Much like MKW, this game has really neat concepts, but from what I have seen/played, they don't execute them particularly well.

The scariest part is that I can't tell that these are AI (maybe that's due to my phone's small screen, but maybe not). AI is getting better and better, and people are caring less and less... The end of this road is not looking like a nice place to be.

Oh, wow! I saw this at the store yesterday but thought about snagging it, but I need to plan out a purchase that big haha... Now it looks like I'll also have to budget for a circuit board...!

Odd, they've never done a full-on reused theme - usually there's at least a small change made. I think I will be Team Zombies. I know, the question is which would make the best friend, buuuuut I just watch Marvel Zombies and has so much fun with it that I think I can look past their many flaws.

Oh, sounds nice! Personally I never bothered with PSwitches and the like, I just toodle around. But it's a good change for those who want to do it!

I want to get a capture card of some kind, but after the whole debacle with the Switch 2 launch I personally am going to pass on supporting Genkinin any way, unless it can't be helped. So with that being said, anyone have suggestions as to another brand to look into?

I am at long last playing Undertale, it's pretty good! I am also continuing to enjoy Palia's ranching update, and as always getting in some games of Switch Sports. Party games are heavily featured, actually, since my cousins and siblings and I all got together, so we are playing MarioKart World and Smash Ultimate a lot! Also, Splatterbot - very fun little game!

Not adding the entire soundtrack, but instead only bits that have appeared in promotional material, suggests (to me at least) that they still consider this game new enough that putting more would be "spoilers" which miiiiiight also be why they didn't do MKWorld DLC yet?

@JimNorman not to nitpick, but while I get being surprised by the Booster Course Pass announcement (who wasn't, after all), Happy Home Paradise came to New Horizons at the end of a consistent update cycle. I understand being caught off guard by that, though. Side Order, on the other hand, was announced literally before the game released! I don't see how that was a shock. Anyway, nice review, I think I agree with the 7/10. I do think if you picture it as 5 bucks for the Island and 15 for the game mode, it's somewhat more bearable.

I want to start by complimenting @Ryu_Niiyama for putting out such a clear, neutral statement and sticking with it. Even I had started with that, the moment I got a disagreeable reply I would have tripped and fallen down the "you're a hater" hole lol! So kudos to you!
I definitely agree that there are issues, but unfortunately they aren't particularly easy to circumvent. If coverage is ever expanded, that will be fantastic, but I have my doubts as to whether that is something we can actually expect anytime soon.

I mean, I am glad they are doing SOMETHING, but i am still absolutely mindblown that we haven't gotten any DLC announcements yet. I will definitely play in a US tournament if there is one - I stink at the game, but it's fun!

I would have invited her in for Mario Party, but that probably would have ended in a breakup so clearly I am not so good with romance.

Please tell me you didn't just say that folks who buy this are cultic fans.

The new mode is pretty fun! I like being able to go to DK Isle. Hopefully we get a crossover with MKWorld soon, though!

@N00BiSH I think we must be opposites - all the other changes bugged you but not me, and vice versa here! 🤣 We are doomed to disagree. I do second you point as to being confused on the "reasoning." Why did this one swap? It makes no sense - especially since, iirc, the MPJamboree S2E had the old VA.

@NintendoWife @thenikdavies @NFrealinkling (and @others-who-are-saying-they-wantwd-single-player-content) it seems that there will be new levels/story, as well. The "main" draw is the entirely new mini games, but there are more levels coming as well - and Koopaling boss fights!!

@N00BiSH I shoulda known you'd mention that 😂 But actually, I noticed two. It is so jarring. I didn't mind for Mario because, yes, Charles was iconic in the role, but Mario didn't say much more than "Whaoo!" Same with his cohorts - so their voice changes can be ignored. But the Talking Flower literally is named after his voice. It's super odd to me hearing a different voice - makes me wonder what happened.
