@Anti-Matter I think the big takeaway here is that everyone has their own preferences so what makes ACNH better for you might make it worse for someone else

I grew up on ACNL and had a literal obsession. I am talking "genuinely unhealthy to the point that I think my parents wouldn't have been wrong to get me into some form of therapy." I could name every villager, their personality, their coffee blend, and most of their quotes. I could tell you about every NPC and what they did. I could describe most of Dr. Sheunk's comedy bits, some of them verbatim. I talked about it to everyone (parents, siblings, friends, pastors, Walmart cashiers). It was bad. Then, ACNH came along. I refused to buy it for about 3 years, because I remembered how I had been with New Leaf and did not want to be that obsessed with anything ever again. It worked, I think: I still play New Horizons to this day, and am eagerly awaiting the 3.0 update, but I only boot it up occasionally, about 3 or 4 times a month. I can treat it as a game, rather than a second life (and one that I nearly valued more than my real life). So even though New Leaf had a stronger hold on me, New Horizons has a heathier relationship with me. But that's just my two cents

I find it odd that rereleases and remakes and remasters and multiplatform games are all here... Any chance NLife will make a Switch/Switch 2 exclusive GotY, with only brand new games listed?

Loved the article, but GOSH DARN IT JIM why is Thor 2 still the punching bag for jokes about bad MCU movies. I know I'm in the minority here, but I utterly adore it (and, even hotter take.... I think Thor 3 is a disaster. I am literally making a video essay explaining why I feel that way haha). I mean, when Secret Invasion exists, and even within the Thor continuity you've got the likes of Live and Thunder, there is no reason The Dark World should still be so utterly despised! @LikelySatan sadly, all I've got is a Wii and a Switch 2 (and the Wii is at my parents house lol). If they ever put it all on a cartridge, though, I will totally try it out!

Too bad we got the lamest "variant" of that GotG game, as I would certainly give it a shot otherwise.... I do love the Loki reference in the subtitle, though!

This is a great update! Not only can we have Blue Shell only races, but we can spam Kamek Orbs, too!! Honestly, a lot of QoL changes here, I'm glad to see it. Also... They added the titles of the songs, so... Shed Guy now needs to get new pics before we can get the OST on Nintendo Music?! Ughhhh! XD

Sounds like a fantastic game! I'm going to pass on it for now due to business in general, and my already over flowing backlog, but I definitely want to try it eventually! (I mean, I said the same about MP1R, and still haven't gotten around to that one, but hopefully this doesn't suffer the same fate...)

Oh, If love to do this! Unfortunately, my current job leaves me little time for such things, and given that I've recently begun my own YouTube channel, I'd rather focus on growing my audience there before trying (and, honestly, probably failing) on a larger platform.

@anoyonmus Absolutely! It's a great game on its own, and in fact, playing it without knowledge of TotK's story might even make certain aspects better!

I just began using Pikmik Bloom, and now I can see why people like the series. The Pikmin are so cute! But... Now I am afraid to try the main games, cuz I don't think I could handle my plant children dying! 😆

@Zeebor15 I wouldn't say price cuts are inevitable... Unlike Thanos, the Switch never got a price decrease, nor did its games.

@marandahir I actually did have a ton of SkyLanders as a kid, including the SwapForce line! I've since sold them (which, I'll be honest, I somewhat regret), but thanks for the suggestion nonetheless!

I would absolutely get similar characters (IE swappable figures) for that price, but since I'm personally not interested in Kirby Air Riders (or the series in general), I'll pass on these ones.

So, I've never played Slay the spire or Balatro... But I have played far too many games of VS. So, yes, VC will be an easy buy for me!

@Gatorclops I love Canadian accents, so I can deal with the unnecessary *U*s if it means the next game can give us some of that Northern America flavor!

@coolioam I believe @Dom_31 was saying that these outfits were nowhere near as bad as the One Piece costumes, though I suppose it's possible they were saying the two were equal.

@ArcanineLink Yes! I'm an American, myself, but I'd love to see localization split between the two big English-speaking groups. That would help give a bit more variety to the voice acting and dialogue, hopefully.

I'm excited! I have never seen either of the actors before, so I won't comment on them, but the fits are pretty good! I just wish Zelda's dress has something to break up the monotony of the blue - maybe a bit of gold, or even just leather. That said, it's still looking nice - and I like that they have both characters wearing the colors of their respective Triforce pieces.
