@Sirko A final fantasy style RPG set in the zelda universe with Square at the helm would be cool. I don’t trust Nintendo to make big RPG’s. Xenoblade is the only game they’ve made and wuestion is if it counts since it’s Monolith soft who makes those games. Speaking of which. Xenoblade 4 should soon be announced Or maybe soemthing new from Monolith soft?

Not surprising. Metroid prime has never been a big selling franchise. Being number 4 in the franchise won’t help it’s cause I think. Can it manage 1.5 million during it’s lifetime. It would be a good number.

I will buy the ***** out of that game if it comes to switch 2.

I’m maybe 10 hours in. Had a break during the holidays and just got back into the game.
However. I just had to remind myself of what the story actually was. And basically found out that there is almost no story. There is no big threat, no reason for everything happening and that feels pretty sad. I like playing the game but I wish it had a better story. I wish there were som Metroids. I also wished there would be something new except the bike. Which is new, but very pointless.

How will they make money if they don’t have any stores? Is it going to become online only?

@PikminMarioKirby I don’t mind the game key cards. But I do mind the higher prices. For a company as rich as Nintendo is. It sure is very greedy to increase prices. I hope they will somehow feel consequences that lead them to lower prices.

@JaxonH i need more time to work to make money to buy games and then more time to play the games. But it sounds exhausting to have 48 hour days

I’ve only played 1-2 hours yet. Just left Myles. I actually enjoyed having him around. But yeah, the game is a bit lame in the writing and directing department. Nintendo isn’t Naughty dog or Guerilla games for sure. The overall production values are a bit lower than many games that have come in the last 10 years. But I enjoy the game for what it is. Samus bad assyness, all the cool lore, new creatures, beautiful surroundings and music and hopefully later on some fun exploration. I would never have wanted to miss this game even if some reviewer says they don’t mike some aspects of it. I just wanna see for myself whats on offer.

This is awesome. Most commercials nowadays let the videos do the talking. And there is almost never any fun commercials anymore. So this is refreshing. I just wanna watch it over and over 😅

Come to think of it. I’ve hade problems with my official dock. The picture just goes black for a couple of seconds. It can be quite irritating in both Mario Kart and Silksong.

I have a third party dock but I rarely use it so I have no idea if it works now or not.

Am I stupid for not understanding why game key card is bad? Cn it has game yes can. Can I play game with said card yes. Problem right now? No. Problem in future? Yes maybe. Will I be dead or care by then? Yes and no.

I played Arceus. It was an ok game but I don’t really feel like ever playing a pokemon game again after it.

HYPERyuki looked pretty good. They should’ve worked more on the animations of the characters though. I feel it’s not fluid enogh. 1080 hade way beeter animations and that makes a big difference in the feel of tricks. This looks too hyper. Maybe that’s the point though

Tossdown looked the best to me overall though.

This looks and sounds so cheap. Can’t se this games selling point anywhere nowadays. Time has really left Harvest moon in the dust. So many more interesting games has sprung up in this genre. And like many others has said. We’ve done this before oh so many times…

Can’t get over how bad the sound design in this games seems. That horse race 😅 I make better sound effects than that by slapping my knees 😅

Looked really good. Gave some resi and dead space vibes.

It should be more like pokemon of old. With people to talk to, random encounters and like someone said - races to be started by going to a stadium for example. To have a narrative would’ve been cool too. Something as in Need for speed underground or whatever. Something cheesy but at least something that gives a direction.

I wish they’d put in more cool gameboy and nes music. These new music tracks usually ain’t something I want to listen to outside of the games as they are mostly atmospheric and not very melodic.

For me this becomes just classical music. And that’s usually not something I want to listen to.

But hey, good for people who want to experience certain tracks if they like to.

I wanted to buy this physically. But. It seems very hard to come by. Noone sells it in Sweden at least. Is it the same everywhere else too?

The price here in Sweden will totally kill the market for casual gamers. The price here is equivalent of 660 dollars. I don’t see any of my friends who aren’t hardcore Nintendo players paying that. Whereas several have Switches right now.

@Varkster Ok, sorry. I was wrong about the prices in the US. I’m from Sweden so our prices are a bit higher than yours. Our prices for switch games was 650 kr. World is priced at 929 kr, equivalent to 92 $. Which is a price hike of 30 %. Also the Switch 2 base pack is priced at 6795 kr with mario kart it’s priced at 7490 kr which is the equivalent of 680 and 749 $. The original Switch base pack costs 3690 kr and a ps5 digital costs 5500 kr just for reference. And I know vote with your wallet, yada yada. But we must be able to discuss what we feel about the price. But of course they know best their own cost and investments and gets to decide what they think is best. Doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it. I’ve owned every Nintendo system (except Virtual boy) since the NES and definately plan on getting the Switch 2. But maybe somewhere down the line if the price gets reduced a bit.

I made a quick analysis of how much nintendo had made from Mario kart 8 based on the reported sales. Assuming a price of 60 dollars. They’ve made approximately 4 billion dollars from 67 million sold games. That’s a hella lot of money. I think they are making a crazy bet by trying to sell the new game at 90 dollars. For a product that is digital we don’t have any physical costs for the product. That means that basically every dollar it sells for is profit. Selling at a lower price would garantee much more sales and wouldn’t risk the blowback they’ve gotten from gamers. The high prices of games will lead to less sales both of systems and games themselves.

I can’t see that they can jusify the higher prices by saying that mario kart world cost more to make. Seeing as the first has made maybe 4 billion dollars in sales. What can a mario kart cost to produce? 100 million dollars? I have no idea. I just think it’s both greedy and maybe stupid to increase the price of the games this much.

Sure looks like a Platinum game. Not sure it looks like a Ninja Gaiden game though. I really liked the first 3D entry back on xbox. That really felt like i Ninja game. This is surely fun and all. But it might as well have been a new IP.

It basically had no story. It only presented the characters basically.

I was at McDonalds in Sweden for the first time in like 10 years and actually bought a happy meal for my kids. This was before Christmas. It was supposed to contain a Sonic toy. But they where out of stock. So we got a really ***** book about Dispicable me 4 instead… They have ended up in the trash 😅

The animations for the playable character are among the worst I’ve ever seen. What is going on with her movement?

Still have my copy. It’s probably my rarest game that I still have. I’ve many times thought of selling it. But I will keep it a while more if I’m not totally starving some day…

Graphics don’t matter. I loved how the first game looked back then and am still imprrssed by it. Graphics look better here. But the design looks a bit worse. However, I haven’t been this hyped for a game in many years! I want every detail I can get. The run up to this game will be so fun

I think the design and animation isn’t as good as it was all those years back. I hope this is something that is bound to change. Or maybe there are just crappier devs at Retro now than the ones that worked on the original.

Can they please give some money to Retro Studios so we can get Metroid prime 4 before we all die of old age?

This was the horror. Complete snore fest. I love Pikmin usually but not even that excited me. Maybe my heart is dead. I’ll just stick to Zelda for the rest of the year. Maybe I’ll get Wonder.

Ok, I have to say more. So I also say, who chose that music for the Prince of Persia game. Horrible!

I feel sorry for people who bought the Gollum game. They must be very die hard LOTR-fans or titally clueless about how to spot a good game in advance. I think mostnpeople could see that that game was going to be pretty crappy. Maybe not this crappy though…

No but it actually looks really fun. I loved the fast paced action of Doom on switch. This is right up that vein.

The design looks good but the animation looks a bit undercooked. It just doesn't flow well enough for my taste.

Switch has really become a best of everything console. So many remasters and remakes and HD collections. It quite insane tbh.

I’m not going for metroid prime this time. I just played it on GC for the 10th time last summer. And don’t think the update looked that great that it warrants a new purchase.

Baten kaitos didn’t look too spectacular either but that was at least 15 years ago that I played that so I will probably get that
