While playing Silksong, I am simultaneously grinning ear-to-ear at how cute it is, weeping at how beautiful it is, and pounding my head on my desk at my umpteenth attempt at a boss fight. If this game isn't a 10/10, then I don't know what is.

I think we'd be okay if Nintendo left Super Mario Run off of this list 😂

I'm around 15 hours in. It's one of the best platformers I've ever played. Honest to goodness, it's a masterpiece.

I feel like I'm already getting priced out of this generation, and it just started. For now, I think I'm just going to stick to Silksong.

Personally, I think this is so weird and wacky, and I absolutely love it. Yeah, it's expensive, but who cares. It's incredibly niche that most people won't buy it. I think Nintendo knows most people aren't interested, and I love that they're making it anyway.

I got a part in the game that started to break me. I had my head in my hands. I don't know what it was about this one battle, but it took me around 30 attempts. Then I did it. Oh my gosh, what a feeling. This game is pretty much as good as games can get.

I'm watching the State of Play right now. Oh my gosh, this looks so boring. hahaha!! It's just Uncharted. It looks like every other third-person action-adventure game. I couldn't care less.

Just pulled this video up on my 4k monitor. Wow. That's a HUGE upgrade. If Kirby wasn't so boring for me personally, I would pick this up.

@MoldyPasta DK is incredible. I agree with you on that, but the frame rate is undeniably rough. That isn't really like Nintendo to release a game on brand new hardware that gives the appearance that it's already outdated.

@UltimateOtaku91 I agree, they have a pretty stacked release schedule, but the lack of actual release dates this late into the year seems off to me.

I would expect... nothing? Nintendo seems to be caught on their back foot to start off this generation, and I'm not sure why. Very few of their upcoming games have release dates. DK Bananza and Mario Kart World are great games, but both of those games could have used more time in the oven. There are rumors that the Partner Showcase had notably missing games. 3rd party devs still don't have dev kits. It just seems a little off right now. They may do something, but I'm not getting my hopes up in the slightest.

I do agree with this article, which is funny because I feel like this is the reason DK Bananza got a 9/10 from Nintendo Life instead of a 10/10 because the review focused so heavily on comparing it to Super Mario Odyssey.

Rainbow Road made my heart so happy

I own both a Switch 2 and a Steam Deck, and I learned very quickly that one does not replace the other. Switch 2 has the convenience of console gaming in spades over Steam Deck. However, the flexibility of customizing game settings is so much better on Steam Deck. Case in point, I've been playing SMT 5 Vengence on my Steam Deck. I tried it on Switch 2, and it was horrendous. It was upscaling from a terribly low resolution, stretching it across the 1080p screen. However, on Steam Deck, I have it all settings on high with it running at a locked 60fps. At the same time, Steam Deck can't hold a candle to the experience of playing DK Bananza both handheld or docked. They both systems aren't perfect, but they're both amazing, and one hasn't replaced the other for me.

Mario Kart World is both a great game and an unfinished game.

I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and it runs FLAWLESSLY. Fun fact, this game ran at 1080p downscaled to 720p in handheld on Switch 1. On Switch 2, without an update, it runs at native 1080p handheld, with much faster load times without ever dropping a frame.
