@spiderman0616 You might be right about the games being old, being bad, or being Sega, but I don't wish on that on any game. I want every game to succeed, regardless of its a key card release or not. Except Black Ops 7. F&$k Black Ops 7.
@Lizuka Fair enough. I still think that the format might've had some factor in it, but I did forget that Ubisoft and WB discounts their games like crazy.
As for the EA Sports prices, seeing those games get cut to over 50% off in not even half a year is strange, but I don't know why for certain, and honestly, I don't think I care all that much.
I was genuinely surprised when I saw how low the game prices so low so early in this console's life.
Then I realized the one thing that, save Story of Seasons, all of these games have in common. They're all game key cards, or worse, download codes.
I mean, a deal's a deal, I'm not at all saying not to buy these. I honestly might. But, nudge nudge, might show how game key cards aren't exactly flying off of shelves, especially at full price.
@benmalsky198 Only reasons I'm not immediately getting Air Riders is that I don't own a Switch 2, I haven't played the demo, and I don't want to buy the game before knowing that I like it first, or at least after I get bored of whatever games I get first.
@Aswannsong Look, I love Kirby (although I might not get Air Riders anytime soon), the series holds a really special place in my heart, but I really respect the hater energy that you've got against it. I wish I could be as passionate at despising something badly as you do Kirby. HotGoomba approves.
Oh yes! I love to see Nintendo supporting their consoles with... compatibility?! What is this tomfoolery?!?! Where is the stability gosh darn it, Nintendo!!!
I don't understand why some people are shocked by this. The Switch 2 Edition is a $5 upgrade. Happy Home Paradise is $25. No other Nintendo Switch 2 Edition from Nintendo has included past DLC. Nintendo Switch prices rarely go down for anything other than small sales.
Didn't like Eternals, but it definitely wasn't the actors' fault, especially Chan's. I feel like everything around Eternals was good, except for the writing and pacing. I should see her in more stuff.
This actually was a pretty good first look for this game on Switch 2, so I'm a little surprised that this wasn't announced alongside the other platforms, especially since it's launching day-and-date with PS5, PC, and Xbox. I wonder if this version only recently started development.
@fenlix Three years later and I'm still getting flak for that comment lmao. My opinions have shifted since then, although I still think that port is pretty mediocre, and I do agree that it shouldn't have the respect of being called a remaster lmao
I think people are misinterpreting this quote. It's not saying that games aren't seen as "art", but rather that the prospect of making an art piece shouldn't get in the way of a product.
If you ask me, I think anything and everything can be art, including video games. Never understood why video games always had a hard time being considered art, especially since they're a mixture of many other mediums, like design, music, modeling, etc.
I think that all music, films, games, so on so forth are art, even if it's bad or corporate, because traditional art, digital art, sketching, and sculpturing can be bad and corporate as well. Art is art.
Truly one of the greatest games ever made, one of the few good things Ubisoft had a contribution with, and one of the only game titles where you get a funny name if you replace the first letters of each word in its title, "Buck Bumble", with the letter F.
To anyone going to a GameStop to buy a Switch 2, make sure to bring your dont-put-a-damn-staple-onto-the-box-of-my-expensive-ass-handheld spray with you for the best buying experience.
@Ultimapunch Yes, how dare Nintendo optimize the geometry for a smoother and more consistent frame rate and overall better gameplay experience across both platforms, the nerve of them!
Honestly, I can't really see this as anything more than "neat". Not bad, not poorly valued, just neat.
If this was a pack-in, even if it's no Astro's Playroom, it would've been very neat. But the fact that it's $10 separately makes me just prefer getting another $10 game, especially one with more replay value. I'm not saying that this isn't worth $10, but it's not gonna be everyone's first option.
But hey, at least Nintendo has a title to nudge into Black Friday sales for the Switch 2. I can't wait to see kids' excitement over getting a tour guide for Christmas.
@SwitchplayerJohn Neither of the Lego games announced today are in-house.
Lego Voyagers is developed by Light Brick Studio, an independent developer for Lego-themed games, and published by Annapurna Interactive.
Lego Party is developed by SMG Studios, the independent developer of Moving Out and Death Squared, and will be published by a company named "Fictions" (Fictions might be the successor to Private Division, but I don't think that's been fully confirmed yet).
Additionally, TT Games is still open, and is infact hiring. Of course, this could change with how unpredictable Warner Bros Discovery is at the moment, but for now, they're open, likely developing a project right now, and I don't think it's wild to predict that it's a Lego game.
If anything, Lego has been more open to external developers and publishers. Even if they go fully through with their in-house Lego games, they're not getting rid of third-party Lego games.
I find it funny that it's cheaper to get the physical version of Civilization VII on Switch 1, then get the Switch 2 upgrade separately, compared to getting the more expensive and objectively worse code-in-a-box Switch 2 copy.
Why even release a physical version on Switch 2? It's not even a key card. At least with that, it's tangible, it has more worth than a damn sheet of paper with a digital code.
I really don't like how Nintendo Life keeps reposting this article. This is probably the third time I've gotten a bunch of replies from this one article, and it's wild. We don't need the same article to be updated three times.
@Lofoten I know that the Wii U was the most powerful console for about a year. I also know that everything else about the console was so botched that everyone barely noticed.
@Misima No, I'm not surprised. I know why Nintendo barely focused on power for the longest time. It's just nice to see a Nintendo console not be incredibly behind the competition for once.
@Rukasumi Yeah, it really didn't age well. At least we have confirmation though.
@Toastmaster I addressed this in a previous message, so I'll just requote it.
"And I know that the Wii U was technically the most powerful console on the market for about a year. I think I would've heard more hype about it if people weren't confused on if it was a Wii accessory or not."

Wow, that European one is awful. The American and Japanese ones looks good though.
Also, why does the big bad on the Japanese box art look like that one Austrian painter with the ugly mustache?

No stability jokes... I guess I could work with that.
Wow, I sure to love all of that issue fixing. Oh boy do we love issue fixing! Nintendo is spoiling us with all those issues fixes!
It just doesn't feel that same...

I feel like they're severely undervaluing the game by pricing it at only $70. Pricing this at $150 is a lot more reasonable.

I appreciate the honesty of the director, and I do like that they're prioritizing the actual gameplay.
Despite this, I will still stick to my original plan of blaming all the performance issues and frame drops on Diddy Kong.

I'm enjoying this streak of quality Marvel titles recently.
And I'm always happy to see Rocket Raccoon. He's been a bit oversaturated with these games recently, but so has 70% of the cast of any Marvel game.
Here's to hoping Marvel Rivals comes to Switch 2 so that I can piss off my teammates as Rocket Raccoon on the go!
