Decapolice, Visions of Mana (yes, the devs don't exist anymore), Metaphor, Bleach, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, GranBlue Fantasy Relink, Mina the Hollower, Diablo 4, Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy, Grandia III, Genshin Impact (and/or other HoYoverse titles), Valkyrie Profile (1 and/or 2) and many more.
Wet dream would be Ratchet & Clank series, but think that series is locked to Sony (aside Rift Apart's PC port)
Looking forward to try it out! Going to make a new island since I got too tempted by those "treasure islands" before and after a while I felt bad and grew bored.
120 games, 647 hours.
1) Octopath Traveler (58 hrs)
2) Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Switch 2 Edition (53 hrs)
3) Legend of Mana (47 hrs)
Doubt I actually played 120 games, but I think I entered/started many games played previously when I created my exophase profile to get accurate play time on all my games (since exophase only grabs last 30 games played or so).
I'm someone who finds this OST to be underrated. It's not the best in the series for sure, but it's not "bad" as many says. Sure, Sakamoto has a different "feel" for his music composition than Shimomura, but I feel the OST gets alot of flack purely due to the name of the composer rather than the actual OST.
I find some of the themes to be very pleasant, like the Shipshape Island hub theme and some of the early islands have nice catchy tunes (Rumbla, Twistee, Florall, Desolatt). The battle theme is also decent, but the lack of more unique boss battle themes is something I noticed early on.
Both the penultimate and the final dungeon themes are also good.
@Wewewi I'd rather say that both Children of Mana (DS) and Dawn of Mana (PS2) were the troublemakers of the series, as Legend of Mana sold pretty well despite the lower critic scores compared to Secret/Trials.
Since I succumbed to the desire of going on one of those "Treasure Islands", I really want to start all over again and with these news then I have an even better reason to do so!
Both the original and the remake are among my favorite games of all time. The class system mentioned here, along with the free choice of which 3 characters you want to play as, gives alot of replayability. And even then you can mix up light/dark paths of your chosen characters aswell!
Preordered SMG2 right after the direct, since I already have the 3D All Stars collection from the 35th anniversary. Actually never played SMG2 aside from beating SMG1 back in the Wii days. Very excited!
Can still hope for a Switch 2 update patch despite no separate version. Then again, setting my expectations low for this sadly. Still will be on my wishlist!
Despite releasing tomorrow their dlc, I still hope Chained Echoes gets some love in the showcase tomorrow too! Another promising indie pixel art JRPG coming soon that I hope gets shown, is Quartet (releasing august 26th on steam with no console release known but maybe it could happen now). Then you have the spiritual successor to CrossCode called Alabaster Dawn. CrossCode was great so this one should be amazing too! Others I would hope for, are Threads of Time and Aethermancer.
Larry was my main in MK8 and until they readd the koopalings, then back to my old main in Koopa Troopa. However of new racers then will mostly use Hammer Bro
Guess aside mobile stuff, it will be one final content trailer for Z-A before it's October release and then first gameplay look at Pokémon Champions. Personal wish is for them to shadowdrop Colosseum onto GC NSO (which is confirmed but with no date yet) and maybe surprise gen 1-2-3 onto GB & GBA. Then again I've been hoping for that ever since 3DS eshop closed down
It's on my wishlist since it was announced. Just too massive backlog and other games I'm playing currently that prevents me from playing this gem right now. Will get there soon!
Graphically, DD was a big step up from 64. Also more drivers and cool new items (some which have been standardized since). Downside was the small selection of tracks which made the game feel abit short
@westman98 My thoughts exactly about lack of FPS being mentioned that it will just smoothen out by itself rather than requiring changes through an update.
I would guess alot more titles not part of these 12 also have the same "fix" in which today's random FPS drops on Switch 1 will just be gone once played on Switch 2.
Still have (way too much) backlog of games that either already run very smooth on Switch 1 and/or unlikely to get a Switch 2 port/edition any time soon, if ever.
Regarding composers, the Pokémon Company released gen 8, 9 and Legends Arceus super music collections last year and a track list with composer credits per track can be found at both bulbapedia and vgmdb
Ah yes, Battle! (Rose).
How a guy like Rose gets one of the most evil and villainous battle themes with epic background choir that would even make the more actual evil Pokémon villains like Ghetsis very jealous. Love it!
Regarding composers, there are several for this game. Intelligent Systems released the soundtrack for the game some months after release last year and you can find the track list with individual composer credits at vgmdb. Else, the list of composers are: Yasuhisa Baba, Kazuki Komai, Hiroki Morishita, Takeru Kanazaki, Fumihiro Isobe, Takafumi Wada, Ryosuke Kawasaki, Sumika Horiguchi
Almost wish they went back with the personal race results theme. Very short but also catchy. Oh and.. the Finish 5th-8th track is so mentally devastating. So many childhood memories of hearing that and feeling so sad (especially if its followed up by the Game Over track).
Actually remember it took me many years before I found it the game's title was not "Diddy Kong's Quest", but "Diddy's Kong Quest". Guess childhood me didn't understand much of the word -Conquest- haha

Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
So why its own thing and not in Nintendo Classics?
It's simple
Save Data Cloud & Rewind. Game Freak have routinely not wanted these so you can't scum encounters/releases/trades
Plus HOME connectivity would need its own save file too

Re: Feature: Get A Job - 30 Years On, Seiken Densetsu 3's Class System Is Still One Of The Best
@Wewewi This is correct! It was always uncapped but mainly ran at max around 33-34 fps or so on Switch 1.
Now 60 fps always on Switch 2!
