This version of Zelda has been milked to death. Even that BotW theme is just tiring now.

MGS 2 is has aged better actually. Both Switch versions run perfecly despite the ***** fps talk.

That was the ps3HD version, the original ran at 30fps. Mgs2 was 60 fps on all platforms except Switch. Not that it would matter since they all play and run identically in terms of how it looks like when you play.

The game is only maddening if you don't go exploring to get stronger when getting stuck. Extra masks and new tools are a big thing in this game.

It's obviously not open world despite this clickbait article. People just forgot the existence of the earlier trailer and jumped to ignorant conclusions based on one open desert area.

Well I already beat those bosses. And no they won't ruin the game by making easy mode.

Silksong is the number 1 game at the moment for all consoles.

No one has still completed the game and it's been like 4 days. This is the most large platformer ever. I'm probably farther in than most people and all I can say it's a masterpiece leaving every other metroidvania and most other soulslikes in the dust.

I just spent my time reading old video game reviews and guess what? No one EVER talked about framerates unless it was a game crippling problem. The fact you spend so much time talking about a non- issue is embarrassing and dumb. The entire fps conversation has really gotten out of hand to the point it's almost insane.

They could easily ask a full price, but if this is true hats off for the developers!

Also I'm buying all indie games as digital so I don't mind if the physical is more expensive.

Edit: One question, why are they only revealing US and UK prices? Ever heard this little currency called Euro?

It's way too early and ***** nonsensical for ps6. 99% of PS5 games look like PS4 games. So, what is PS6? A PS5?

It's just about the repairability not the quality of the controller which is top notch.

I'm sure many people make a bid deal out of it, though, as if you ever needed to repair these things. They last forever unless you're banging them with a hammer.

You have a bad taste. The Xenoblade series (mostly) beats the competition. My scores would be:

XC1: 9.5/10
XC2: 6/10

90% of the games still look like Switch 1 games. Just proves how useless the power increase for the consoles are these days. Same for PS5, the best looking game for the console is actually a PS4 game (RDR2).

What does it matter whether you control a plumber or an ape? Gameplay is most important in these games. If DK Bananza is good enough, it can be a replacement for a new Mario. Besides, it's nice to get a new 3D DK game after all these years.

I'm sure the port will come since they released RDR1 for Switch, but this sounds like something bigger's going on.

How the hell is double dash so high. The game was so small with just a few tracks and the gameplay was bland. The graphics are dated. It makes me think it got the spot only for the co-op mode, and nostalgia. Most players seem to have rose tinted glasses on everytime someone mentions a gamecube game.

I would give Wind Waker 8.5/10. It's not as good as the 10/10 BotW and N64 outings, but better than Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.

The Wind Waker has the weakest story out of all 3D Zeldas, though. There's just one epic scene in the whole game and even that's nowhere near the series peaks.

Read the opening paragraphs people ffs. That is not the score for the game, but for the upgrade value. Their original BotW score still stands.

At any rate what the hell is wrong with those screenshots? Why are they looking so blurry? Even my Switch 1 version looks better than that.

The new pro controller is a lot better than the old one, though. The stick quality alone is best in the market.

I don't understand how they weren't able to make such a modest looking game work in the first place.

It's too bad the Switch 2 is so expensive, just like PS5 and Xbox series X. I don't have money to buy any of these consoles, so maybe I'll just wait for Prime 4 and buy it for the Switch 1. After that I'm done with gaming I suppose.

No way it deserved the same score as BotW. SS is like 7.5/ 10.

I doubt the Switch 2 can handle GTA VI. I'm pretty sure we'll get RDR2, though.

Xenoblade 2 is a trash game, imo. The character designs are awful and the story is boring with weak main cast and even weaker villains. Otherwise the series is pretty much perfect! Xenoblade 3 and 1 are my favorite rpgs of all time.

If you want to cancel fall damage in TotK just upgrade the glide set. Otherwise it wouldn't be good. The physics of the game exists in order to make the world believable.

Somehow the same people aren't whining about cartoons that look a lot worse than this game.

But yeah, it looks phenomenal and open world karting game is kind of revolutionary.

I'm just gonna buy the Switch 1 version and possibly upgrade it if I can ever afford to Switch 2.

Not interested. Metroid Prime was the best game on the console and we already have the Prime Remaster. In addition Pikmin 1 and 2 and Super Mario Sunshine were already released for the Switch.

The two interesting games would be Prime 2 and F- Zero X, but that's about it.

Cool. It really gives this vibe of being the next generation Metroid Prime.

I'm pretty sure this cover was created by an actual artist. I think this is a great style for a Metroid game, because it follows the pattern of the earlier covers.

The best part of Turok 2 is its level design. Getting lost is the point. Complaining about it is like complaining about Super Metroid's level design.

Metroid Prime games have always ran at 60fps so I'm not sure why you're doubting it.

Nintendo knows that only FPS and racing games need to run at 60fps, which is why Mario Kart, F- Zero and Metroid Prime games always reach that level.

The "framerate" thing in that one boss looks like it's intentional. There's a slowing effect when the boss crashes on the floor.

Did you guys seriously think a pixel art game such as this would cause the Switch lose framerates? If that were the case BotW, Witcher 3, Dark Souls and all the others would run like 2 frames per second. This is not Super Nintendo you know.

Link's part is just the intro. It's probably a bit longer than the Ganon fight. They wouldn't mess up the gameplay by making the player switch between Zelda and Link.

I'm pretty sure the Guards of Hyrule cannot just throw their own princess in jail over some vague suspicion.

Gimmick for the sake of gimmick. Based on the intro, the story will be as barebones as it gets. Zelda go save Link from Ganon. The only difference is Link and Zelda switching places.

I can already predict the final battle. Ganon will also use echoes against Zelda. Wow, never saw that coming.

Then again, I don't really care about the top down games. Unless Yoshiaki Koizumi were to write them, but no. Nintendo's greatest writing talent has been forced to make Mario games for the rest of his life.

Paper Mario is just a Gamecube remaster. I don't think it should count as a new game.

That being said my vote goes to SMT Vengeance.

This is obviously not the next big Zelda game. The development time was like one year. It's just something for Zelda fans since the wait for the next main chapter will be long.

Personally I don't find the game appealing. Despite the fact EoW lends its whole look from Link's Awakening, I doubt this game will be nowhere near as engaging. I couldn't imagine a more boring way to start the game: Zelda is captured by Ganon the Cartoon Villain and Hero Link comes to save. The gimmick is Link falls in dark dimension and Zelda leads the show.

Compared to the mystical narrative of LA, the story here feels like a complete afterthought. Even the cover looks like a cheap photoshop job.

I just hope they don't make the puzzles too easy since there are many ways to solve them. Breaking the game is only fun when there are enough set limitations.

Developers have always been able to break their own games. Cheat engines and such are one example. Thing is, limitations have always existed for a good reason. A journey is not fun if you can just fly over the mountain (looking at TotK.) Same goes to building endless amounts of beds or boxes to climb up. This is not innovation. Aonuma is literally breaking the series, and he doesn't even realize it :/
