I still plan to play these through my modded 3DS where I can see the 3D visuals without straining my neck and sticking my face in that thing.

Why is Nintendo censoring an M rated game?? We are consenting adults that don't need to be parented! This game is not for their family friendly audience and the M rating proves that. Insulting.

Tanabe had a great legacy, but it may be time to leave franchises like Metroid in better hands. I remember seeing in the credits of Prime 4 that all scan entries were written by him. There was barely any environmental storytelling there, most of the scan entries were meaningless and added no world building, unlike prior entries. Until the final scan of the game revealing the plot when this should have actually been a part of the story (how Sylux used Metroids) and not simply text in a scan entry.

Oh no not this again. I am a huge Persona fan but the last time they did these regular anniversary updates, it was always Japan-only cafe collabs or merch, not new game announcements or anything else the rest of the world could enjoy XD I hope it's different this time but not holding my breath lol

Can we finally get HD-2D remakes of these now? Not fair that only Dragon Quest gets this treatment

I keep wishing they will add an update to New Horizons that lets you swap to the previous animal crossing soundtracks, just for fun and nostalgia's sake. I'd even pay for it. This is a good addition to Nintendo Music though!

Wish this could have been an option when starting the game, to have the original experience or new cutscenes. Love the original but would have loved to see the new scenes too

Why are they updating this but not giving 4K 60 when docked and 1080p when handheld? So many Switch 1 games should benefit more from being on Switch 2

This would be a great candidate for Switch 2 Mouse controls, get rid of that on-screen cursor unless you move the Joy Con to mouse mode

I enjoyed Bayonetta 3 and what it was trying to do. Yes, Viola was a very different type of character than Bayonetta herself, so I understand people not liking her as much, but her slapstick nature makes sense with the later reveals in the game. Still wish for a Switch 2 update or S2 Edition to help resolution and frame rate.

I can already play the Virtual Boy library in stereoscopic 3D on my modded 3DS without needing to buy a $100 accessory and awkwardly stick my face into it. A cool option for enthusiasts, but I am already set.

Why do people keep calling this "bricked"?? Sure, being unable to play online sucks but, but for decades in the modding scene, a console being "bricked" means it can no longer boot or function at all. It is literally as useful as a brick at that point. People need to stop using words they don't understand

I hope once all these bugs are fixed, they can start working on enhancement patches to increase resolution/framerate for switch 1 games

Hmm. None of these mention increased resolution or frame rate. These are probably just compatibility fixes, since we know not all Switch games natively work on Switch 2, with the way backwards compatibility has been implemented. Disappointing, I hope over time at least all 1st party switch games get resolution/frame rate improvements.

Still wish they were widescreen! Dolphin can do it properly, its possible to do!! Until then, unfortunately emulation is still the best experience

A huge disappointment. I was excited to see Switch 2 news come through this app and they only ever use to to show art of Mario characters. This isn't news. There has been so much misinformation about Switch 2 and this should have been one of the channels they used to clarify things, but nothing.

Love what I am seeing from GameCube NSO, however nearly all games can be made widescreen when emulated using things like Gecko codes, having to play Wind Waker 4:3 again is frustrating when its possible to have proper widescreen implementation. Still makes me want to play these on Steam Deck.

Yes! He understands that creative individuals create games, not just companies owning the IP. You can't just fire everyone off and expect their cheaper replacements to bring the same quality.

So will they finally do something new with this franchise? It's obvious it's still popular and relevant in the minds of gamers, but Capcom refuses to do anything besides these collections and DLC cameos.

Thank you for calling attention to this! My reason for purchasing this game was to play co-op, and the co-op mode is ruined. We're also playing with the original difficulty where lives are more scarce so it gets very frustrating. I hope it gets patched!!

Nintendo is still actively working with Retro. Don't they want to maintain a positive relationship and realize this could cause a drop in morale? At the very least they could have mentioned Retro instead of "the original development team". Those who don't already follow gaming would never know Retro made this game.

At this point, if the official Switch 2 doesn't look as sleek as these renders, I'll be disappointed. I'm growing attached to the accent colors on the joycon sticks and face buttons. Nintendo is losing control of the narrative with all these expectations being set from these unofficial reveals.

I do love the Wii Punch Out, but did realize during a recent playthrough that basically every character you fight is very stereotyped. They are all kind of charicatures anyway with their country of origin being the only thing known about them, so they used that to build their personalities. And while I still enjoyed and found it comical without it intending to be offensive, I think nowadays it would get huge backlash if Nintendo ever re-released it.

I was like "What is Teifes?" But after seeing the katakana it seems like an abbreviation for "Tales of" Festival. FES in Japanese is like the English "Fest", both abbreviations for festival. So there must be some 30th anniversary event happening.

This game was like a true SA3 to me in concept, it had an overworld and stages. Multiple stories and many playable characters, just all kind of undercooked due to the rush to market. Id love to see a port/remake, just change Elise and Sonic's romance to be more like friendship (kiss on the forehead instead) and maybe not having Sonic keep telling Elise to smile through her pain lol

This was my biggest concern seeing trailers for this game. This is very disappointing. Nintendo learned nothing after the frustrations of Tears of the Kingdom. Seriously, let us map these to face buttons like every previous Zelda game!!!

Like many others have said, emulation itself is legal, if you use homebrew apps to rip your own purchased cartridges. Courts have already ruled this. It's the best way to enjoy Pokemon Scarlet Violet as you can play 60 fps and 4K resolution. Nintendo's own hardware holds some of these games back but emulation lets you enjoy them with more tech powering them.

The Japanese version also has English subs for those who prefer the original voices. They have never changed in Japan while they've been recast at least 3 times in English. Better performance in my opinion. Actually conveying some emotion
