  • Big muscles
  • A green tunic

Honestly, guys, that’s too easy. No Link has big muscles, and this game has multiple Links in various gear—so that leaves it between ace fighting skills and pointy ears, and only one of those sounds right given the context of “everything thus far in the application is cosmetic, and the game itself has a huge emphasis on it!”

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th July)

CaleBoi25

I got spoiled on a character in DKB, so I will be trying to roll credits today so I can at the very least not get spoiled on said individual's role! I am quite enjoying it so far!
I will also play some INK because I love lowering my times by a whole .01 second lol!
Of course, Paliawill be filling its usual slot as a wind-down game for whenever I have a moment.
And then, it's on to Mario Sports Mix with my siblings! It's been a few months, so we figured we'd dust it off.

Re: Review: Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 Wheel - Flawed, But Still Fun

CaleBoi25

Instead, these wheels are intended to be used by more casual (and perhaps younger) players who are concerned with having as good a time as possible and not setting the best possible lap times.

I was so confused because I thought that "having as good a time as possible" was referring to lap times... Only for the next line to contradict that! I tend to use a Wii Remote + Nunchuk on MKWii, and two JoyCon 2 with MKWorld, but I will say the Wii Wheel is still very fun!

Re: Best Donkey Kong Games Of All Time

CaleBoi25

@BAN I spent a solid ten second researching DK94 before realizing that was a typo haha! If I might ask, what makes a DK game "feel" like one, in your opinion? Thus far I think Bananza captures the feel very well, as DK makes sense destroying things. Plus, it's fun, so who cares! (I haven't finished it so no spoilers, please!)

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Bananza?

CaleBoi25

Currently giving it an 8. I think it is superb thus far, but I am on Sublayer 600 right now and want more challenge. The bosses are fun, but they are over too fast. I like the story and characters well enough (Poppy Kong my beloved), but other than the one mentioned it the parenthetical, none of them are ~amazing~ to me yet. Also, I don't have Assit Mode on, yet the game wants to tell me

[L] (hold) Find Your Way!

[L] (hold) Break the Seal!

[ZR] (hold) Aim and Throw!

And so on. I am 5ish hours into the game, Nintendo, I think I have a handle on the basics!
Once I roll the credits I will come back and update the score; whether that be positive or negative remains to be seen (or perhaps it will remain in place!).

Re: Poll: Has Donkey Kong Bananza Made You Feel Ill?

CaleBoi25

No problems for me, but I have yet to play it in a car so we will see how it goes when I do! That said, I have gyro on, and it is not working... Anyone know a fix? It is'nt the controllers, as they work find in Splatoon and TotK, but I am at my wits end!

Re: Crash Bandicoot Co-Creator Believes The Remakes "Botched" The Jump Mechanics

CaleBoi25

@Olliemar28

However, he notes that because the remakes don't implement the same control scheme in which the game would measure how long you pressed the jump button, thus adjusting the height of the jump accordingly.

This sentence makes no sense haha. Take out the "because" and it'll be all good though.

EDIT: It has been fixed, and in a different way than I suggested. The beauty of words!
