Shiny Zacian Zamazenta

Update: The distribution is now live across the US, Europe and more. Full details for all regions can be found here.

After initially being revealed for South Korea, and then eventually Japan, the distribution of Shiny Zacian and Shiny Zamazenta for Pokémon Sword and Shield has now been confirmed for fans living in the US.

The distribution will be taking place in partnership with GameStop; players can head in-store to grab a free code while supplies last. Here's all the info you need:

  • Shiny Zacian: For Pokémon Shield only, 22nd October - 11th November
  • Shiny Zamazenta: For Pokémon Sword only, 12th - 26th November

As you can see, the distribution is offering the legendary Pokémon not ordinarily obtainable in each version (usually, Zacian can be found in Sword, while Zamazenta can be found in Shield). Not only will you be getting a Shiny, then, but also a new Pokémon for your Pokédex.

The Pokémon Company has yet to address this announcement itself, so it's still unclear whether the two Pokémon will also be available by other means for those unable to head out to a store. We'll keep an eye out for any further news, as well as any similar distributions for Europe.

Will you be heading to GameStop to track down a new Shiny Pokémon? Let us know in the comments.
