All I can think of now are games I need to get before they shut down the stores LOL. Like, my brother has our Wii U now that I'm in college, but I think I still may download Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission on it just so I can play those games, even if the system isn't mine.

As others have rightfully worried, this is a dangerous precedent we're about to experience in the coming years - once Pokemon Bank shuts down for good, you'll no longer be able to transfer Pokemon up from the GBA to the most recent system with the long, convoluted, weirdly brilliant chain of complicated systems used to transfer Pokemon from gen to gen.

It would be a crime not to include Waluigi Pinball. I know they're the "meme" picks but I grew up loving Waluigi Pinball and Coconut Mall, so having both of them back would be fantastic.

This is the amiibo I am most excited for, probably ever. I'm a huge amiibo collector and one of three surviving huge fans of ARMS (we are an endangered species) so I have always, always wanted ARMS amiibo.

It's a shame the base game never got amiibo support; I always adored the idea of having amiibo that you could take the ARMS weapons off of to mix-and-match them (kinda like those JP-exclusive Monster Hunter Stories amiibo that let you swap the riders and monsters)!

Part of me wishes that this game was rated E10+ so it could be darker and scarier, but it’s downright impressive how dark and tense it can be within the restrictions of an E rating. The wild atmosphere of the game is palpable.

It’s well deserved IMO! I just beat the main story last night and it’s such a cool game.

They’re stunning headphones but I would be horrified to wear them, haha. I wouldn’t trust myself to actually use $500 headphones

I’m hoping the Icons Series branches out from musicians, Fortnite streamers, and sports players into a wider variety of people. A Markiplier skin would be hysterical, for example.

I hope this game’s strong sales set a precedent going forward and that we see more in this style.

I've been waiting for this update for so long, and I'm so incredibly excited that it's finally here. I haven't been able to play much of it but what I have played has been incredibly fantastic. Rivals is one of my favorite fighting games ever (possibly even games period), so seeing it uplifting its community in such an active and encompassing way is genuinely exciting.

Can't wait til I can try all four characters. I can't wait to see what the future holds for the Aether franchise.

I guess this means that until Legends Arceus gets HOME support, catching a Hisuian Voltorb in GO is the only way to transfer a Hisuian Pokemon to HOME. Neat in a very weird, niche way, haha.

Even if this game ends up being not great, it looks silly as heck and like a fun time. I’m absolutely keeping an eye out, this is such a fun and goofy premise.

@Dinklebot I think that comparatively smaller scope is because this is a LEGO Ideas set, not a full series of sets. This is a one-off set that's re-using the Sonic mold found in LEGO Dimensions.

This is a much more interesting idea than a random JPEG you'd own and I can actually see a unique, AI generated voice retaining value. However, until the environmental effects of crypto mining can be addressed, I still don't see any real value in any NFT of any kind.

I have this on Steam; it’s very funny and charming! The different routes you can take are all very fun and different, which I always appreciate with a CYOA game.

Voted “probably” because I may not buy it day one, but I absolutely still want to pick it up eventually. Hopefully Splatfests last longer than they did in Splatoon 2 so the game can stay “alive” longer and people feel obligated to play it longer.

My three most played games this year in order were Fortnite, Picross S2, and Picross S. Sounds about right, haha.

I’d have to say my favorite Switch game I played this year was Metroid Dread. It was long enough to be a satisfying adventure but short enough to where it kept my attention the entire way through. It was also the first Metroid game I’ve ever played to completion and it was a blast.

Heck yeah, new amiibo! If they’re anything like the first MHR ones they’ll be really cool and impossible to find in the first few months of release

@Magician I agree, especially since Among Us has such a small digital price tag and such a small file size. I suppose the inclusion of physical goodies + the cosmetic DLC on the cartridge will make it worth it for superfans.

What's odd is that I can still access Fortnite (just did a few seconds ago). I guess it's because free to play games don't require/utilize Switch Online? IDK; hopefully this all gets resolved soon.

Good to see Nick is putting that Garfield acquisition to good use, and better to see the NASB team is fulfilling their promise of extra content! Having Garfield in a platform fighter in an official capacity is super cool/funny.

I’m always really impressed with people who can stream this long, even with “breaks.” I can hardly get myself to stream for longer than an hour without losing interest, so mad props to this person. (Also, I’m not jealous at all and I could totally find that many shinies if I wanted to.)

I’ve been playing this update a lot and it’s so much fun! The new sliding mechanic feels very fresh, the new map is very fun to explore and get lost in, and the Battle Pass is awesome (the original characters are very well designed and I’m a lifelong Spidey fan haha, I love that his unlockable alts are Symbiote and Future Foundation)! Can’t wait to try it out with friends.

I think the biggest change is that the graphics looks noticeably better in the Switch version. Lighting effects are shinier, textures look better and take a shorter time to load, models seem higher quality…whatever the team at Epic did to better optimize the game has worked and it’s made the overall experience on Switch feel much better than before.

This looks very sleek and cool, and seems like a fair enough price for what they’re offering, especially in terms of high-end modded GCN controllers. However, as neat as this is, I can’t see myself ever grabbing one just because it’s so dang expensive, especially for a more casual player such as myself.

Did Fortnite's events with Marshmello, Travis Scott, and Ariana Grande (which sort of make sense given how Fortnite constantly does crossovers) really generate that much hype/impressions/cash to where everyone has to try and replicate it?

@heiko The main reason I've heard to not play LoL is the toxicity encountered from other players. It looks like a fine enough game despite that.

So what I'm hearing is, "Consume all League of Legends content that isn't League itself?" I've heard Arcane is really good, now this is really good...it's a little bit funny, honestly.
