Re: We Might Never See The Conclusion To Alien: Rogue Incursion

Sad to hear this, wishing nothing but the best for those who've been laid off. that's awful news. Survios made some fun VR titles in the early days of VR. I'm guessing the studio shutting down has something to do with the fact that they've made so many licensed titles over the years, and most of them didn't sell exceptionally well. Could be me, but that can't be good for longevity, especially when you're making titles for a more niche audience like the VR crowd.

Re: Talking Point: Star Fox Zero Is 10 Years Old - Have You Actually Played It?

Mabelissimo

Never played it myself, but saw a lot of gameplay of it. I think the game doesn't seem that bad overall, it's a cool idea that was maybe not executed all too well. I might be in the minority on this but i also feel like starfox games tend to get stale fairly quick. They're fun shoot em ups but I personally enjoyed adventures and assault way more than any of the games in the franchise (okay except for maybe sf64). I'd like to see more of that in starfox while still having ship combat be a focal point.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Mario Tennis Fever

@tseliot Mario kart never really had a story mode, so i didn't really expect it to have one this time around. Free roam could've had more going for it though, that's for sure! Still found it a well rounded and worthwhile launch title, and I frequently come back to knockout tour.

The adventure mode being lackluster is a huge bummer... Was hoping for something adjacent to the gba mario tennis, But i'm happy to hear that the gameplay is solid! As long as the core gameplay is solid i'll get my money's worth out of it. looking forward to giving it a try this thursday

Re: Talking Point: How Are You Finding Mario Kart's Open World?

Mabelissimo

I think the open world is fun but certainly could do with more content. i kind of enjoy the fact that there's no checklist of any kind, so it feels a lot less like a priority to play, and more of a neat little sandbox to mess around in while chatting with friends! i'll happily take more content, but i'm pretty satisfied with what's already there.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Excited At All For Switch 2 GameChat?

Mabelissimo

@JohnnyMind Exactly! I'm honestly quite surprised at the negative reaction around the switch finally getting voice chat. I'm personally just happy that it's there. Not sure if i'll be using it much (depends on if my friends get a switch 2 or not LOL), but i'm very happy that i got the option to chat with people now!
