I already have the game preloaded, but after my sister and I play some co-op I will be loaning it to my friend in exchange for his copy of Expedition 33. I have a Switch 2 and DKB, he has a PS5 and E33, so it all works out nicely, and we are both super excited!!

I expected a negative review of the controller or something based on the title only to learn that it is a bad controller because you can't tear it to shreds easily? I am a tad confuzzled....

Calling it now, at least 47 people will call for boycotts "because this $70 game wasn't even made for Switch 2! If you buy it you are a Nintendo fanboy who will anything to please your corporate overlords!" But hey, just like with MKWorld, I am excited anyway! And hopefully like that game, it will be super fun!!

Used a pair on TotK and Mario Wonder a while back, but Im not too upset about this. It was inevitable, and honestly most of the time you can wait for a sale/buy used for equal or better deals!

@sketchturner Fair enough, but considering that I actively find myself groaning every time I move the camera, can't stand how slow the dialogue is, do not like the jumping, I'd say it's a pretty bad "menu" haha. I will continue it for a bit, but like I said, I just don't want to commit to 5 hours of it if the whole thing is going to be like this.

I dont mind either way, but on the topic of GCN games, I began Wind Waker the other day and need to know: does it pick up after the intro? Thus far I am having zero fun, if Im being honest, and I do not want to spend more time with the game if the whole thing is like this....

I understand why comments were disabled on the Canada NSO article, but I feel the need to mention that the title was very clibkbaity. 'Canadian NSO Prices to Rise' would have been more appropriate and less obviously trying to force readers to click on the full article.

I just hope these people don't expect a metacritic review to be what convinces Nintendo to change lol. I love the game so far, but apparently a vocal group doesn't. (Saying "group" because I really can't tell if it is the majority or the minority lol, they're just really loud)

@Solomon_Rambling never played it but from what I have seen, Cult of the Lamb might fit the bill for a cosy Roguelike so Id say your guess about a cosy horror game is possible--going back to my analogy, just like animation doesnt have to be for kids, cosy games arent exclusively "cute" either! I must say, this discussion has been a lovely online interaction, which is sadly becoming a rarity... Thank you!

@ozwally @Solomon_Rambling @dugan also true! I suppose “cosy game” is like “animation” in that ppl try to use it as a genre, when really it’s a style. For example, Into the Spiderverse is an animated Action movie, Tangled is an animated RomCom, etc; meanwhile, Animal Crossing is a cosy Life Sim, and there are also cosy Rhythm games, cosy Platformers… They’re all different, but are seen a certain way!

@dugan @Solomon_Rambling good question! I was obsessed with ACNL as a 13yo but when I bought ACNH at 16 I was bored instantly; I havent touched it in ages. Meanwhile, I cant put Palia down! That could really be an interesting Talking Point or evem a Feature--at the very least, a Poll!

I'm not one to hate on a company... usually. Forever Entertainment, though, is forever disallowed in my home lol

Personally I love the intermissions but if there is no way to select 3lap courses then this is annoying for sure.

I know it's unrelated to the game/article, but I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate that you always articulate your thoughts and even when you disagree with/dislike something, you are respectful and fairly positive about it!

But I love MK because of the stress. Not that I was buying Crossworlds anyway, but still!

Never played a Sports Story game, nor Blossom Tales, but by golly do I disagree with the rest. Sparks of Hope was a lovely game that I vastly preferred to the OG. TotK was just "better BotW" in my opinion: it didn't do much new, but was so much better that I can't go back. And while I love Wii Sports/Resort, Switch Sports is genuinely one of my favorite Switch games. I know people dislike the Sportsmates, but I loved their designs! And the gameplay was still super fun. I still hope for a Switch 2 Edition with Foosball, Pool, etc. added!!

I always love a good Kate article. No mention of crabs is a disappointment, but given the beautiful mockups I can't even be sad!

I did the same for a few minutes following the one that drags three coins behind it. They respawn quickly so it was not tough and might even be slower. Obviously it was super boring though so I will go ahead and just play normally!

@TownDarling As someone who adores the Deaf community and wants to learn ASL to begin interpreting, this wouldn't be coddling. Not only is this feature useful for many people who aren't Deaf, it isn't coddling to censor things.
