@Wewewi I'd rather say that both Children of Mana (DS) and Dawn of Mana (PS2) were the troublemakers of the series, as Legend of Mana sold pretty well despite the lower critic scores compared to Secret/Trials.

and this is before the upcoming holidays too!

@Wewewi This is correct! It was always uncapped but mainly ran at max around 33-34 fps or so on Switch 1.
Now 60 fps always on Switch 2!

Both the original and the remake are among my favorite games of all time. The class system mentioned here, along with the free choice of which 3 characters you want to play as, gives alot of replayability. And even then you can mix up light/dark paths of your chosen characters aswell!

Preordered SMG2 right after the direct, since I already have the 3D All Stars collection from the 35th anniversary. Actually never played SMG2 aside from beating SMG1 back in the Wii days. Very excited!

As a kickstarter backer from back in the days, I will still get this lovely remake. However I do hope a 60 fps upgrade will be coming soon!

Glad we are getting some 3rd party love for GBA NSO.

Can still hope for a Switch 2 update patch despite no separate version. Then again, setting my expectations low for this sadly.

Another promising indie pixel art JRPG coming soon that I hope gets shown, is Quartet (releasing august 26th on steam with no console release known but maybe it could happen now). Then you have the spiritual successor to CrossCode called Alabaster Dawn. CrossCode was great so this one should be amazing too! Others I would hope for, are Threads of Time and Aethermancer.

@Spider-Kev They do. I was in Japan around the time the Switch 2 launched and got myself a physical copy of the game. It has English support aswell.

20% of Sonic X Shadow Generations sales were Switch 1. Hope those were not aiming for Switch 2 upgrade.

Larry was my main in MK8 and until they readd the koopalings, then back to my old main in Koopa Troopa. However of new racers then will mostly use Hammer Bro

Personal wish is for them to shadowdrop Colosseum onto GC NSO (which is confirmed but with no date yet) and maybe surprise gen 1-2-3 onto GB & GBA. Then again I've been hoping for that ever since 3DS eshop closed down

Pretty neat with the Rewind feature for N64 classics also!

Guess I will hunt harder for a physical version of this game in Japan once I go there this Friday!

It's on my wishlist since it was announced. Just too massive backlog and other games I'm playing currently that prevents me from playing this gem right now. Will get there soon!

Graphically, DD was a big step up from 64. Also more drivers and cool new items (some which have been standardized since). Downside was the small selection of tracks which made the game feel abit short

@westman98 My thoughts exactly about lack of FPS being mentioned that it will just smoothen out by itself rather than requiring changes through an update.

I would guess alot more titles not part of these 12 also have the same "fix" in which today's random FPS drops on Switch 1 will just be gone once played on Switch 2.

Still have (way too much) backlog of games that either already run very smooth on Switch 1 and/or unlikely to get a Switch 2 port/edition any time soon, if ever.

Regarding composers, the Pokémon Company released gen 8, 9 and Legends Arceus super music collections last year and a track list with composer credits per track can be found at both bulbapedia and vgmdb

Ah yes, Battle! (Rose).
How a guy like Rose gets one of the most evil and villainous battle themes with epic background choir that would even make the more actual evil Pokémon villains like Ghetsis very jealous. Love it!

Regarding composers, there are several for this game. Intelligent Systems released the soundtrack for the game some months after release last year and you can find the track list with individual composer credits at vgmdb.

Actually remember it took me many years before I found it the game's title was not "Diddy Kong's Quest", but "Diddy's Kong Quest". Guess childhood me didn't understand much of the word -Conquest- haha

Certainly will get this one! As others mentioned I also hope there will be a Switch 2 edition for this one (though I guess we need to see how Nihon Falcom will do with Switch 2 since devs seem to have quite different approach).
Since they also renamed the game after it's first reveal, from "The 1st" to "1st Chapter" then a remake of the other two games in the series seems very likely (since the third game is called "The 3rd" and would collide with a possible remake of same name format the remake is pushing towards).
Hopefully it's popular enough that even the Crossbell Arc could follow up but now I'm talking waaaay ahead of time here haha

Nintendo's stock also hit a record high last week and bypassed 12,000 yen for the first time. In comparison when Switch 1 was released in march 2017 it was around 2,400 yen and first time the stock bypassed 7,000 yen was end of december in 2023. Quite the amazing growth. The record they set in september of 2007 at around 6,740 yen stood for over 13 years before it was bypassed in february 2021

I guess some devs still think hyper-realism and focus on detail to the extreme is the only thing many gamers care about and that gameplay, story, music, replayability etc. is just a second-though.
Hope for their sakes that it won't turn into a "Cyberpunk" kind of situation with promises of GOTY-situation, only for it to collapse due to self-caused injuries.
Not my type of game anyways. I look forward to Mario Kart World and the whole new Nintendo generation that is soon here.

Great news! My BF is a big DB fan and been wanting to get Sparking Zero on Switch 2 while he replays Kakarot with the Daima DLC.
Hope this also means more Bandai Namco games will come over too, like Digimon Story Time Stranger and Bleach Rebirth of Souls.
