Re: Ubisoft's Disastrous 2024 May Lead To The Company Going Private

I love all Ubisoft games I've played since childhood. The Far Cry series, Red Steel 1 & 2, Rayman 2 & 3, Hype - the Time Quest, and so many others.

I see a lot of hate towards Ubisoft these days but they've given me so many amazing games I can't see them as anything except legends.

Re: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom's Frame Rate Is "Even Worse" Than Link's Awakening

Since around 2018 people have been complaining about the Switch specs and hoping for a Pro, or successor model. I want to grab and shake you people into realising that we're living in a golden era of Nintendo and you should enjoy the now. Besides, in a couple of years when you're playing the next console, you'll once again complain about how it doesn't run as well as the other systems and about how you need Switch 3. You are lost causes who don't understand what the experience of playing Nintendo is really about.

Re: Feature: Child's Play: From Bokunatsu To Natsu-Mon - The Kaz Ayabe Interview

Very interesting read! Natsu-Mon has become my game of the year and even Zelda might have a tough time dethroning it. I have it on Switch and while I'm doubtful they will improve the framerate, every other aspect of the game is perfection.

I love the art style and characters, the open world is something I've always dreamed of exploring, the 30+ hour story (if you slow the rate of time) was really immersive and I loved the way there were countless side quests to complete and even more with the DLC. The icing on the cake is that they released it in August 2024, which marked 10 years since I visited Japan. It was a very nostalgic month for me :')

It's also really good to hear they could port Attack of the Friday Monsters. That was my favourite downloadable title on 3DS and it would be great if we could see it in HD.

Re: Random: Someone 3D Printed The Rumoured 'Switch 2' Design

I don't believe this is the next console for one reason. A huge element of why the Wii U failed was because it looked so similar to the Wii, which itself had already fizzled out in popularity by 2012.

I don't believe they will do the same with the next console. They will want to make sure people know it's something completely new based on its design and features so that they can enjoy another eight years of success.

Re: Pokémon Emerald ROM Hack Contains Redrawn Sprites From 130 Artists

@Classic603 Try a new rom hack called Pokemon Emerald Seaglass. It's Emerald, but with Gameboy Color-like sprite work (different looking to the actual GBC Pokemon games though), fully drawn backgrounds during battle, Pokémon can follow your trainer and more.

As a huge fan of gen 3, it's been a wonderful hack so far.

Re: Nintendo Of Europe Announces Leadership Changes As President Resigns

@Roibeard64 I felt they were really great during the Wii/DS/3DS era where they gave better translations/English dubs for games than NoA (e.g. Zelda Spirit Tracks, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Project Zero 2: Wii Edition). We also got loads of earlier game releases, or ones that were never localised in America like Another Code R.

Re: Gamescom's Best Nintendo Game Award Scrapped Because Of "Too Few" Games

LXP8

I don't know exactly how many games have been developed by Nintendo themselves this year, but I've been just as busy playing Switch exclusive games released each month as I was in 2023.

Another Code, Endless Ocean, Nintendo World Championships, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, Mario Vs Donkey Kong and I haven't even got round to Paper Mario yet. And with the upcoming Pikmin 4 DLC "Miyamoto's Garden" releasing in November it's been a great year for Switch!

Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Has Been Delayed Again

LXP8

I remember seeing someone on Gamefaqs saying the original Fantasy Life took them 2000 hours to 100% complete, so the delays for this one are understandable.

Honestly, October is packed anyway, as we'll all be busy with Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, then later that month there's The Plucky Squire, Mario Party Jamboree, Shin Chan: Shiro of Coal Town and Sonic X Shadow: Generations.
