UK Charts: Guess What, Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Number One Again

More love for Metroid Prime Remastered is very nice to see. That game is also incredibly good.

If Street Fighter 6 doesn't get 1st in the next charts, I think TotK will probably stay on top until FFXVI releases.

Dead Island 2 is incredibly short and easy, most of the gameplay comes from completing sub quest and challenges. It wasn't what i expected, it deserves that No.10 spot.

Metroid Prime Remaster continues selling strong! Hopefully, we'll get the other 2 remasters soon.

I personally more curious to see 30 In 1 Game Collection Vol. 1 on Top 40.

Three weeks in a row at #1, you love to see it. Also nice to see plenty of Nintendo evergreen titles throughout the top 40.

I don't see many people talk about Switch Sports these days, is it really that good?

I got into Go Vacation a while back but besides enjoying the free roaming aspects, the activities themselves seemed a bit shallow.

@Astral-Grain it is extremely simple but it is meant to be. It is a game that the entire family can easily play and have some fun with.

I feel sorry for people who bought the Gollum game. They must be very die hard LOTR-fans or titally clueless about how to spot a good game in advance. I think mostnpeople could see that that game was going to be pretty crappy. Maybe not this crappy though…

It is good to see that Metroid Prime Remastered climbed so many spots. I would be happy if they also remastered 2 and 3.

When the Switch successor will be revealed in the next years, I will start to simply play through the games without trying to 100% them.

Nintendo has a massive hit on their hands with TotK.

I think FIFI, Mario Kart, and TOTK being at least 3 of the top five any week without a major releases can be expected for the next 6 months or so.

Such a remarkable game. Very happy to see Tears of the Kingdom still sitting at the top of the UK charts. It’s totally deserving of retail success which parallels all the amazing critical reception the game has deservedly received.

Not saying this about Nintendo games but so many 6/10 mediocre titles on this list sadden me greatly

@Grumblevolcano I think hype/enthusiasm for FFXVI is gonna die off quickly after its release, tbh. While a contender for GotY, its undoubtedly gonna get beaten out by TotK imo and the same is true for both sales and sustained popularity.

It will surge for a time after release, but then it will simmer and TotK will rise above it once more.

Well deserved, this is i.m.o the best zelda ever created. The story is just amazing, love the smart enemies. And man you can built litt everything you set your mind to.

@WichtPeendragoon020 When you have devs wondering how on Earth TotK lets you do so much without breaking (I mean Skyrim used to crash out just from looking at someone funny) and in awe it only took 6 years to make. I think it has GotY stiched on.

With the success of the Super Mario Bros movie and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe still charting so high they should really strike while the iron is hot and release a New Super Mario Bros Switch game before they move onto the next console because a lot of fans want a new Mario game now.

As much as I like Switch the lack of new Donkey Kong and 2D Super Mario Bros games make it one of the most disappointing Nintendo Consoles to me.

@Anti-Matter Numbers don't matter for me either, the industry is growing in value at an enourmous rate, you can't compare sales from a 2010 game to a nowadays game.

I don't say that underated gems are mediocre, I meant titles like Hogwarts Legacy, COD, etc.

But the problem is - if bad games sale well, the industry will go down that path. I think we can all see that our hobby has become a joke - copies of plagiatories of clones of copies.

Nowadays there are so many garbage cans piled on us, and so few good games, it's really hard to keep loving this once-art-form-hobby

I never understand why UK splits Pokemon games from the charts.

@Anti-Matter I'm guessing people want games where you don't have to think. Garbage plot (Hogwarts, GoW, TLOU, Days Gone), 1 button to win gameplay, toddler level puzzles and difficulty.

Anything more ambitious is crabbed on by the thoughtless critics, like Scorn - a game that was literally brought down because it required to use 2 braincells, not 1.

Luckily we can play 2000 to 2010 games, that is the highlight of the whole industry.

Surprised me too but I expect Gollum to be outside the top 40 next week as everyone who wanted it bought it at launch.

@Ryu_Niiyama Well it is LOTR, like Harry Potter it's a British institution so it'd be expected to be exceptionally popular here compared to the rest of the world.

I think the fact it wasn't atleast #3 is dire, given it has 0% chance of positive word of mouth.
