Just started playing prime again for like the fifth time or whatever. Had given up hope for the trilogy on switch. And still have no hopes. So I think I will play it to the end again

Not getting it. Did not like it on wii. Too repetitive and crappy controls.

Actually fired up my wii again after 10 years. And bought a couple of old gems. Got both mario strikers and boom blox smash party. Really looking forward to playing them againnafter all this time.

I don’t think they are going after the same markets. Nintendo will always have their own games to fall back on and that will always give them their own edge. Also I’m not totally sure who they are marketing this for? PC gamers tend to be more focused on getting the best performance. Can they really get what they want from this device. Or are they trying to go after a different audience? I’m not sure Steam is as household as Nintendo is to be able to penetrate the market and steal shares from Nintendo.

This is actually really smart from Nintendos side. Now they won’t have to lower the price ever on the standard model because it will always be cheaper but kinda the same as the more expensive one. As components gets cheaper they will keep getting more profit from the sales of all machines as long as the price stays the same.

I hate that many companies have stopped making original content and are just making remesters of old games. I’m sad about the state of the video game business right now. Sega is not the only culprit of course. Nintendo is definately also a big culprit. With their mountains of cash they should invest like Microsoft has to be able to ramp up their game making capabilities. It takes more time to make games. But the return on investment is definately going to be worth it. Take for example Mario Kart. We haven’t got a new game in 7 years. It’s mind boggling. Were they to release a new game it would probably sell more than every other game on the switch. Instead the team responsible is probably doing something else. That’s fine but. They should really invest in more teams to be able to keep up the pace. In the HD era Nintendo is stuck in 50cc to speak Mario Kart terms. Not to talk about Retro studios who have only managed to make two games and help with mario kart 8 in the last 14 years. 14 years!! And what they made was two 2D Donkey kong games. It’s incredible that they are still alive. They live on their good name and also somewhat in promises of good quality to come.

They should revisit gamecube instead. Metroid prime, luigis mansion and f-Zero. Give it to us!

I thought Super mario kart was super hard when I was little. I still remember the first time I came in fourth of a cup when my character stood beside the podium moping.

I think the game is even harder today because I’m not used to the handling anylonger. Maybe should give it some more time to get good again. Mario kart 8 is too easy.

I had no idea. Even though now I think about it Zangief could be incredibly hard sometimes. The AI could do a spinning pile driver out of nowhere sometimes. Me I don’t think I’ve ever managed to do one 😅

@Ulanda well I guess they have quite good programmers or can hire one or two with their billions of dollars. I don’t think time or resources is the problem. It’s the will. They don’t want to do it, that’s why it ain’t happening.

I’ve never met any of these. Billy is my best animal friend. I have not played for a long while now though. Got it at launch.

I don’t think I will buy anything other than mp4 and zelda and maybe snap.
So things ain’t looking that positive imo. I hope E3 will be better than last year at least.

Last year was not a good Nintendo-year. This year seems even worse. If Mario Golf doesn’t somehow get a perfect 100/100 score...

@Zuljaras Nintendo hasn’t had any real failures this generation. Arms was new and it has sold millions. 1-2 Switch was new. It has sold millions. Splatoon was new for the wii u. That has bern a raging success and are outselling most other franchises nintendo has. Ring fit adventures is new snd that is also a big successs. So I mean. Nintendo slmost can’t fail. They have firstly too much quality. Secondly a giant fanbase willing to try most things nintendo branded. With all the money they have it’s surprising that they don’t invest more in building new teams or buying new teams to help them make more games. 3-4 new games a year isn’t very much for a big company like Nintendo I would argue. The more games they would make, the more games they would sell. But I guess it’s increasingly hard to keep it together if they become too big. Miyamoto can only supervise so much

Definately a poor mans version of F-Zero. Looks and steering look bad. I wish F-Zero would make a return. That would be my most wanted game if it would happen.

I’m surprised Splatoon 2 has sold more than Mario Kart 8 deluxe. I see them changing place this year.

Ehm isn’t the news the business you work in? This makes no sense. I had not much for yoshis crafted world. It still was a bad experience compared to wooly world. It had nothing to do about hype. I had almost read or watched anything on crafted world.
Bayonetta is just rediculous. It’s not hype I’m after. It’s anything. It’s something that shows that the game is coming soon. If they didn’t want to talk about it. They shouldn’t have snnounced it 4 years ago. It’s stupid and cruel to announce a game so early and show nothing and say nothing.

@gutrippabear I’m 35 and I love both R&RR and Lost Vikings. But have never heard of Blackthorne though.

So many good games discounted. Will probably buy Blacksad and maybe a couple of others. Civ VI would be fun but I will probably never have time to play it

I watched a lot of streams from bb2 when that came out. I think it gave a very good feeling about how the game was back in the day. But of course it can never replace the times when the whole gang gathered and played tournaments on the floor of the boys room at home. Ah, the good old childhood

I love Blood bowl. Played it a ton as a board game 20 years ago. I guess this will be very similar to blood bowl 2. So if you want gameplay. Just look that up.

@BloodyMurder I’m surprised but glad it didn’t sell well. After playing the crash trilogy myself I never wanna play a crash game again. It was horrible. I’m glad others may have realised the same thing.

I prefer it the normal way. It’s definately a work of art. I love the gamecube most of all Nintendo consoles. It was the last good third party console from nintendo. It had almost all big games from different big publishers.

I loved these games. Played Charged so much back in uni. Me and my friends played hours on end while listening to System of a down.

Ah, who cares? I like that it becomes more prominent. The color isn’t a problem. I don’t stare att my switch menus all day.

This is an abysmal line up. Mainly because there are too few games and the ones on there are mostly TBA. One has to wonder what Nintendo are doing? Doesn’t seem like they are making many games at least.

Imagine mario kart 9! Please just make it Nintendo. For us Wii U buyers who want a new game.

Haven’t bought it. Probably won’t already played all the games many times before.
It’s nice that sunshine will get new fans. The original sold 5.5 million according to wikipedia. So this game has probably already surpassed that number by some margin.

How much do they usually sell? 1 million? If so, that would mean 20000 copies would be for switch. 20000 x 50 pounds would be a million pounds in total sales. Surely that would cover the development costs for the switch version.

Another swedish thing in it is the word ”SNUSK” written on one of the walls. Meaning filth or dirty.
Really like this art style and the gameplay looks classic. Don’t think it will bring to much new to the table. But I think for the price it will be worth it. And I must support my fellow swede Bertil!

I played the board game as a kid. It’s so much fun. And infuriating. When you spend many games making your players better just for them to suddenly die is the worst. Me and my friends spent so many hours with it. Hope this game will have cross play. Then I may be able to play with my brothers And probably be slayed...

This is not the worst idea port I’ve seen. Loved the original. It’s never been on a nintendo console before so gives the game a chance on a new crowd. That’s what they always say though

I don’t care about the cost. It’s basically nothing. I make that money in less than two hours of work. I’ve had plenty of fun playing my games online for that price. Mainly Rocket league but also tetris and animal crossing.
But yeah betrer online functionalities in the games would be nice. Especially Animal crossing. But that’s not this services fault. That’s game design. That’s nintendos fault for being bad at making online games. Other online games are making good use of the switches online capabilities. It’s up to nintendo to step up their game. But I don’t think that will happen this generation. They need new people in key positions to understand how to do better to be better.
