Re: Ubisoft Share Price Tumbles After Dire Sales Report

Ladasta

Everyone has learned that Ubi always has heavy discounts on almost new games that one can just wait a couple of weeks until the games are half price. Nintendo is the best at keeping their games valuable by not discounting to early or too much. Not always good for consumers but it definately helps them keep their games premium.

Re: GoldenEye 007 Is Returning To Nintendo Switch

Ladasta

It will be fun try without the very dated N64-controls. I played the original a month ago for the first time in like 15 years. It was REALLY hard and hard to control.

But I’m looking forward to trying this both off- and online.

Re: Embracer Group Acquires Limited Run Games, Lord Of The Rings IP & More

Ladasta

They have a policy of letting the companys they buy stay as independent as possible. But I don’t think they are doing very well at using their franchises. They mostly rerelease old games but don’t use them for much new content.
I used to be a shareholder. But I sold many years ago before they started calling themselves Embracer.

Re: Talking Point: How Were You Introduced To Metroid?

Ladasta

I actually don’t know if I played the first metroid first or if it was the second. Neither really hooked med. I actually despise the game boy game since I thought it was soooo hard when I was a kid. Super Metroid was my true entry into the series. I mostly watched my brothers playing though. Later in my teens I finally played it and finished it. Then along came Prime and I was totally blown away. Metroid prime is my number one game of all time. The wait for number four is quite sad. Not unbesrable since we’ve seen nothing from it. Just sad because nothing seems to show. I wish we get it at least next year. Please Retro, make something great!!

Re: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Is Apparently Japan's "Biggest" Kirby Launch Ever

Ladasta

I wondr how the turnaround on investment is panning out. 2D games are so much cheaper to make. So to be able to make as much money on this game they have to sell much more. I think that’s probably more interesting for the company, more than just number of sales. No doubt it’s already a million seller worldwide. But a comparison with the investment costs and winnings with the others would’ve been interesting to see.

Re: Gallery: Here's A Look At The New Open World In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Ladasta

They need to work on their tree models. Other than that it looks good. Don’t know if I want a new pokemon game so soon after Arceus though. Haven’t finished it yet. But starting to feel a bit bored now. Still have had lots of fun up to like a few hours ago. The game is pretty easy and it never feels very threatening when you battle big pokemon because you have very little to lose if your pokemon all faint. Wish the stakes were higher. Maybe they come up with something for the next game.

Re: Nintendo Share Value Continues Positive Momentum After Strong Financial Results

Ladasta

@SuperZeldaFun Yeah, I know. For being so good at making money they are surprisingly bad at it sometimes. And sometimes it is definately down to not listening to what the audiences want. It’s definately a big missed opportunity if they don’t release a switch pro. And an even bigger missed opportunity if they don’t release a Mario Kart 9 for Switch. Imagine how many millions of games that would sell and more switches on top of that. An announcement of Mario kart would definately be welcomed by the stock market and make the share go BOOM!

Re: Online Multiplayer And DLC Are Coming To Cruis'n Blast

Ladasta

Just gotta ask. Do you think the multiplayer is good in this game? I felt like it didn’t really matter how we drove. We always ended up next to eachother when competing two people. And the best way to win was to use boost in the final straight. I felt like the incredible rubberbanding really destroyed the multiplayer for me. And haven’t reallt touched the game since the first week. Does anyone else feel the same. Or have they updated the game somehow to fix this?

Re: Mini Review: Dr. Mario 64 - Diagnosis: A Bit Rubbish

Ladasta

I think you were just bad at the game. Not the games fault. If you’re used to puyo puyo like I was before playing this also. It took some time to get used to the premise. I also thaught it was crazy hard. It’s just too fast. I at least cleared the game on normal in story mode. Hard is waaay to though. I agree on that. The computer is too good for me. I die in a couple of seconds usually.

Re: Metroid Dread's UK Sales Momentum Points To A Big Moment For The Series

Ladasta

@Dragonslacker1 Too bad. I also found it hard to find my way in the beginning. It was always some little block that I had missed to blow up to get through.

I like the EMMI. They bring something new to the series. Thanks to the quick saves it never gets too frustrating to die over and over.

I’m not done with the game yet. I think I’m gonna go play an hour more now.

Re: Feature: Best WarioWare Microgames Ever

Ladasta

I like the one with the giant woman with the runny nose from the gamecube game. Her snot falls to the ground while you rund around and try to avoid it. When it misses it destroys the ground so you have less and less chance of avoiding it after a while. Get very hectoc with four players.

Re: Nintendo's Stock Price Sees Biggest Fall In Two Years Following Earnings Report

Ladasta

@steely_pete Well if they own their own stock and want to sell some of it to get cash it’s bad because they will get less cash. Some companys pay their employees in stock and again they will need to use more stock to pay them.

Other than that. I don’t get it either. It’s not like they need to do an emission right now to get cash. So the investors are not that important right now. In more meager times a good relationship with investors is sometimes key to survival.
