Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Are Already "Best Sellers" On The Switch eShop Charts

@Nao120 first off, congrats on the soon to be engagement! But secondly, I agree! I personally don't like Kirby Air Riders at all. When I see article and videos about it, you know what I do? Keep scrolling. I don't go into the comments and rip apart the game because I don't like the controls or the visuals, I just ignore it and click on a video about Splatoon instead. It's that easy, you guys!

As long as we can all be self-aware I don't mind XD

Seriously though, it's crazy how mad people get when others buy things. Like, yeah, I'm gonna complain for months about this release, but I'm not stopping anyone from buying it — and the reverse is true for controversial purchases I've made (Mario Galaxy, for one)

@Gatorclops sorry, I mistyped the ages haha! But I wasn't referring to the color names, I mean that the GBA had a filter to it that make the Mon look a certain way, but that's not present on the ports, meaning they have the wrong shades in the actual spritework. Not a big deal, per se, but annoying considering how low-effort these already are. Mainly, though, I was being facetious 😅

Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?

CaleBoi25

@Phelaidar that's totally fair, but most of the folks who complain aren't buying. I didn't complain about the Switch 2 price, or the MKWorld price, or the DKBanaza DLC price, because I bought them all and found them all satisfactory. This, though? I'm complaining, because I think it's a terrible value proposition.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?

Absolutely not. If there were to be a single added feature, maybe, but as it stands, this is worse quality than NSO. With NSO, I can play games online, I can rewind, I can have multiple save slots, I can play both versions within a single app.... This is objectively the worst form of this set they could have released.

  • I wholeheartedly agree! Multiple consoles (whether they be a Switch and Steam Deck or a PC and PS5 or any other combo) are a great way to cover the weaknesses of one another!
  • That's definitely true — personally, I'll be getting it for the single player content and local multiplayer games, but it's definitely strange that it's so restricted.
  • I can see where you're coming from, but I personally like the simplicity of the Switch ecosystem. That's not to say options would be bad, but I, for one, am nonplussed about it (For my fellow grammarians, I have finally given in and begun using the modern definition for that word. I'm sorry.).
  • Please do!

You had me until you pointed out that this would be great for Wind Waker, but on-the-go.... Now I'll be avoiding this on principle! 😂 I'm kidding, of course — even if I do hate Wind Waker, I won't pass on a good controller just because of the connotation. Still not for me, most likely: getting used to another button layout is never fun! Hopefully those who do back it end up satisfied, though!!

Re: Poll: So, Do You Prefer Hollow Knight Or Silksong?

CaleBoi25

I am getting tired of all the comment sections full of people stating that they don't like the subject of the article lol. It's hard to do, but as someone who doesn't like Kirby Air Riders, ya know what I do? I don't click on Kirby Air Riders articles or join forums about it!

Mini rant aside, I have yet to beat either, but being about 10 hours into HK and 1 hour into SS, I like HK more. I'm not sure why, though.

I understand that we are all a bunch of lonely gamers who can't go out and make real friends and whatnot, but good gosh you guys are odd. I get that having more singleplayer content would have been good, of course! But why are we acting like it's a sin for the game to be focused on multiplayer? It's a sports game, for crying out loud! You know, the type of thing made to be played with other humans? sigh....

Re: Talking Point: Age Of Imprisonment Could Inspire Next Zelda Game, Say Devs, But What Does That Mean?

CaleBoi25

Lovely read, it really gets me excited for the future of the series! Idk if @ChelseaReed will be a regular contributor, but she's got a lovely style!

I've been milling over how this statement from Mr. Aonuma could be intended. Taking this alongside the leaks suggesting some sort of "rifts" in reality, I wonder if perhaps it's referring to having multiple playable characters, as well? I doubt Link would be fully replaced, but perhaps the game will be split between multiple protagonists/playstyles! For example, Link could operate in the normal world, but go through a tear in reality and you instead play as Zelda, with unique capabilities and a different perspective on the story! Then the end of the story could tie it all together! It definitely could be exciting!
