More improvements are always nice, seems like a real passion project. ...which is odd because the originals are the epitome of "quick! release it for the holidays!"
If we got it in the next Mario Kart that would be cool. It would be a toy of a virtual car...remade into another 3D model? Then I'd be interested apparently - I don't make the rules.
I'm amazed at how many figures this company produces - the prices are insane. Of course they're a high quality product...but you could buy a proper piece of furniture for your house instead? ...or a Switch and BotW, it's cheaper.
Not shocked, it looks like a PS/Xbox game on low graphics settings. It would look good! Plus it's running on UE4, probably planned this port years ago.
Just interested in the gameplay differences. New demons would be fine but the story would need a lot of work. I'm expecting an extra open area with a random DLC chapter
Until very recently they haven't made any announcements about this game whatsoever, it's hard to tell if they're bad at marketing or hiding something. ...it's not like they have to worry about spoilers, these games are hardly new.
I'll get around to the demo, I'm a little cautious around supposed "cosy" games these days. Hard to distinguish the good games from the Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing rip offs.
Shin Megami Tensei IV. Wanted to play an Atlus RPG but didn't have a PlayStation at the time, downloaded this on my 3DS and was so hyped.
When the first big "revelation" in the story happened I thought it was the coolest thing ever. No internet, no trailers, no info. Just staying up too late on a school night and genuinely experiencing something great. Wish I could have those times again.
They need to build up hype, the first trailer did that but it's died down. And I have no way of knowing if it will run well. A small preorder discount isn't going to sway me.
I'm sure I can skip it, or it will be on sale before the end of the year. The bar is low.
Haven't bought the DLC yet, but that's nice that they're wrapping it up. -plus it comes before the update! So it can break the game even more and potentially be patched
I'm sure it required a lot of time and effort...but it's a little creepy!
It's a shame that we have the software to make anything, but people would rather make worse versions of what already exists. Doesn't help that they get publicity for just another Zelda/Pokémon Unreal Project.
It's been great to see them expand, hopefully Metaphor: ReFantazio starts a new generation for Atlus. As much as I enjoy Persona, I don't enjoy the years of spinoffs, and attempts to do something new (Soul Hackers 2) haven't been hugely successful.
She did a good job, but her "Era" of Zelda is probably over. ...but I can't blame her for wanting to do the role I'd want to be employed and paid a Hollywood-style wage as well.
I only bought the DLC with the promise of new tracks, so all the characters and adjustments have been a nice bonus Tons of content...but still tons of room for growth. It will last until MK9 in a few years.
Would play it, can't currently afford it. But they've really been pushing the marketing here in the UK! Nice to see a bit of Mario when I'm rushing through the city centre, brightens things up a little
They always say this when a new console is around the corner, and then they very quickly jump ship. The fact that Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is the current summer lineup for next year says enough about the state of the Switch.
Will probably wait until it's all released. I remember finishing the Isle of Armour in a weekend but the Crown Tundra was more substantial. ...hopefully it's the same? We'll see
Pretty sure I stopped watching before he got to Hoenn, but those first few series/movies are still watchable. ...probably due to nostalgia, but I'm not sure if anything Pokémon related is amazing without nostalgia.
The lore might make things more immersive or rewarding long-term, but I'm there for the gameplay and the world. At least theories give fans something to do while they wait for the next 5+ years.
@Vyacheslav333 I'd agree that it's due to different regions. I'm not sure if Europe faces more issues because it's an entire continent. Japan and the US only has their own laws, we all of our own legal quirks in UK/France/Germany/etc.
It could be as simple as "it costs more than it's worth". Why pay the license when the game has made most (if not all) the money it will ever make? If people want fitness boxing - buy the sequel. I'd rather have everything preserved but I'm sure the upkeep is expensive.

Re: New Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Update Finally Makes Keys Easier To Spot
More improvements are always nice, seems like a real passion project.
...which is odd because the originals are the epitome of "quick! release it for the holidays!"
Re: Stardew Valley Creator Teases Fruit Tree Change Coming To Version 1.6
Bought this over the holidays, but this update is putting my plans on hold! Hopefully it doesn't take long to come to Switch
Re: Super Mario 'Mario Kart' LEGO Releasing In 2025
If we got it in the next Mario Kart that would be cool.
It would be a toy of a virtual car...remade into another 3D model? Then I'd be interested apparently - I don't make the rules.
Re: Review: LEGO Animal Crossing - Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House - Is It Any Good?
I already found Nook's Cranny in New Horizons quite sad, so how they managed to make it more underwhelming is impressive.
Where's LEGO Nookington's? T&T Emporium? I suppose they can't have more than the most recent game...
Re: Rumour: Paper Mario & Luigi's Mansion 2 News Potentially Coming On MAR10
Is there much to say besides a release date? They're hardly new.
I'd expect them to casually open preorders in the next Direct
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Is Apparently Set "Entirely" Within Lumiose City
Sounds like a lot of copied and pasted buildings we can't enter...but we'll see!
Re: Endless Ocean: Luminous Is Coming To Switch In May
@jco83 Oh, that's great! I'm more likely to try it then
Thanks!
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
It was the best way to say "our teams are working on the Switch 2", without saying it. But it wasn't awful. Not the droughts we saw on Wii U.
Re: Nintendo Direct February 2024: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
There are some things I would buy, nothing I'm hyped for though.
Just screams "final year" for the Switch.
Re: Endless Ocean: Luminous Is Coming To Switch In May
Seems like a cool eShop game? But I can't see myself pulling out £50.
More like a £35 game I'd enjoy for a couple of weekends
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Confirmed For Switch, Adds New Chapter & Storyline
...so why did I buy the original? Even this new version has DLC and a Digital Deluxe Edition.
Nobody wins! It's like SMT in real life!
Re: Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Is Rolling Exclusively Onto Switch Later This Year
The last game was...okay? Mostly liked it for the nostalgia.
I'll wait for the reviews, the fact that one of my favourite GameCube games has become a hit or miss, low budget Unity project isn't great.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Has Been Rated In Korea
@Frailbay30 there are some random cutscenes at the beginning and end? I think they were supposed to be a story

Re: Rumour: Sonic Generations To Be Featured At PlayStation's State Of Play
Wouldn't be shocked, Sega has been pretty good about porting and remastering Sonic games.
...but the quality is questionable. As is the DLC.
Re: Looking For A New Farm Sim? Try The Demo For 'Fae Farm', Out Now On eShop
I'll get around to the demo, I'm a little cautious around supposed "cosy" games these days.
Hard to distinguish the good games from the Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing rip offs.
Re: Poll: How Often Do You Trade-In Your Switch Games?
I honestly forget that GAME is still here in the UK. In my mind it has closed down multiple times.
Gone or not...I haven't missed it
Re: Talking Point: What Game Do You Wish You Could Forget?
Shin Megami Tensei IV. Wanted to play an Atlus RPG but didn't have a PlayStation at the time, downloaded this on my 3DS and was so hyped.

Haven't bought the DLC yet, but that's nice that they're wrapping it up.
-plus it comes before the update! So it can break the game even more and potentially be patched
Re: Spike Chunsoft's Annual Survey Wants To Know More About Your Gaming Interests
Explorers of Sky DX would be nice. I don't trust them to make anything Pokémon Mystery Dungeon from scratch anymore.
-which is a shame, there's lots of new Pokémon. But remaking my childhood games is fine too
Re: Sonic Superstars' Sales Were 'Slightly Weaker' Than Sega Had Anticipated
I'm not shocked, it looks like a game I'd buy on sale and be disappointed by.
Should have made Mania 2 instead.
Re: Random: Ocarina Of Time's Link Has Been Beautifully Recreated In Unreal Engine 5

Re: Pokémon's COO Wants To Keep Franchise Going For "Hundreds Of Years"
I've accepted that generations 1-5 are for my "Generation". There have been games after that I've enjoyed...but they weren't the same.
Will it run for 100 years? Maybe, but I won't be following it that long (and not because I'll be dead )
Re: Random: Super Nintendo World Japan Breaks Out Some Cute Festive Displays
The snowmen are cute...but the faces look like Boo Mario/Luigi from Galaxy?
Maybe it's for the whole Halloween to Winter season, save some coins.
Re: Persona Developer Atlus Is Raising Its Average Employee Salary By 15%
It's been great to see them expand, hopefully Metaphor: ReFantazio starts a new generation for Atlus.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Version 3.0.0) New Character Stats & Balance Changes Revealed

Tons of content...but still tons of room for growth. It will last until MK9 in a few years.
Re: Bandai Namco Ending Sales Of Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! Later This Month
Glad I bought it years ago. Didn't buy all of the DLC, but I'd prefer that to a subscription anyday
Re: Random: Animator's Stunning New Teaser Reimagines Zelda's Castle Town As A Ghibli Film
The Ghibli style would make any fantasy (or contemporary) setting look great...but this isn't Ghibli.
I'm sure this could be a cool project if they made it their own
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
Would play it, can't currently afford it.
But they've really been pushing the marketing here in the UK! Nice to see a bit of Mario when I'm rushing through the city centre, brightens things up a little
Re: Atlus Reveals Persona 5 Tactica's Replay Features, New Game+, Quests And More
I will play it...but not at launch. Persona and tactics? Great combo, but I'm not hyped.
The cast of a Persona game is always worse in the spin-offs. And the Phantom Thieves were already annoying me by the end of P5/R.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 2.0.2 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Joriss depends on your relationship with the series. Is it good? Not really, but I enjoyed it enough.
Like a bad action movie - it's not supposed to be good, but can still be entertaining.
Re: Shiren The Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon Of Serpentcoil Island Is Coming To The West
Haven't played the series, but loved Pokémon Mystery Dungeon as a kid. Might give it a go
Re: Nintendo President Reiterates Switch Software Support Into FY24/25
They always say this when a new console is around the corner, and then they very quickly jump ship.
The fact that Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is the current summer lineup for next year says enough about the state of the Switch.
Re: Persona 3 Portable & Persona 4 Golden Physical Editions Announced For Switch
Can't really justify it for myself. These are really well priced on the eShop, and even so I struggle to buy P3P.
...did they ever patch it properly?
Re: Review: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - The Teal Mask - DLC That Offers More, But Not Enough
Will probably wait until it's all released. I remember finishing the Isle of Armour in a weekend but the Crown Tundra was more substantial.
...hopefully it's the same? We'll see
Re: Vanillware's Brand New Strategy RPG Is Giving Us Serious Ogre Battle Vibes
It's a shame because it looks great, I love an Atlus/Vanillaware game...but the name!
I'm not convincing anyone to try something called Unicorn Overlord. It sounds like something from Adult Swim.
Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - The Teal Mask Are In
@AndyRogan I don't have the DLC, I've been stuck with the Duckletts I transferred from Black and White. At least they get to waddle around now.
Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - The Teal Mask Are In
Haven't bought it, and the fact that people have finished it in less than a day isn't reassuring.
...but I've had two Ducklett trapped in Pokémon Home for years, and they're finally able to be transferred somewhere! That justifies the update for me
Re: Mario Kart Tour Will Receive No New Content After October's 'Battle Tour', Says Nintendo
Can't say I'm surprised, it's definitely been slowing down.
But at least this "generation" of Mario Kart is ending this year, bring on the next!
Re: The Pokémon Anime Pilot First Aired In North America 25 Years Ago Today
Pretty sure I stopped watching before he got to Hoenn, but those first few series/movies are still watchable.
...probably due to nostalgia, but I'm not sure if anything Pokémon related is amazing without nostalgia.
Re: TOTK Director Is Extremely Vague On Game's Placement In Zelda Timeline
I doubt they care - I don't either if I'm honest.
The lore might make things more immersive or rewarding long-term, but I'm there for the gameplay and the world. At least theories give fans something to do while they wait for the next 5+ years.
Re: Random: Fan-Made Hollow Knight Boss Battle In 3D Has Us Ready To Dive Into Hallownest Again
Looks cool, but it's also a great example of "not every game needs to be 3D"
Re: Pokémon GO's Pokédex Is Now Bigger Than Any Mainline Entry
National Dex...plus so many Pokémon in random hats. They're what truly matter!
Re: Nintendo's New Employee Retention Rate Is 98.8% In Japan
I'm sure it's hard to get in...and even harder to get out! Like a cult, but fun (hopefully)
Re: Paldean Pokémon Will Start Appearing In Pokémon GO Next Week
As someone who didn't play for a few years and has returned...I have mixed feelings?
Yay for more Pokémon but I have old research tasks! I don't need the odds of a slugma appearing to be even lower!
