Here’s hoping we get a sequel, or even some kind of DLC expansion, within the next few years.

@ModdedInkling Unfortunately all the Brawlhalla crossovers (except for Rayman) are skins for the original characters since every character shares moves; the differences in characters come in their stats and the two weapons they're allowed to use. They picked which OC's weapons and stats would best fit to plop Ryu over.

I just picked this game up on sale today and it's a solid-ish game so far! Gameplay wise it will never be my first choice over, say, SSBU or Rivals of Aether, but it's neat!

Glad to see they're dedicated to adding content to the game, although I sort of wish they would have delayed the launch in order to include it all at once.

I think GOTY will be between Metroid and RE Village. There was a fairly solid game selection this year!

Can they not just...release it physically in retailers?? Star Wars is one of the largest IPs in history, surely they could afford a regular release.

Deku Deals is a one man project???? That’s insane; I use that website very frequently and it’s been incredibly useful in finding deals for games (as advertised, lol). It’s a genuinely amazing site.

I’m excited to go pick mine up later today. I mostly got it to go with my Mario one but I’m excited to play Link’s Awakening for the first time. I hope they make more of these going forward, and that they add more games to them in the future to further justify the $50 USD price tag.

Really interesting to see Fortnite’s Minty Legends to be selling that well in Japan. I heard the game was still popular over there but this is a big confirmation of that.

I’m very excited for this, not because I’m a Naruto fan, but because this opens the door for a lot more Japanese content in Fortnite. With both Capcom (Street Fighter & Resident Evil) and Naruto already under their belts, I’m excited to see who they choose next.

(i’m hoping for either a persona 5 collab or a dragon ball collab because i think those would be very funny)

@Ralizah Came here to say this; I think the natural evolution of an anime collab is having Dragon Ball next; I would love that.

Honestly this seems like the way to do it going forward if they’re going to continue dual releases (they obviously will). It seems like a lot less work on the developers to do things this way, especially given how precisely scheduled into the future Pokémon always is. This could potentially save them time behind the scenes (I have no clue how game dev actually works, but I’d imagine this makes bug fixes/patches easier since they only have to update one ROM).

Really, really cool to see that they're pouring their newfound resources into making the game into a much more fleshed out experience. The microtransactions make me wary, but as long as they remain cosmetic only I don't see an issue. Cool stuff all around!

This gives me VERY mixed feelings. On one hand, just give us Yo-Kai Watch 4 like you promised, Level-5, dangit. On the other, I'm glad we're getting something at all and I will buy it just to show interest in the series + get new YKW content.

Releasing a spin-off where all the characters are human high schoolers isn't Level-5's way to put YKW back into the public gaming consciousness. Their edgier mainline sequel with a more hands-on combat system is, and it's looking like we're never going to get that at this rate. What a darn shame.

As someone who has just recently become a Metroid "fan" thanks to Dread, this is awesome to hear. As much as going back and playing all that I've missed out on is exciting, the prospect of new games in the series is even more.

I got mine here in the US before I even picked up the game and they're fantastic figurines. I wish they did a little bit more in-game, but as display pieces they look amazing. I'm very glad amiibo have begun getting higher in production quality.

It says a lot that all the bugs being fixed are hard to find and highly specific, I think. This game is really dang polished!

I really like it! The game isn’t obtrusive to daily life, and it’s very casual friendly; I had a friend at college say she downloaded it last night because it looked cute and she loves it so far. I also like how there’s really no incentive (yet) to spend money. It’s just a really nice feeling experience that can be played just by living life.

I think as of right now, platform fighters will go on, with or without Smash, with competitive games like Rivals of Aether or Brawlhalla and casual games like Nick All-Star Brawl. There's a lot of good to great games that can scratch that Smash Bros. itch; platform fighters are in sort of a golden age right now.

I'm not expecting a new Smash title for years, at least not until the next Nintendo console (even then, my gut reaction is to think they'd port Ultimate with added content), and given how good Ultimate has been, and how many new platform fighters we've been getting recently, we really don't need a new Smash title.

I agree with @westman98 - I think in some strange way he'll be better for this role than for Mario. This isn't nearly as funny of an announcement, though.

@Edwirichuu Lol nah, I’m not really a Monster Hunter guy. It’s short for “MasterHand4444” which is a name I made as a young teen because I love Smash Bros. and I love the number four 😂 The shortened version has stuck with me all these years; a little late to change it now!

@TryToBeHopeful I know, right?? I randomly saw it in a video one day and was shocked. It was only about 500¥, so I got a 1000¥ code from PlayAsia and gave it a whirl. As you’d expect of an emulated version of a flip phone version of Tetris, it’s a little clunky, but it works! It’s a really neat piece of history.

Time to throw this on the pile then, lol. I have every Tetris title on Switch (including Tetris Diamond, a Japan exclusive port of a flip phone version of Tetris that was [presumably] also Japan exclusive), and I’d very much like to keep it that way.

That’s really funny. Imagine flying away, having the Pikmin get to you, and then having to fly back before it can reach you. Comedy gold.

Always neat to see celebrities genuinely open about their gaming hobbies. I watched his reaction to having his likeness in Fortnite as Paul Atreides and he seemed genuinely excited about it. Good stuff.

Edit: Also he was excellent in Dune. You should see that movie.

Played it for a bit and it’s nice! It’s not very “game-y” but it’s a neat background thing that encourages you to check up every now and then. The flower trails are neat as well since you can see where others have walked; I was shocked to see someone else had already laid a flower trail on my school campus.

It’s not super engaging but that’s not the point of it. It’s a neat little app. If you can, I say try it for a bit.

@GannonBanned Right? 😂 I got the Xenoblade phone holder shaped like the Monado thinking “I’ll use that maybe” but now it’s still unopened and sitting in a storage bin. I doubt the My Nintendo stuff I have will be worth much going forward, but you never know, I suppose.

Glad to see it’s good fun, as I’d hoped! Now I just need to find people that will play with me, haha.

I loved getting and not using the physical My Nintendo garbage…not even being sarcastic. I’m really glad I managed to snag the Metroid Dread posters before they delisted them. This really sucks.

Glad I didn’t pay for this, then. The selection of NES games and SNES games can be laughable sometimes, but at least the function really, really well (in my experience). This is just embarrassing, especially at this price point.

This could be good fun if done properly, but I really want to see Disney attempt a platform fighter. Given that they have Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar, Fox, and their originals to pull from, we could see matchups like Homer Simpson vs. Darth Vader or Buzz Lightyear vs. Dr. Doom.

I just got to Metroid Dread’s final boss and holy cow has this game been a ride. Absolutely so glad I took a leap of faith into a game I wasn’t sure I’d like; Metroid Dread is one of my favorite Switch experiences now.

I’ve also been trying to level up my Fortnite battle pass, and I’ve been squeezing a few Picross S puzzles and a few Rivals of Aether matches in here and there.

I think this physical release would be a lot more justified if the Switch version of Among Us had local wireless play, making it not completely obsolete once the Switch’s online service goes kaput.

Well darn, I kinda wanted to get this for Christmas. Oh well, at least they’re giving it the time it needs.

This right here is spectacular. They always billed the 11th character as a special bonus, even as going as far as initially teasing five before throwing on a sixth. It’s so cool that they literally only had five before throwing on a sixth.

Congrats to Sakurai, the whole Smash DLC team, and everyone involved in this massive feat.

This could be huge news! No matter if they release popular classics, hidden gems, or obscure oddities, those games will be preserved and playable on modern platforms like with their arcade releases, which is a huge win no matter how you slice it.

I got both Fighters Passes, got Piranha Plant for free, and have bought every Mii Fighter outfit to date. I don’t usually go for completion, but Smash is a special case.

I completely forgot that was today until earlier in the morning, which is a nice feeling. I’ll be sure to get a few matches in when Sora drops; it’s always a good day when a new character drops.

I preordered mine months ago, mostly so I can have it to go with the Mario one, but also because I’d like to play Link’s Awakening on it for the first time. I think that’d be fun.

This past week, I got Hades and Metroid Dread, and they both are excellent so far, ESPECIALLY Metroid Dread! I also beat every normal puzzle and clip puzzle in Picross S2 so now I need to get Picross S3…
