Hopefully the region is big because it's full of Pokémon and things to find, not because it's a bunch of empty fields.
-that does seem likely though, it's not like the draw distance is great in recent Pokémon games. And now they've given us a motorcycle Pokémon which won't help....
Loved it as a kid, but replaying it in All-Stars was a bad experience. I was shocked at how unpolished it was to play! And I got the impression that the game was rushed? Don't know Sunshine's entire history but it was giving that impression.
Not awful by any means, but Galaxy/Odyssey really improved on the 3D Mario formula.
@anoyonmus it's fine. I wouldn't say it's the most impressive remaster in terms of graphics but it's very functional. I haven't seen it struggle at all.
If you want to play Diamond and Pearl in 2022 then it's a great option
The trend of adding new features like it's exclusive to the region/generation isn't fun or quirky. -Especially when you ignore common features that have become standard in the genre as a whole.
Not sure if Kirby sale records are challenging to beat, but the developers deserve it.
We've had so many years of Kirby and Yoshi games that are just pleasant. Good, but nothing special besides a gimmick or art style. Glad to see them give Kirby the push the series needed.
I'm not particularly convinced that most Nintendo series have a timeline. It's always gameplay first and everything else is made afterwards. And that includes the Zelda timeline. They definitely made that up years later
The courses don't look as bad as they did in the trailer, but it's still not great. Taking game from 2014 and giving it DLC in 2022 is always going to look weird...but using models from a mobile game and changing the art style is just confusing.
I hoped that it was decently priced because they would make their investment back easily, but it seems more like a budget/time issue.
Glad to see that it will be added to the online rotation soon. Can't afford the DLC at moment but my online subscription hasn't expired yet, there is some hope!
Enjoyed the original P4A, never picked up Ultimax. But now seems like a good excuse!
Nice to see Atlus continue the tradition of giving us Persona on Nintendo systems, but never what people asked for What's next? Persona Q3 or ports of the Dancing games?
More of these icons is cool, but I wish it was integrated properly through a system update. Feels weird that you can't access it with the rest of the profile pictures.
This year's release schedule is pretty great, I wouldn't mind if they pushed it to next year.
Maybe they should hold it back and make sure there aren't any areas like Korok Forest in terms of performance. By the time they were fixed I was done with those areas and they were slightly ruined.

Re: It's Official, Tactics Ogre: Reborn Is Coming To Switch
The more JRPGS and SRPGS my Switch has, the better

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Datamine Might Have Leaked Details About Future DLC Tracks
Does it matter what the courses are? Even if they're uglier than the base game they're still tons of fun!
...that and also the fact that it's a season pass, we're stuck with what we're getting.
Re: Nintendo Releases Another Update For Switch (Version 14.1.2), Here Are The Details
I'd like to hope that there's a team working on actual features for system updates. Folders and themes would be nice.
...it just seems like there's one dude that keeps researching offensive terms to add to the list
Re: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Is Now The Most Successful Kirby Game In UK Chart History
Whenever I think of the UK charts my mind always goes back to the Wii U days, so this is a pleasant surprise!
At least they get a few weeks in the spotlight before the usual games take the top spots.
Re: Soapbox: Super Mario Sunshine Wasn't Bad, It Was Just Ahead Of Its Time
Loved it as a kid, but replaying it in All-Stars was a bad experience.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Trailer Confirms Launch For This October
I'm sure my electricity bill will be absolutely terrifying by October....but Bayonetta is worth it! It looks great
Re: Video: 3D Graphic Artist Spends 1200 Hours Reimagining Zelda 64 - Zora's Domain In Unreal Engine 5
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to do everything.
-like cloth physics on the Zora fins, that's bizarre...
Re: Check Out The Puzzle-Platforming In New Lord Of The Rings: Gollum Trailer
Looks like it could be decent....but why is this a game? And why now?
It's slightly weird, but we'll see how it turns out.
Re: Video: Why You Should Play The Persona Series On Switch
I think P3P/P4G will be best on Switch. They require a lot of time and aren't exactly the prettiest. At least technically, the art holds up.
Still unsure whether to get P5R on Switch or not. Accessibility is one thing, but it's going to be blurry with a huge file size...
Re: Portal 2 Beta Levels Discovered In Datamine Of The Switch Version
These were new discoveries? I was surprised to see the games on Switch, but now I'm wondering what version they're based on.
It's not like they had to scale back on a prettier, new version. These were out during the PS3 days...
Re: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, And Persona 4 Royal Are Coming To Switch
Excited to try the Royal version, even more excited that people will finally shut up about the port begging!
Re: Here's How Sonic 3's New Music In Sonic Origins Stacks Up To The Classics
It's not great, I was hoping they would try to rip off the originals as close as possible (legally).
-but it's better than never seeing Sonic 3 ever again!
Re: Twitter Users Rally For Young Cancer Patient Who Dreams Of Playing Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
I can completely understand if it's not possible, but it would be nice for the kid.
-just don't make them sign a million NDAs and then provide a buggy development version.
Re: It Looks Like A Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Demo Is On The Way
Pretty sure all of the other Nintendo x Warriors games had demos as well (except HW Definitive Edition?), so I'm not surprised.
It's appreciated anyway, hard to get a demo for games these days!
Re: Random: You Won't Be Able To Access Your Animal Crossing Island By 2061
I barely have the motivation to play it in 2022, I'm not too concerned about 2060
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Releases 18th November
The game itself looks better, can't say the same for the Pokémon though...
Not sure if it's weird shading, design, or a mix of the two
Re: Random: Nintendo, Why Do You Keep Making Pauline Shorter?
It's Nintendo - gameplay first, logic second
Re: Random: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Players Really Want Nintendo To "Fix" Coconut Mall
Out of all of the issues I have with the Booster Pass, this isn't the biggest one.
-but now that it's on Tour...the Switch version somehow looks better? Maybe they should show the ugliest version first
Re: Get Your First Look At Sonic Prime On Netflix
Cancelled my Netflix subscription recently, glad I'm not missing out.
Re: Oops, An Italian Voice Actor May Have Spoiled Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2
RIP to this man, I'm sure the Nintendo ninjas will have taken him already
Re: British Gas Advises Consumers To Turn Off Games Consoles To Save Money
Underpowered hardware? More like energy conscious! I can see the commercials already...
Re: Switch Versions Of Sonic 1 And 2 Are Safe As SEGA Plans To Delist Classic Games
It's not great...but there are so many ways to play these games over decades of platforms.
I have two versions of Sonic the Hedgehog on my Switch already, 3 if I ever got the NSO expansion pack.
Re: Pokémon's Diamond And Pearl Remakes Have Been Updated To Version 1.3.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@anoyonmus it's fine. I wouldn't say it's the most impressive remaster in terms of graphics but it's very functional. I haven't seen it struggle at all.
If you want to play Diamond and Pearl in 2022 then it's a great option
Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 14.1.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
How are we at version 14.1 already? It doesn't seem like much has changed besides the usual stability updates.
The 3DS only went up to version 11 and that included themes, miiverse and so much more.
Re: Random: Logan Paul Spends Absurd Money On Rare Pokémon Card
Is this that suicide forest guy? Since when did he get a completely new face and body....and some old lady's necklace?
Re: Feature: 6 Things We Pokémon Vets Want To See In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
The trend of adding new features like it's exclusive to the region/generation isn't fun or quirky.

Re: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Is Apparently Japan's "Biggest" Kirby Launch Ever
Not sure if Kirby sale records are challenging to beat, but the developers deserve it.

Re: Mario Kart Tour's Upcoming Update Introduces Yoshi Tour
It's not my favourite course but maybe the R/T versions will add something new.
I'm sure the branching paths was exciting on N64 but these days it's not as much.
Re: Who Needs Switch Pro? New Dongle Promises To "Instantly Upgrade Switch To 4K"
What a sleek, subtle design...
But in all seriousness, most Switch games don't bother me. Some are a little blurry but post processing can only do so much.
Re: New Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Footage Showcases Gnarly Master Sword
Maybe this is their answer to the complaints about weapon durability?
You can keep using a weapon...but it will eventually get reduced to a handle
Re: Amazon US Launches Pokémon T-Shirt Subscription Service
I'll be busy trying to pay my bills next month, shirts can wait
Re: There's "No Clear Timeline" For Kirby's Game Stories, According To HAL Laboratory's General Director
I'm not particularly convinced that most Nintendo series have a timeline. It's always gameplay first and everything else is made afterwards.
And that includes the Zelda timeline. They definitely made that up years later
Re: New LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Trailer Highlights The "Greatest Villains"
I'm sure it will be great, but I do forget about the new movies. The original Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga will always be the best for me.
-and it had Indiana Jones for no reason! I doubt the new one has that
Re: Random: A Rare Zelda: The Wind Waker Promo Scroll Gets An Airing
It's cool, but I'm fine with not owning it.
The days of me spending too much money on things I'm scared to touch or use are long gone. That and I'm poor, yay
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Datamine Uncovers Updated Booster Course Banner
Always happy to see Koopa Cape - hopefully it's closer to the Wii version instead of MK7.
But I wouldn't say that a bunch of SNES courses would excite me, would love more from Double Dash and DS.
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass DLC?
I'll buy it eventually, maybe after Wave 2 or 3.
Re: Video: Here's A Look At The New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tracks - Direct Switch Footage

Re: Looks Like Some People In The West Are Playing The Mario Kart 8 DLC Early
Looks better than I expected, but end part with the cars is a disappointment. If I can't be run over by my own Miis then what is the point?
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Version 2.0.0 Now Live, Confirms All DLC Cup Names
I know they like to use items for the cup names...but some of these are just odd. Especially when they're all remastered tracks.
Would have loved Odyssey-themed levels for the Moon Cup etc
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 1 Has A Release Time, In Australia
We'll be playing these courses for YEARS, I don't need to try them out in the first few hours.
More MK8D is good whenever
Re: Pokémon's Diamond And Pearl Remakes Have Been Updated To Version 1.3.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
I would like to do the Arceus event but I haven't bought Legends: Arceus.
...I've barely had the motivation to finish BDSP anyway. Pretty sure I'm only at Veilstone City.
Re: Review: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax - Not The Persona You're Looking For, But Still A Fine Fighter
Enjoyed the original P4A, never picked up Ultimax. But now seems like a good excuse!
Nice to see Atlus continue the tradition of giving us Persona on Nintendo systems, but never what people asked for What's next? Persona Q3 or ports of the Dancing games?
Re: Nintendo Switch Led UK Console Sales In February, But Numbers Are Down Year-On-Year
Well it's probably hard to keep selling them at that rate, most people will already have a Switch by now (if they're interested).
Re: Switch Online's "Missions & Rewards" Adds More Super Mario Odyssey Icons
More of these icons is cool, but I wish it was integrated properly through a system update. Feels weird that you can't access it with the rest of the profile pictures.
Re: Random: It's Been 1000 Days Since Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Was Announced

Re: Nintendo Switch Online App Version 2.0.0 Includes Biggest Updates Yet
I got all of the exclusive furniture for Animal Crossing and haven't used the app since.
NSO is honestly just a Mario Kart subscription for me at this point...
Re: Nintendo Japan Can Make Kirby Eat Your Switch OLED Box, If You Want
I'm usually sad that Nintendo doesn't revisit it's gimmicks....but mouthful mode is an exception.
It's getting weird.
Re: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Won't Be Getting An Important Online Upgrade On Switch
Wasn't planning to play it online so that makes no difference.
Surely the competitive players will flock to the PC version anyway?
