I really hope "more comfortable" doesn't mean they lowered the difficulty. I'm looking forward to the challenge and it would be unfair when reviewers praised the challenge if the final version is different.

Cool designs but yeah, weird it's called the "Pokemon Kanji Clothing Collection" when I don't see any Kanji, only Katakana. I believe the majority of these Pokemon names couldn't even be put into Kanji if they wanted. It would be a huge undertaking to create official Kanji names for them that are pronounced the same way and make sense.

As much as I love this game and how important it was for me as a teenager, this Switch version is unfortunately the worst way to play it. If you can get the original on a DS or 3DS that would even the best experience, or playing in Handheld mode on Switch. It's a shame more care wasn't taken in porting to Switch but the scope of doing so may have been closer to a remake than a port.

This happens with literally every major switch release. Why do we keep bringing attention to it? It doesn't help anyone and may encourage people to pirate since is so easy.

Hm. More so than all other Animal Crossings, this one is focused on complete player control and customization. When I feel originally it was about you moving into this existing space, and settling in, seeing the world change around you. Sometimes villagers you'd grown close to would leave without a word. Houses would pop up in different locations. I guess this feature makes sense with the new direction AC is taking, but I don't play the game much anymore. I miss interesting villager dialogue and ways they felt unique. Their home design is kind of all they have.

There have been post apocalyptic settings in Kirby before, if people remember Shiver Star from Kirby 64 (which resembled Earth), and in Planet Robobot, we learned the Haltmann Company has drained all resources from and left many planets for dead already. Excited to possibly see more background on this concept. Wonder if it actually was Haltmann who destroyed the Earth and left all those machines or if we'll get another explanation.

So they got Charles Martinet to record a Wario line for social media, but I keep hearing he is not fully voice-acted in the actual game? Is this true or just the demo? I loved how WarioWare Gold added voice acting for all these characters and hope Martinet continues to have fully voiced dialogue for Wario!

I wish there were some more control options available. Allow you to choose joystick or motion for flying/swimming, toggle if L needs to be held for the camera or to use the Sword when in button controls.

They really should have just translated her name as Phi. It would have caused so much less confusion.

How could you guys not have Shin Megami Tensei V on this list? I get that outside of Japan it's considered niche, but it's a huge foundational series, as big and influential as Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. It started the collectible monster genre among many other things. SMT V all the way! My favorite of the show followed by Metroid Dread

All I want is for them to add more dialogue to the villagers! Compared to prior games, there is so little dialogue and they begin repeating themselves so quickly. Their entertaining and quirky dialogue was one of my favorite things about the series.

The manga versions of Zelda are great and they give Link good characterization. If they adapted the manga series I think it would turn out really well.

More dialogue and conversation options. Remember when villagers would schedule a time to hang out with you? Or just have more varied and interesting dialogue before repeating themselves? The villagers themselves feel more bland and uninteresting to me in this version compared to all prior entries.

I don't think he's lying, but the voice actors for Tails and Amy have also left. I kind of doubt they would have all decided individually to leave. I think SEGA is doing what it always does and replacing the English cast again, while the Japanese cast has been almost exactly the same since these characters were first voiced. I play the games with Japanese voices whenever I have the chance anyway, but disappointing fans will have to get used to all new English voices. Again.

While Ryan Drummond has been my favorite English voice for Sonic, I highly doubt SEGA fired all of the existing cast without already having replacements.

As many have pointed out, through Surprise Trade and other means, legitimate players can end up with hacked Pokemon. I hope they continue the practice of making these mons unusable (turned into Bad Eggs) rather than banning accounts when players may not have done anything wrong.

I have not been a fan of these trailers and announcements being shadow dropped. I always loved tuning into directs and feeling the excitement and anticipation of what would be revealed. Now you just see the announcement on news sites before you can watch the trailers yourself. You miss those moments of wondering mid-trailer what it is you're watching and figuring it out.

Haha whoops. Well, Zacian is a pretty cool-sounding name. Only problem is, how are they pronouncing it? My co-worker's son named his daughter Saria, after the Ocarina of Time character. Problem is they are pronouncing it Sa-Rye-Uh, instead of Sa-Ree-Uh, which is how it would be pronounced based on the Japanese. ..I didn't have the heart to tell them they'd been saying her name wrong all these years.. XD

Any other gacha games have to legally disclose their item/character obtain rates. Niantic gets around this as you purchase the "incubators" and not the eggs themselves, but it's the same thing. Them making the purchase one layer away shouldn't allow them to continue misleading their users.

Misleading and incorrect article. The Kickstarter specifically says they are NOT targeting a release for Switch, and instead expect to release it for Nintendo's next console after the switch. They do then state they will attempt port it to Switch if there is no alternative, OR refund backers pledges who only intended for the Switch version. Nowhere are they pledging or guaranteeing to make the game for Switch so this article may cause a lot of buyer's remorse if readers take NL's word for it..

Don't forget everyone, this is not the "Harvest Moon" series you remember and they are claiming the legacy of! Natsume has taken over the Harvest Moon brand and the real developers of the series are now having to use the name "Story of Seasons". The recent "Harvest Moon" games have all been disappointing knockoffs.

I get that the balloons feel excessive, but why would we want them to stop? It's free items and recipes, I really hope they DON'T nerf them.

So what this tells me is that they, to some extent, DO support Nintendo Switch Online Cloud Saves as they perform regular backups of your save.. but then prevent you from accessing this backup except for the one time.

This is not going to deter cheaters, as they are not using the NSO backup system anyway. They should just prevent you from restoring your backup more than once a week or once a month if they worry people will use it to re-try their luck on events or save scumm. It would not be worth waiting one month to retry an event for a better outcome. Nintendo is creating more problems than they are solving with this. Also, over the course of this game's lifetime, I may have upgraded to 3 separate switch consoles. I bought many new iterations of the 3DS. They are deterring people from purchasing any upgrades of the system by not allowing you to move your save.

Interesting that this translation seems to be a mix of the Funimation dub and the Japanese original, since some characters have their English names like Georgie and Penny. Too bad they didn't keep the more adult humor, like the superhero being named Action B*stard. Though the Japanese version wasn't as crude as the dub, it was still very suggestive, like here it says you collect "Golden Balls" (kintama) which is also slang for testicles in Japanese. XD

Uh, is this the Japanese release or the Asian release? Those tend to be two separate releases. Also strange if this is the Japanese release, that Japanese isn't listed among the supported languages. People are going to buy the wrong version if this article isn't updated.
