or expect Platinum is still better like people say, but I'm happy enough with what I've played on the Switch for now).
Legends is still a really nice change, I hope they continue that series, and if it can make sense to then include elements of it in the Gen 9 mainline Pokemon game, I hope they do. But it does depend on what would work better for that game.
@Anti-Matter I don't think it's that much of an unpopular opinion, as I see people on youtube comments saying the same thing? Maybe it is unpopular, or not, but it can look strange and/or creepy if looked at in certain ways.
I don't find it cute, but I do I find it more funny and interesting than creepy myself, but I can see why people would find it either strange or creepy or both.
It's great to see this game coming out on the Nintendo Switch. Finally!
I'm excited it's going to exist, and I'm a bit disappointed we can't get an HD remake version, but I think that's also getting too high hopes, at least for now. Still, this doesn't look bad to me, as it IS a PS1 game, and I really enjoyed Chrono Trigger. I know this game is hugely different, but having never played it, I'm glad I can now have the chance to on the Nintendo Switch.
Some comments here seem really uncalled for. I didn't watch the show regularly but I saw a few bits and clips of some of the episodes. They were fine to me, just not my thing that much.
Maybe Nintendo will replace it with something else? Or it could be the end of anything like that again for at least a while...
I was never able to complete OoT, I got stuck on the Fire Dungeon? The 4th dungeon in the game. Up to that point, I did like Navi a lot and thought, she felt really great as a companion. I think the only thing she did that was "wrong"/annoying is repetitively saying things that seemed obvious to a lot of players at the time.
If they toned down on that a bit, I don't think she'd be seen as that annoying as the rest of her personality and character was quite nice, in my opinion anyway.
I saw this the other day, and I'm surprised that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door isn't on the list, given how popular of a game it is over here. With a high price demand online for the game as well. I'm even more surprised that neither Paper Mario nor any Paper Mario game is on the list. Wow.
But I'm glad a lot of Zelda games, and the Pokemon games, are. Not sure about the order for all of them, but they should be on the list. And Chrono Trigger. Animal Crossing does not surprise me.
Well Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now working again for me (offline, haven't tried online yet but that may work). After being super slow at downloading what it needed to, it got to 75% and gave me the error message, had to keep pressing A and eventually is resumed where it left off. Reached 100% and now it works fine. So that's good. I've decided to download whatever needs to be downloaded for my other games and online games as well. Good thing I've been playing GameCube games on the Wii and Wii games on the Wii U lately.
Hope Nintendo can find a way to fix things soon, it's good to know from the Reddit comment that they're working on it.
@Anti-Matter Yes mostly and no at the same time. There will be 5 boards included from the Mario Party 1-3 games, those are all three of the N64 Mario Party games, but their waaay more boards than 5 between those three Mario Party games.
There will also be 100 minigames in Mario Party Superstars, from apparently all the main Mario Party games from the consoles (apart from Super)? At least up to Mario Party 8, but I think it was 9 and 10 as well. And that includes Mario Party games on the GameCube and Wii as well as N64.
They did say this, though: “Unfortunately due to that fact Nintendo is still actively investigating the error you reported, we can only provide the troubleshooting steps provided in this e-mail.
We do sincerely apologise and we understand that this is a very frustrating problem, one that Nintendo is working tirelessly to resolve.
In the mean time we would encourage you to keep trying the troubleshooting steps previously provided as this may well resolve your issue before an official fix has been released.”".
I think I have a weird case of this error. I can play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fine (have not tried online today) but Super Smash Bros Ultimate wants an update and it gives me an error for that, if I keep insisting it eventually starts to download the update, the only problem with that is while it's downloading it's super slow and says it'll take an hour and 8 minutes at 12% and this is on an internet connection working fine.
Weird really, can't tell if it's the update, the servers or both.
I wonder if it'll work if it gets to 100%? Be interesting to see. I also had to use a new microSD card, so I'm sure that helped to trigger this error after reading this article saying that causes it too.
It's not a big deal for me right now, as long as it actually fixes which hopefully will happen soon.
The only thing I find super weird is so far we don't know if Daisy is in the game, I'd be really surprised if she isn't when Waluigi is, so I'm sure they'll add her... and maybe some more other characters can be added.
I think they did a good direct. I was a little disappointed as I was hoping news on Mario Odyssey 2 (or what they choose to do next) and some news on Kirby, but not too disappointed as, at least on Kirby, I wasn't sure there would be any news this year.
Hopefully Mario Odyssey 2 (or what they choose to call it) will have news on sometime next year.... but it was a very interesting direct, I think Nintendo did a really good job.
Mario Golf: Super Rush has surprised me, it looks a lot better than I thought and I like the character roster, adventure mode sounds like a nice bonus.
A new WarioWare game I'm pleased to see as it's been so long and I loved all of them in the past.
I can't argue with the comments on Mario Party Superstars, but I will look forward to it and I think I'll enjoy Mario + Rabbids A Sparkle of Hope, even though that'll be sometime next year. It just looks funny and the cinematic are so good.
It's good there will be more news on Breath of the Wild 2 to look forward to as well. Overall a good E3. I'm glad Metroid fans are mostly really happy. And I'm sure they'll be more new on the Donkey Kong game in works, either later this year or definitely next. Some stuff this year excites me, as well as next! : )
I haven't necessarily played these much on the Nintendo Switch lately, but otherwise these are still my top 13 favourites from both NES and SNES combined, with what is available right now. The list is just my own enjoyment and likes, but I think they're all great games. 1. Super Mario World (SNES) 2. Super Mario All Stars (SNES) 3. Kirby Super Star (SNES) 4. Mario Bros. (NES) 5. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) 6. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) 7. Kirby Adventure (NES) 8. Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES) 9. The Legend of Zelda (SNES) 10. Yoshi Island (SNES) 11. Super Mario Kart (SNES) 12. Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES) (But I've never played the first two from memory so they can't appear on my list). 13. Donkey Kong (NES)
@Jamie64326 Interesting to know, thanks! I agree it shouldn't be hard to do. Not surprised to hear that, it was on PC as well long ago as that's how I originally played it.
Guess we'll see if Sega does anything with Sonic 3 & Knuckles soon.
If they could keep it Mario and it's own thing and if they can find the right team to make it right and make it work, then sure why not would love to see what they could do, if it can work well in some way.
Not sure why people would need it in anyway but nothing wrong with people paying for it to be on their Switch if that's something they're really into...... but I'm not changing my mind about it being overpriced in comparison to what you can have on PC, Phones and Android Phones.
I'm not a fan of the rock? music, but I admit I think for the genre of music they went for they played it out quite well. Still not a fan of the music, but it is good they took some risks and glad to hear it's right for other people. I mostly like the pictures and animation.
Have no idea if I can trust the rumour or not, but like someone else said I'd also think it wouldn't be hard to put Sonic 3 & Knuckles on consoles. It is a great 2D Sonic game.
@Giygas_95 I enjoyed it at lot, but the difficulty for almost everything except a few unlockable modes at the highest difficulty, is really really easy. It was still really fun for me and it does add new things to the Kirby lore, especially at the ending. I thought the story was good, gameplay was fun, but it found it the easiest game out of all Kirby games that I have played. Bosses can go down so easily too. I would say get it anyway, you may want to look at other opinions on google or Metacritic, but I know for me and at least a lot of others it still was a good game. I loved a lot of aspects about it, just the difficulty.
I'm excited to see what they do next! 2D Kirby can be excellent. I second a game like Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, or Kirby Super Star Ultra. 3D Kirby also sounds very exciting, hope they do make a 3D game eventually, or next, as that'd be great.
I enjoyed New Super Mario Bros for Wii a lot more than Super Mario Bros U Deluxe port for Nintendo Switch. It just played out more fun in the stages for me, but I did still enjoy Super Mario Bros U Deluxe too.

@HeHateMii That's how I see it and find it weird people want to reply to me, pretending that's not there and not the case at all. Lol.
Re: It Appears This Mario Party Superstars Minigame Has Been Adapted For Accessibility
I noticed that when the Nintendo Direct, it certainly looks like it was done for accessibility (hope so), but it's great it was done.

"I emailed nintendo uk yesterday and they basically said to keep trying all the troubleshooting things… even though I’d already said I’d done all of them and that they hadn’t worked.
Re: Switch Error Code 2123-1502 - Users Still Waiting On Fix For Update 12.0.3 Issues
Re: Mario Party Superstars Will Have You Partying Like It's 1999
The only thing I find super weird is so far we don't know if Daisy is in the game, I'd be really surprised if she isn't when Waluigi is, so I'm sure they'll add her... and maybe some more other characters can be added.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Delivered An Excellent E3 Direct For Fans Old And New
I think they did a good direct.
Re: What Are Your Favourite Switch Online SNES And NES Games? Nintendo Wants To Know
I haven't necessarily played these much on the Nintendo Switch lately, but otherwise these are still my top 13 favourites from both NES and SNES combined, with what is available right now. The list is just my own enjoyment and likes, but I think they're all great games.
1. Super Mario World (SNES)
2. Super Mario All Stars (SNES)
3. Kirby Super Star (SNES)
4. Mario Bros. (NES)
5. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
6. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
7. Kirby Adventure (NES)
8. Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES)
9. The Legend of Zelda (SNES)
10. Yoshi Island (SNES)
11. Super Mario Kart (SNES)
12. Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES) (But I've never played the first two from memory so they can't appear on my list).
13. Donkey Kong (NES)
I really enjoy all these 13 games I picked.
Re: Rumour: Sega Will Re-Release Sonic 3 & Knuckles In A New Sonic Collection
@Jamie64326 Interesting to know, thanks! I agree it shouldn't be hard to do. Not surprised to hear that, it was on PC as well long ago as that's how I originally played it.
Guess we'll see if Sega does anything with Sonic 3 & Knuckles soon.
Re: Koei Tecmo's President Would Love To See A Super Mario Musou Crossover
If they could keep it Mario and it's own thing and if they can find the right team to make it right and make it work, then sure why not would love to see what they could do, if it can work well in some way.
Re: Random: Fans Are Having A Field Day Reviewing Nintendo Switch's Calculator
Not sure why people would need it in anyway but nothing wrong with people paying for it to be on their Switch if that's something they're really into...... but I'm not changing my mind about it being overpriced in comparison to what you can have on PC, Phones and Android Phones.
Re: Here's A Look At The Rockin' Opening Movie For NEO: The World Ends With You
I'm not a fan of the rock? music, but I admit I think for the genre of music they went for they played it out quite well. Still not a fan of the music, but it is good they took some risks and glad to hear it's right for other people. I mostly like the pictures and animation.
Re: Rumour: Sega Will Re-Release Sonic 3 & Knuckles In A New Sonic Collection
Have no idea if I can trust the rumour or not, but like someone else said I'd also think it wouldn't be hard to put Sonic 3 & Knuckles on consoles. It is a great 2D Sonic game.
Re: HAL Laboratory Looking Forward To Sharing Kirby's "Next Phase" With Fans
Re: HAL Laboratory Looking Forward To Sharing Kirby's "Next Phase" With Fans
I'm excited to see what they do next! 2D Kirby can be excellent. I second a game like Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, or Kirby Super Star Ultra. 3D Kirby also sounds very exciting, hope they do make a 3D game eventually, or next, as that'd be great.
Re: Talking Point: New Super Mario Bros. Is 15 Years Old, And It's Still Fantastic
I enjoyed New Super Mario Bros for Wii a lot more than Super Mario Bros U Deluxe port for Nintendo Switch. It just played out more fun in the stages for me, but I did still enjoy Super Mario Bros U Deluxe too.
