I saw the YouTube upload of the stream and even though I'm a huge Retro studios fan, I could barely bring myself to watch 10 minutes.

Even taking into account the unfinished state of the game, it looked like a bland knock off of Kameo and it was hard to determine the target demographic. It was kinda cool that the menu screens had an art style somewhat similar to the ones from their Donkey Kong Country games though.

These easter eggs will probably be like Breath of the Wild's place names and costumes which referenced pretty much the entire Zelda series.

It's sad that even if Nintendo goes back to doing physical properly in future, the Switch 2 gen will always be there as the one they screwed up

Why is the North American boxart always shown over a European one when they share a vote?

I got all four from My Nintendo Store UK and the whole process was very smooth for me.

I'm kinda sad that they've locked the new Kirby DLC behind the Switch 2 version. It reminds me of how they ported Wii U games to Switch with added content as a slap in the face to everyone who stuck with them and bought those games during the Wii U era. I guess they really do want us to pay for the same thing over and over lol

I hope they release a third Jett Rocket game

I'm happy for everyone who wanted Gamecube on NSO, but I'm also glad that I've been around long enough to have a real Gamecube and all the best games in it's library on my bookshelf and no need to pay a subscription

The Switch is just about passing 3DS lifecycle now in terms of length, so it will have had an incredibly impressive run by next year when they're releasing Tomodachi Life, Rhythm Heaven and who knows what else.

Does Gamechat require a NSO subscription, or a separate type?

I just want to say that the Wii U also released after an incredibly successful console, had an excellent pack-in game (Nintendoland), received a lot of confusion about the console leading up to it's release and was extremely overpriced.

We may be getting humble Nintendo back sooner than we think and IMO, that's when they make their best games.

Nintendo said they wanted the jump from Switch 1 to 2 to be a very fast and simple process for the customer, but even after a 60 minute direct there are still so many questions and so much confusion

The Switch 1 version looked surprisingly great and ran really well, except when boosting during Shadow's campaign. I'm happy to stick with that version because they did such a good job with it.

With prices that high I don't think these will sell well. But they look awesome, so will probably become extremely sought after by amiibo fans in the future

Peach Beach from Double Dash is also returning, but I'm not sure if it's missing from the article, or if it's been integrated into a new track. It has a castle theme now instead of looking like a tropical town

I'm kinda hoping this is a "Metroid Prime: Blast Ball" type situation where the reveal trailer is secretly masking what the game will actually look like

Just under 10 years ago I bought Splatoon on Wii U at launch for only £25. That was the cost for the complete experience and I got 700 hours out of that game.

Now Nintendo is charging triple that price and that's before factoring in potential DLC for games like Mario Kart World...

I think I'm gonna miss new and retro cups...it was always exciting to see what old tracks would return. At the same time, this does look amazing and extremely ambitious.

I pretty much have all of these physically for my Gamecube, but I'm happy for people who want a legal means to play them in 2025

This looks less like Metroid Prime 4 and more like a remake of Prime 1 to me. There's the intro with Samus invading an area full of Space Pirates, then she lands on a planet full of greenery, which seems to be where the rest of the game will be set and there's even a boss on that planet which looks like Flaahgra.

Metroid Prime Hunters and Federation Force feel more similar to Prime 3 than this does, so far.

I own all three Story of Seasons games on Switch + the Picross spin off and they've all been extremely fun! I will definitely pick this up.

I don't like the tone of voice that Elma's voice actress uses, which is a problem since she's the main character. It sounds like she's trying too hard to sound cool and I think it's kinda cringe

To the people saying this might take place after Metroid 2/Super Metroid, or even Dread, why would it have taken all those years for Sylux to show himself to Samus when he was trailing her at the end of Prime 3?

Not to mention he stole a Metroid egg in Federation Force, hatched and bred (or cloned) it and is now controlling a few Metroids. If this took place after Super Metroid, it would retcon that game's Metroid being the last one in existence.

From memory, the Game Boy Color was the only time a Nintendo console enhanced how previous gen games looked. Is this performance boosting of Switch games just the wishful thinking of fans who put too much importance on visuals?

If you could see her eyes through the visor then they would represent the two nucleus on either side of a baby Metroid's innards, and the third eye on her helmet would be the like the higher nucleus.

Everybody laughed and said "Nintendoomed" when Tatsumi Kimishima said he expected the Switch to outperform the Wii's lifetime sales of 101 million. Even if they've worked for Nintendo before, they should both learn to never underestimate them.

@Yalloo It took me 50 hours to fully 100% Echoes of Wisdom, including all collectables and smoothies. So length-wise, it was on par with the bigger classic Zelda's in my experience. I just want DLC because I loved the game!

Echoes of Wisdom DLC would be awesome
