Seems interesting, I prefer seeing my Pokémon as living creatures instead of tools for battling. Maybe this will help along with the Pokémon amie/refresh/camping features.
And the character/Pokémon models are the only thing that look great in these games - give them the spotlight as much as you can
Well they call them skyboxes for a reason! I don't think I've ever seen the texture mirrored on the top and bottom before, but the N64 had pretty limited memory.
Yikes, well I'm definitely not buying anything right now.
Hopefully I can find some money for my remaining 3ds purchases. Wish I got back into FE sooner...
Always enjoy seeing these projects! I know it helps the technical/gameplay aspect to streamline regions...but these cities have 5 buildings. Hopefully the next generation fixes that, even if we can go inside every building
It's been years, but I always forget how skinny Pikachu is these days. I do prefer the original version but congrats on his weight loss journey! -and the toy looks pretty sweet
@ThePizzaCheese when they can't behave, yes. The industry just attracts certain people, and when they don't have anyone to tell them no we get these sort of issues.
I was willing to write it off as me being a paranoid gay dude with a bad school experience. But a lot of these guys are seriously something else - even my overthinking brain couldn't invent it.
Not really surprised, the gaming industry has always been a boy's club in my experience. There's a reason I stopped pursuing it - at least in terms of AAA companies.
I doubt it, Nintendo really survives on these "evergreen" titles. It's not like third party games are the main event, and everyone is discounting games to fight for our attention.
I'm grateful that they're still £50/60. With the jump in technology and inflation they should realistically be higher. Nintendo's guaranteed first party success has probably stopped that (for now).
Seems appropriate, Sword and Shield was ridiculous. It was only a few GBs less than Breath of the Wild...yet it looked so much worse and had less to do.
Not a fan of Baby Park myself, but I feel like the title is so people click the article out of outrage
I just want a unique concept and some interesting design/music/visuals that match. It doesn't even need to be particularly "Mario-themed". The basic Mario Kart gameplay adapts to courses well enough.

Re: Mario Kart Tour Teases Rainbow Road Wii For Its Next Update
Well they have been getting better as the Booster Course Pass continues, hopefully this one will look great by the time it comes out!
...and I'm sure it will be fine in Tour, but I'm not too bothered by that
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 3 Is Out Now With New Custom Items Update
Can't really afford any new games this winter, but at least this already payed for!
And they look pretty good, I wonder how rough the first wave will look once the DLC is finished...
Re: Random: Tired Of Waiting, One Fan Got Genshin Impact On Switch Via An Android Emulator
It doesn't run amazing on PS4, and it has a an update every 5/6 weeks that adds a gigabytes to the file size.
...oh, and it's always online.
I know it runs on mobile, but it's not ideal for the Switch.
Re: Mario Kart Tour Celebrates Its Third Anniversary With A New Tour Update
Nothing says "Anniversary Celebration" quite like dressing your Mii up like a building...or a colour
Re: Persona 5 Royal Switch eShop File Size Seemingly Revealed
Better than expected, but I wonder how long we'll be waiting for all of that getting decompressed.
I know the loading screen says "take your time", but that's not an excuse!
Re: New Limited-Time Pokémon Sword And Shield Distribution Announced For Europe
@alexwolf definitely has to be a business decision. But the codes work across regions, maybe you could find someone else to hunt one down for you?
Re: New Limited-Time Pokémon Sword And Shield Distribution Announced For Europe
Would love the first two (already have Genesect), but going to Game seems a bit extreme.
Haven't been in years and they were always clueless or offended when I asked.
Re: Poll: Is It Just Us, Or Was That Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Trailer A Little Confusing?
I thought it was fine....but I also wasn't too invested
Re: Random: Splatoon 2's Final Splatfest Dictated The Direction Of Splatoon 3
Did anyone have doubts about this?
Seemed deliberate from the first trailer...
Re: Auto Battle Pokémon With 'Let's Go!', Scarlet And Violet's Newest Feature
Seems interesting, I prefer seeing my Pokémon as living creatures instead of tools for battling. Maybe this will help along with the Pokémon amie/refresh/camping features.
And the character/Pokémon models are the only thing that look great in these games - give them the spotlight as much as you can
Re: Three New Pokémon Introduced In Latest Scarlet & Violet Trailer
Not the strongest designs, glad they weren't the main focus of the trailer.
Re: Team Star Is Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's New Set Of Villains
We've really gone from "World Ending Villains" to "Mildly Annoying People".
Can't be worse than Team Flare....can they?
Re: Nintendo Switch Is More Profitable Than Vinyl, CDs, And DVDs In The UK
I suppose that's the benefit of having such limited internal storage? Amazing cartridge sales.
Re: New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trailer Drops Tomorrow
Isn't really needed, but okay?
Feels like most people will buy it anyway - and those that complain the most seem to buy both versions.
Re: Random: GlaDOS Actress Really Wants Valve To Make Portal 3
It would be weird if she didn't want a Portal 3, who would turn down the opportunity to be GLaDOS?
(and she gets paid, that works too)
Re: Rumour: The Mario Movie's True Title Probably Won't Shock Anyone
Hopefully it's better than the original movie with that name!
...otherwise they can wait a few years and try New Super Mario Bros. It's not like they've done that before
Re: Soapbox: Endless Zelda Remakes Are A Poor Substitute For Backwards Compatibility
Having BotW, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword AND the Wind Waker all on one console is worth paying for. Especially if it's portable.
...beats paying a subscription for those N64 games
Re: Live A Live Switch Remake Sells 500k Units Worldwide
I'm not qualified whatsoever....but that seems good!
Especially with Xenoblade coming out so soon afterwards
Re: Mario Kart Tour To Remove Gacha Elements Next Month
About time! Don't know what I would do if I got another Baby Rosalina...
Re: Here's Your First Look At Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Grafaiai
Wow...there's something for everyone isn't there?
I got my Wooper though, so I couldn't care less
Re: Random: Mcdonald's Advertises Pokémon Violet And... Pokémon Violet?
At least you don't have to pick a version, I was leaning towards Violet anyway.
Re: Feature: 12 Nintendo Games That Deserve An HD-2D Remake
I don't think HD-2D is the answer to everything.
Imagine if Link's Awakening was in that style instead of what we got on Switch? That would have been awful!
Re: Rumour: It's Not Even September And Nintendo Direct Rumours Have Already Started
We already have Splatoon, Bayonetta and Pokémon! Give my wallet a break! 😂
Re: Random: The Sky In Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Is One Big Optical Illusion
Well they call them skyboxes for a reason!
I don't think I've ever seen the texture mirrored on the top and bottom before, but the N64 had pretty limited memory.
Re: Shovel Knight Dig Launches On Switch In September
Looks great! Shame the trailer was so...painful
Re: Reminder: Today Is Your Last Chance To Redeem eShop Cards On Wii U And 3DS
Yikes, well I'm definitely not buying anything right now.
Hopefully I can find some money for my remaining 3ds purchases. Wish I got back into FE sooner...
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Tricolor Turf War In Splatoon 3?
It was a cool idea but I didn't really enjoy it.
-would rather have seen the Shifty Station concept developed more, those gave each Splatfest something unique
Re: Random: Pixel Art Project To Redesign Pokémon's Kanto Region Is Complete
Always enjoy seeing these projects! I know it helps the technical/gameplay aspect to streamline regions...but these cities have 5 buildings.
Hopefully the next generation fixes that, even if we can go inside every building
Re: Game Freak Confirms Pokémon Legends: Arceus Started Development Before Sword & Shield's Launch
Seems like they spend more time hitting deadlines instead of making progress. Or if they make an improvement it won't carry over.
I suppose it sells either way - even if people love to complain about it.
Re: Mattel Announces A Big, Buildable Pikachu, And It Has Moveable Legs
It's been years, but I always forget how skinny Pikachu is these days. I do prefer the original version but congrats on his weight loss journey!

Re: Random: Nintendo Teams Up With Baskin Robbins To Make Inkable Splatoon Ice Cream
I wouldn't say it looks edible, but I bet it tastes good!
Beats squid and kid flavoured ice cream...
Re: Nintendo Prepares For 3DS & Wii U eShop Closure With Scheduled Maintenance
There are some 3DS games I'd would like to download but funds are so limited at the moment.
...and realistically there is emulation, and I've managed years without buying them. But still! The 3DS was a great little console.
Re: People Are Queueing For Hours To Get Into London's Pop-Up Pokémon Center
It's cool that the event is in the UK...but we're not the most exciting theme. Any other country or Pokémon costume would have been an improvement.
Re: New Report Alleges Sexual Harassment And Discrimination At Nintendo Of America
@ThePizzaCheese when they can't behave, yes. The industry just attracts certain people, and when they don't have anyone to tell them no we get these sort of issues.

Re: Random: Kirby's Dream Buffet Makes Kirby Rounder Than Ever Before
I wasn't expecting any of them to be as high poly as they are! The topology in Forgotten Land doesn't look great though...
-I'm sure there's an animation reason for it, but the way the triangles are arranged looks odd
Re: New Report Alleges Sexual Harassment And Discrimination At Nintendo Of America
Not really surprised, the gaming industry has always been a boy's club in my experience.
There's a reason I stopped pursuing it - at least in terms of AAA companies.
Re: Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Surpasses 1 Million Units Shipped
I'm quite surprised! Haven't got around to buying it yet but I'm sure the demo helped
Re: Sega Launches 'Ultimate Sonic Bundle' On Switch eShop, But Something's Missing
A bundle of games I own, and games I've deliberately skipped? Sign me up!
Re: Random: Splatoon 3's Shiver Appears To Be Nintendo's First Major Non-Binary Character
Out of the three, they have the best design. I'm not particularly concerned about much else.
People will project what they want onto the characters either way. Even if they're just a fleshed out announcement system.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy Release Date Announced, Just Not For The Switch
So it's a cloud version in 2024? When it's had a permanent price reduction everywhere else?
...it always seemed a little ambitious for the Switch
Re: Video: Will Switch First-Party Games Ever Get A Permanent Price Drop?
I doubt it, Nintendo really survives on these "evergreen" titles. It's not like third party games are the main event, and everyone is discounting games to fight for our attention.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: What Are The Differences? All Version-Exclusive Pokémon And More
I'll be picking Violet....just because I like purple.
If I need the version exclusives then I can pretend to be social for the first few weeks after it comes out.
Re: Mario Kart Tour Teases September Multiplayer Update, Will Add "New Ways To Play"
Didn't they say in some patch notes that they were adding a 100 player racing mode? But it would be added later on?
Maybe it's that
Re: Random: Pokémon Fans Are Excited For This Very Small, Specific Change
Even if the rest of the game doesn't look stunning, I quite like the new shader on the Pokémon themselves. Especially for the shiny/metallic ones.
Re: GAME's 'Home Arcade' Range Lets You Build The Arcade Of Your Dreams
There used to be three or four GAME stores in my city? Now's it been reduced to one.
...seems like an odd time to go into the arcade replica business
Re: Sky-High Sundae Is Coming To Mario Kart Tour Very Soon
It's not my favourite course, but at least I can save my rubies.
Hopefully if the anti-gravity is removed they can add proper collision to the fences. I find that looks a bit odd on the MK8 version.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet File Size For Switch Seemingly Revealed
Seems appropriate, Sword and Shield was ridiculous. It was only a few GBs less than Breath of the Wild...yet it looked so much worse and had less to do.
Re: Soapbox: All I Want From Mario Kart 8's DLC Is More Tracks Like Baby Park
Not a fan of Baby Park myself, but I feel like the title is so people click the article out of outrage

Re: Video: Are 'Pokémon Presents' Showcases Becoming Too Predictable?
I'd prefer it if they dropped a little trailer each week, or just included it in standard Nintendo Directs.
I don't need to be held hostage while they tell me about their dull mobile games.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 2 Gets Release Time In UK
I know I already paid for it months ago, but the idea of some "free" courses being added is quite exciting.
Mushroom Gorge let's go!
