I like the goofy design. It’s fun, and the red and blue is a neat Switch reference.
Off topic a bit (apologies) but I wonder if this game will be amiibo compatible. It’d make all the sense in the world to use amiibo given that the premise of this game is quite literally “physical object manifests Fire Emblem character for combat,” which is what the Fire Emblem amiibo do in SSB and Codename STEAM. I think it’d be a sorely missed opportunity if they don’t include that.
I had them preordered for store pickup at Best Buy, lo and behold Best Buy fricks up and doesn’t have any stock of them. I gotta wait til they get it in to get them, lol. Oh well.
The new knight-lookin' guys look sweet. The crab dude is neat as well; I thought he'd be a Paldean Krabby at first. However I am a bit bummed to see the "evil team" isn't evil - they're just troublemakers, like the past two "evil teams."
Overall I'm looking forward to the game. It looks pretty good so far.
Y’all know what that means — Deep Cut Live CD!! Probably!!
The Squid Sisters and Off the Hook live CDs were taken from their Makuhari performances, so maybe not this specific performance but a later one will get a CD release. But still LOL, can’t wait for that.
What with this and Splatoon 3, September is looking to be a fun month for Nintendo fans. I won't be able to get it at launch most likely but I'm still looking forward to getting this one.
The cynic in me agrees completely with @SilvercatMoonpaw — I think the three stories are just going to be the same three stories as before (gyms, Poké Dex, evil team), just not intertwined.
If that’s the case, it’s still a step in the right direction, but not a very big step lol
Crazy he's finally done with daily pics. They've been going for so long, it feels like they've just been there as long as I can remember. Here's to whatever he has next!
I’ve been playing around with the update and it’s a lot of fun! The new items are very cool, and the novelty of having these characters still hasn’t worn off (making Goku run around with an Among Us guy on his back makes me smile). I also like how straightforward the free challenges are, and how I actually want the free rewards; they did a really good job with this collab.
@JasmineDragon It’s definitely not the best game ever as many claim it to be, but it’s still a very fun and charming game worth giving a chance. Toby Fox’s excellent OST elevates the experience greatly.
I really hope that Multiversus comes to Switch at some point. It genuinely seems like people are having a ton of fun with it, and the focus on tag-team mechanics seems like a very welcome twist to the platform fighter genre!
If your only gaming option is a Switch and you want a non-Smash plat fighter, play Rivals of Aether. It's an excellent, excellent game.
Given that the first sequel was a Zelda crossover and that rifts usually are portals, I'm sincerely hoping that Rift of the Necrodancer is a giant crossover game spanning several universes. It'd be a natural progression of the idea (original, crossover sequel, bigger crossover sequel) and could potentially be a really fun idea! I always love it when indie IPs crossover.
(also this could just be my biased want for the crossover game talking, but did the song in the end seem to have hints of Undertale's "MEGALOVANIA" in it to anyone else?"
Really excited for these! I'm not going to bother trying to preorder them though LOL; amiibo have been very easy to find for me recently. My local GameStop had Min Mins for the longest time, and they still have several Monster Hunter Rise amiibo and like 30 Metroid Dread 2 packs. I'll just waltz in on launch day and grab a pack.
Now THIS is a cool, well implemented crossover. Never heard of the simulator before, but a space organ harvesting game sounds perfect for Among Us to make a guest appearance in.
I sincerely hope optional censorship becomes an industry standard. It is absolutely an accessibility feature in my eyes, and the extra effort to implement it does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
@msvt Honestly wouldn't mind if Splatoon took the Fortnite approach. I think I'd enjoy a (less aggressively monetized) Halo Infinite-like approach, where the online multiplayer is free to play and it's main monetization comes from a paid single player campaign (or campaigns).
I think a big issue with that, however, is the importance of gear in Splatoon's gameplay. The reason Fortnite works monetarily is because the cosmetics don't actually give you a gameplay advantage - otherwise the Darth Vader, Xenomorph, etc. players would be OP. Splatoon's gear actually does alter your gameplay, however, so monetizing that in a F2P context would be a lot trickier to get right.
@Rosona Same developer / publisher. My comment wasn’t focused on Yo-Kai Watch but rather my feelings on LEVEL-5 as a whole and their poor treatment of the West. Hope that clears things up!
Something something Yo-Kai Watch, something something localization. Same song and dance from me, folks; still salty towards the way LEVEL-5 has been treating Western fans.
Hilarious that this is a convention exclusive. They know their audience — convention-focused grown adults arguably care way more about a Pink Gold Peach Hot Wheels car than children (the usual target audience for Hot Wheels).
Good grief, I forgot this game was even slated to come out. I hope they can get it out sooner rather than later. Of course it’s completely understandable why they’d want to wait, but I’m sure many of us were looking forward to it, myself included, so it really does stink that a finished product like this has to be put on the back burner for so long.
Good on them for picking some popular characters that aren't just SpongeBob or the Ninja Turtles (although I am aware the turtles are already in the game lol)
The character models and animations look super clean!
@sketchturner Got it on sale and was able to play through the first world with a friend yesterday, and the level design is super inventive! Plus the silly story is delightful. Absolutely glad I got it.
I got a $20 eShop card and bought Toodee and Topdee the day before this shadow dropped. Wish I wouldn't have in retrospect LOL. I'm glad these are great ports!
(Toodee and Topdee is a great game though, so no regrets there, haha)
Very excited for this game, the freeform combat looks fantastic, but I'm absolutely waiting for a sale because remember yall: This is a Ubisoft game, and just as the sun rises and sets, Ubisoft games go on sale for under $20 USD.
Not that this won't be worth full price, don't get me wrong. The game looks really cool. But the more affordable a game is the better lol
Better than nothing, I suppose; hopefully it isn't like previous partner showcases where they only show, like, three games and spent approx. nine minutes on each.
Edit after watching the direct: It was good! Felt a lot like a normal direct, just without any first party stuff.
I'm very much looking forward to this movie. Hopefully, against all odds, it does end up good so we can get more films, but it'd be really funny to see a trainwreck too.
I laughed audibly when I saw the announcement. This is such an unintentionally comedic announcement, especially given how hard people are wanting a regular Direct nowadays.
The box shape, CDs, and pins make this one especially tempting but as I've said in previous comments sections I think LRG is just overpriced, overhyped nonsense, so thanks but no thanks. Hopefully the CDs get sold elsewhere in the future.
To be fair, I think anyone’s reaction to getting their passion project in Smash would be a dropped jaw and hasty exclamations. I’m super happy that Ultimate had more indie representation in it, and I hope whatever comes next for Smash has more of it too.
Cool to hear Itoi is happy with the influence of his series and how he’s continually encouraging the originality of his fans. The “Hey, you should make Undertale 2!” line is especially telling for me; he seems like he’s finished his story and is satisfied with the conclusion, and now he wants fans to tell their own stories.
Really cool that, despite probably not being able to get the game in the kid's hands, they're still making something happen for him. I 100% agree with Twitter being "a source of pain and consternation" but moments like these are what social media should be for: lifting each other up instead of tearing each other down.
1.) Surely games like Tetris and DOOM didn’t need limited runs. They of course could’ve just released them normally. I genuinely have such a strong dislike for Limited Run and their overpriced, underwhelming “collector’s editions.” These games deserve to be on store shelves.
2.) With my dislike in mind, I may grab the Kokopolo release, just because Kokopolo is a good game and it’s such a hilarious choice for a physical 3DS limited run.
I'm just hoping they don't go after SiIvaGunner (not to be confused with the channel Nintendo already eviscerated GiIvaSunner). Their high quality rips without Nintendo being among them just wouldn't be the same; heck, one of the most prevalent jokes on the channel, 7 GRAND DAD, is in reference to bootleg of a Nintendo property, so Nintendo going after them would be a huge blow on numerous fronts.
What an oddly arbitrary number. If in 2061 Nintendo abruptly launches an EMP that takes out all Nintendo Switch systems without warning, this was your Chekov’s Gun.

1.) If Miku is an earlier costume, I may get this pass lol.
2.) I wonder why Miku isn’t in Fortnite yet. She’d be the most perfect fit for the virtual concerts they like to hold.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See At Tomorrow's Nintendo Direct Showcase?
Looking forward to the very obviously coming ARMS 2 announcement. I think they’ll call it “ARM2.”
Edit: Darn.

Re: Three New Pokémon Introduced In Latest Scarlet & Violet Trailer
I agree with some others that they don’t give off immediate Pokémon vibes, but I think they look sleek and really cool. Reminds me of Bisharp.
