I really hope they include both traditional button controls and motion/pointer controls. I'm sure this creates a lot of extra work, but I loved the pointer controls, though I know they need to be accompanied by button options.

I would take ANY Nintendo directs at this point. Leadership is seriously dropping the ball lately with marketing.

This was a huge oversight, especially considering how important the music and voice acting is for this game. I don't know how they released it with worse audio quality than the PSP version.

Please call the successor the "Super Nintendo Switch"! Easy to understand as a successor console, nostalgic for those who remember the SNES and very on-brand for Nintendo. Keep the name simple and learn from the mistakes of the Wii U!

Aw man, I hope they understand everyone will giggle at this title in English. I tried to leave a Japanese comment on the video so they understand that most English speakers will read this title as "butt world" and not take it seriously.

@bonjong23 Not true at all. The whole reason this game is controversial is because its a paid game AND there are season passes + microtransactions to get all the courses and characters. And even once you pay to get the Season Pass, you have to grind hundreds of online races to unlock the characters within a limited time frame. Its FOMO tactics at its worst and it sucks.

I hope with Mythril sales ending, there are easier ways to get the previously exclusive characters.

This game was kind of fun but their season pass practices were super predatory. Even once you paid, you had to grind hundreds of races to unlock the time-exclusive character like Cloud or Squall. It felt more like work than any fun, lots of anxiety and fomo. Sorry but this game isn't THAT fun to waste so much of my life. And I usually love the chocobo series.

Edit: People say this has been fixed with updates. I haven't played in a while but even after they made it less grindy, it was still WAY more time than I wanted to waste. Nothing fundamentally changed. I felt obligated to grind these characters before they were unavailable, so I wasn't having fun with the game, just frustrated at losing online matches due to bad connectivity. If things have significantly changed since then, please let me know.

Interesting, seems like a more family friendly version of Bayonetta Nintendo can sell to a larger audience. Its strange to see Bayonetta without its shock and campiness but I'm invested enough in the series to check this out.

I have to assume this was removed due to Coronavirus, and how in-game this is actually a beneficial virus that you want to spread as much as you can if you are lucky to catch a Pokemon with it. They probably want to be sensitive to the idea of encouraging spreading of a virus now.

Probably another Pokemon Go exclusive Pokemon like Meltan. I would have cared back when they could be transferred to every game, but this one will probably only be in Scarlet and Violet and not seen again in an entry for years.

This games art direction is amazing, but it looks like there won't be any relationship/romance options which feel like such a staple of the genre, it feels like something is missing.

So glad there's a Japanese version available too, and Nobutoshi Canna is still voicing Knuckles, since his first voiced appearance! I noticed an all new English voice, sounds okay but I prefer the quality and consistency of the original Japanese dub. So glad Sonic has been a dual-audio series for nearly all games in the series.

I LOVE the Zero Escape series. So underrated. Please bring them to switch with options for touch controls / pointer controls! Originally on DS/3DS, PS4 version's joystick controls were slow and awkward for a point and click game

I used to care to catch ALL the legendaries and version exclusives in every game, but knowing they'll be trapped in Sword and Shield only and not transferable to future games, what's the point?? The lack of National Dex has legit killed my interest in trying to catch them all. There's no payoff anymore.

Awesome. The Bomberman N64 games would be great too! Bomberman Hero, Bomberman 64 and Bomberman 64: The Second Attack that had co op!

Jun Senoue is a legend and is amazing, but Tomoya Ohtani has been the lead composer of many of the more recent Sonic games and is also one of the greats. I personally love both of their work and have only become even more of an Ohtani fan over time. Even when I dislike recent Sonic games, I still end up loving the soundtracks.

For people talking about the lack of music in the overworld like BOTW, that is probably the case, but remember there are many "Cyberspace" levels which play like traditional Sonic levels and would have that fast-paced Sonic music we all love.

As much as I am disheartened by the offensive offer they gave Hellena Taylor, I don't feel punishing the developers, artists and everyone else who contributed to this game is fair. If Hellena opens a GoFundMe, I would happily contribute to show her the fans deeply value her contributions. She is right that to many of us, her voice and performance is what created the character. I also disagree with her insulting Jennifer Hale, who did nothing wrong by accepting a job that was offered to her. As Hellena said, it's the "fat cats" who are to blame and Jennifer Hale is not one of them. This anger is misdirected. Also, it's my understanding that Publishers actually pay the voice talent, so this may be Nintendo and Sega's fault, and it's disappointing that an amazing studio like PlatinumGames may be inappropriately taking the fall. I do think Kamiya should be less of a jerk in general though. I don't agree with his tactics.

I enjoyed the prequel comic to Sonic Forces, but it was kind of necessary since Forces' story was so lacking. This has me a little concerned, Frontiers gameplay looks awesome but we haven't really seen any cutscenes that are more than a few seconds. I hope there is an actual story within the game.

I don't see why they can't release a version of Pokemon Stadium with a GB cart inserted, like Yellow. When you're sick of rental Pokemon, you could play through the entire game through GB Tower and use the Pokemon you earned in the battle and mini-game modes. Still hopeful they'll add GB to NSO and patch in compatibility but not expecting them to bother.

With all these Rare games appearing, lets hope we see Diddy Kong Racing and Donkey Kong 64! And of course GB Pokemon Games to connect with Stadium!

It sounds like this game was trying to capitalize on the Wii waggle craze when the art and concept had so much more potential.

Wasn't part of the problem that employees didn't feel safe contacting HR? Or they were told to "be less outspoken" which basically means endure the harassment. This doesn't acknowledge the structural problems that allowed this to happen.

I am glad to see more MK8 content and that courses from Tour which I wouldn't play otherwise are made available, however it's disappointing that the anti-gravity feature which is the main feature of MK8 is not supported on most of these tracks.

This game has always been advertised as a visual-novel style game. Anyone who was paying attention would know what to expect. It's a lot like Devil Survivor in that way. The title music is also very melancholy and slow-paced, indicating the game's tone.

Still many to add, Pokemon Stadium 1 + 2, Mystical Ninja starring Goemon, Bomberman 64 and Hero would be awesome!

The first day the XC3 special edition was supposedly available to pre-order I spend the entire day on the website, waiting in their bogus "queue" that never lead anywhere and refreshing the page across all my devices to try and get in. I wasted the entire day with nothing to show for it. This time, they announced the pre-orders with no fanfare and work got insanely busy for me. I could not afford to camp on their website all day because I have a job. Nintendo of America handled this exceptionally poorly and honestly are the least competent branch of all the Nintendo branches. Xenoblade is my favorite series and I am having to resort to scalpers now because I am not going to miss out on this due to Nintendo of America's incompetence. People want to blame those who turn to scalpers for causing the problem, but the real problem is NOA's mishandling of the situation. Restrict purchases behind Nintendo accounts that have existed for years. This prevents scalpers from creating bogus accounts to purchase multiple copies. There are solutions NOA could have used and they did nothing. And their most loyal fans who have been with them forever are the ones being screwed.

No CRT filter? This ended up being one of my favorite features from Sonic Mania, and it really helps with the presentation. Really hope this can be added in a future update!!

Sure they make it look like the problem is fixed but you're still forced to grind an ungodly amount of hours to unlock Cloud. Get to season pass level 60?? It should be like level 10. Grinding is not fast in this game. It's all a total scam. The vast majority of players won't get Cloud. This isn't a competitive free to play mobile game where rare units are OP and limited. Let us have the dang characters we bought the game for.

There are many situations and themes in this game that would be considered "too mature" for Nintendo's target audience in Mother 3. Character deaths, gay/trans stereotypes (even though I didn't find them offensive as a queer person myself) mushroom trips, animal abuse, the list goes on. But presented in meaningful ways that make you think and challenge your assumptions. It's too bad Nintendo doesn't feel like the west could handle this story.

Really wish you could play the unlocked/DLC music in place of the background music during stages, like in Sonic Generations! I love the original music but Ive played these games to death, being able to mix it up would be fun!!

As much as I am excited for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I still hope we get Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD on Switch for a Zelda to tide us over this year!!

Very interesting. Yet another reason why Japanese and Western fans have such difference perspectives and expectations for the character of Samus. Western fans always want her to be more tough and badass, which is more in line with how we've seen "Bounty Hunter" characters. No wonder people didn't like her more "motherly" depiction in things like Other M.

That's funny. Probably another instance of a foreign name sounding more cool or exotic to Japanese-speakers. Like how in FF VI, the main character Terra was called Tina in Japan. Tina wasn't unique enough for us so it was changed to Terra.

Please add CRT filters like you have on the NES and SNES games, Nintendo! This console was also out at a time when everyone was using CRT TVs. Please give us the option! It's how I play my emulated games and you need to keep up if you want people to be paying.

To get back on topic.. Jim always does great performances and I am looking forward to him being more Eggman-like in movie 2.. In movie 1, they hadn't really had him take on the appearance of the character until the post-credits. Hopefully he can continue the development of his character into movie 3.

Not sure why we need more human characters. I miss new animal characters being introduced every so often.

I love the way Nintendo implemented this! I'd rather have these 'groups' so I can create lists based on what I'm looking for without the games being unavailable from my other lists. I have groups for things like Multiplayer and for Platformers and some of the games belong to both. In the scramble of hosting a get-together, I just just open my Multiplayer group and see who wants to play what without having to look at my dozens of games one at a time and remember if they have multiplayer.

Wow, this man sounds incredibly controlling and insecure. She is not allowed to have male friends or even fictional male friends or boyfriends. This is more of a problem with him than with her!! Marry someone you trust instead of trying to control them! It's insane how normalized this is in parts of the world.

In addition to the existing complaints, there are character costumes (like cute white mage / black mage outfits for Chocobo + others) that ALSO cost the premium currency AND expire in 10 days. Even getting alternate skins for existing characters costs extra money and they create scarcity by making them expire very soon. Very very scummy. This content should be unlockable in-game. Very disappointed in square enix and how they were NOT upfront about you not having access to all content in the game. They are treating this like a mobile free to play game but it ALSO costs $50. ugh

Darn, was hoping Digimon Con would finally provide new game information, but it is sounding like not much was shown.. but games are in development. Let's hope we can see them soon!

I loved how much personality every character had in the previous Mario Strikers, especially for Wii. But I worry Nintendo has gone the route of keeping all depictions of their characters clean & consistent to the point where different studios' creativity can't shine through. We've seen this with Paper Mario. I'm glad they managed to replicate the art style in-game but also hope the characters' depictions and animations are just as fun and over the top like we'd expect from Mario Strikers. Seeing a more extreme side to these character's personalities was fun and made me laugh out loud

Great list and great suggestions, however if you don't read Japanese many of these games will not be too enjoyable. This unfortunately causes us to rely on unofficial translation patches until Nintendo and the original developers provide an official translation we can purchase.

If I remember, Sun and Moon has a bug where you don't learn moves upon evolution, and there are some only learned this way.

I don't mind recycled tracks from Tour if they're well-designed and work for MK8, since I'm not playing Tour anyway.

Surprising comments considering the last time Platinum tried to work with Microsoft on what looked to be an amazing concept, ScaleBound, the project dissolved over creative differences.. which I usually take to mean Microsoft was demanding too much creative control and Kamiya wasn't having it.

This is BREATHTAKING!! The style perfectly translates and this looks good enough to be official. Wow. I really hope Nintendo takes notice, even if this is only a rendered video and not actual gameplay. This is the perfect way to translate Mother to modern graphics.
