I don't really care for it myself but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. As for the game itself it's gonna be one of those cases where I will play it if I get to borrow it from a friend or something but I'm not paying a cent for it.

Mario Kart is cool

Bravely Default remaster is cool... But I'm expecting that to come in other platforms sooner or later. Then it's just ports upon port that I could play on other platforms right now if I so wanted.

Basically all it amounted to is for me to not want to play Metroid Prime 4 when it releases because I don't want to be playing an inferior version.

I don't think I can justify paying 500+ for it, maybe once a new Smash is announced or something.

The old rocket cards with the "Dark Pokemon" are thematically some of the coolest ones I remember. Too bad this one will probably be similarly scalped to hell leaving casual enjoyers such as myself in the dust. I wouldn't mind checking out a couple boosters of this to see what I get if you can get these at normal people prices.

Do they still force you to take Elma and Lyn with you everytime you do a main story quest? I hated that in the original, I got so many cool characters to use and they keep forcing me to take these lamers with me.

Going for those rare drops is always a waste of time, you never really need them, and if you do it's probably not a game that's really worth your time in the first place.

X is far and away the best of the bunch, which isn't really saying that much.

Those are considerably above any other games in the series in my eyes.

Chikorita is my favorite starter ever so that, but like all starters it goes right into the trash once I get to a point where my team starts forming up.

Clearly preparing for Switch 2 so they can continue drip feeding the same dozen or so games all over again as they like to do.

I've said for some time it'd be smart of them to make a sort of a competive side game that'd entirely focus on that aspect of the series, guess they finally went there.

I guess I could make some manner of package deal including some of the games I don't care for that much, but at the same time I don't think it'd ultimately be worth the effort and I donno how much life my launch day Switch has in it anyhow.

Legendary cards tend to be lame, I'd honestly be more interested in seeing what sort of generic cards they got.

And as someone said, I agree that MTG has just gone too ham with these crossovers as of late, game's losing its own identity in the process.

The 3D version is hot doodoo in comparison, pretty much all the changes are for the worse and it's handheld only too which in itself is a big con.

You can't spell Aaaaa****** without AAA, that line makes me think its gonna be another ***** movie game ala Lords of Shadow. If they're gonna do something with Castlevania they really ought to go for the Classic 2D style or the Metroidvania style, the gameplay which the series is generally known for.

I'm wondering if they took any step in making the AI smarter when it comes to invasions, CIV6 AI had no idea on how to invade another country and it was one of the major reasons why the game felt like a downgrade from CIV5.

This whole situation is insane and its such a bummer to see no-life opportunists to ruin things for everyone.

The actual TGC game is a lot of fun though as I found recently, a friend got me a Ninetales EX battle deck for last christmas to go with Zapdos deck he got himself and we got some pretty fun battles in, it's a lot more chill to play compared to Magic since you don't really need to be so razor sharp about the goings on in the opponent turns.

In the end I got enough of a Pokemon fever from that, that I ended up buying 10 or so random booster packs and opened them to get that feel of childhood nostalgia and yeah, that was fun too but I have no desire to spend any more money on those things.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades. (Odyssey was kinda poop and IDC about Astro Bot so I have no dog in this race really).

Digging through the e-shop deals and trying to figure which of the dozens of hentai games use AI generated art.

I feel like it will continue further to the way of MK8 and reduce the effect and interaction between racers, that game had reduced the knock back to such pitiful levels already, being able to knock your opponents to a precipice was one of the most fun things you could do in MK. They will probably also make the courses even easier and wider still to account for that.

In theory more racers is good but MK8 already showed that it does seem to come at the cost of the chaos that makes Mario Kart to me anyway.

The amount of customization and player control takes away from the life sim aspect, you never have to deal with villagers leaving or anything like that since they always need to have your permission first, that just totally misses the point of what Animal Crossing is. The villager dialogue is super repetive and just way too nice, the earlier games had bit more of an edge to them.

And then the customization and terraforming features themselves are still limited and cumbersome to use, so it fails in that side too.

It just hits this awful middle ground that doesn't really satisfy either side, but for me personally the series has just lost its identity with this entry and they really need to rehaul the entire villager dialogue system, it's pretty telling that the game itself treats talking to the villagers as a "chore" from which you gain points from.

Donno if this would be it but Animal Crossing could use some competition, they kinda dropped the ball with the latest one.

Yeah a bit of a questionable scene to highlight lol. But I hope the remasters end up being worth it, I think the prior Konami classic releases as of late have been just fine. Worst comes to worst the originals always exist.

I don't really remember the dialogue in this scene by heart, but I'm wondering if they did any touch ups to the english dialogue in the game because it could probably use some.

It looks lovely, japan had many nice picturesque places, loved some of the shrines and castles I got to visit myself.

Well I got a chance of dissing their modern vision of turning the main series into action movie games, so I'll take it.

Unless they decide to go back to their original turn-based RPG roots I don't see myself playing any of these newer games.

It's generally their lower budget games where Squeenix thrives these days.

These are my games of the year, I don't really believe in limiting myself to a single console on things like this.

Nothing else out of the 31 games which I played for the first time this year comes even remotely close to those so I don't really see much point in continuing the list further.

I'm still amidst playing VH2 but I feel pretty comfortable in saying that its a darned legit game.

One of my all time favorite games, tough choice, I love the breezy anime art in the japanese version, I just love how colorful the cast is and the shade of blue they use for the background is very nice, but the US box art is such a classic case of "bad" western box art with a huge nostalgia factor to boot that I just can't help but to love it, like why is everyone so pissed and scary on that cover lol?

I hyped it up to myself in such a way that I decided to go for the US cover.

Activate Breath of Fire then please.

It works just as well as any other style when the art direction is strong, like in the Live-a-live remake, that game always had a strong visual identity and I think the more colorful aesthetic translated to the style perfectly.

Yeah the cons are pretty much spot on, I was kinda interested in this and I got it on release on Steam but it really is quite barebones and samey all the way through, good visual style only goes so far.

Hell yeah, when it comes to product, Heinz is up there as one of the most important ones.

I don't recall particularly caring for the game, some good music though and the character art in the original is quite nice, 3DS version dropped the ball there in a pretty big way.

I looove the DS, or rather its library but yeah, it's one of Nintendo's best consoles period only really challenged by SNES, Atlus was on fire back then. I'll do a top 10 since 5 would just be doing such a great library disservice.

Aw man, they didn't have anything half as cool as that when I went there.

I read the head line as "Xbox Child" certainly would've been mature of them compared to how I would've been about sharing Nintendo games when I was a bab myself.

The game looks great and all but the simple decision to change it so that level ups fully heal your party is just going to ruin the dungeon crawling gameplay that made the old Dragon Quests so great. Why-oh-why cannot it be a toggle?

No. I like all my music in one place and to this day just listening to your own MP3s is the only place for that.

Trailer is hype as hell, I didn't get hooked into the game as some others did, I got 5 hours out of it and I enjoyed my time well enough. This DLC may convince to return to the game.
