I'll say it, it's too expensive. $40 is a lot, especially when they're competing for our money during one of the best years in gaming. $20, or even $30 would have been a much more compelling price tag.
I love how other gaming news outlets are like, "Will they/won't they buy Call of Duty," or "Gamers are furious that a game that looks like Assassin's Creed 37 won't run at 60 fps." And then you come here and people are actually having fun playing video games.
@Dpishere Is it the right price, though? I mean, as of right now Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the same price as this game. This game looks like it could probably have been $5–$10 DLC for the first game... and the first game should have just come packed in for free with the Switch.
Wait, you can get Gold Coin points for physical versions of a game!? I had no idea. Dang it! How long is it until the expiration period is over for a game?
I will pick this up for sure, but I have WAAAAAY too many games that I'm trying to play before TotK comes out... because that'll basically take up the rest of my year. Hahaha!
I walked into this trailer not wanting to have my hopes too high, but this trailer shattered my expectations and I kind of lost my effing mind. I am SOOOOO stoked for this game.
I want this Switch. I want it so bad, but I'm saving up now for the Switch 2, and it's too late in the console generation for me to justify this purchase.
I lost my effing mind when Link fused that rock to a stick. My mind exploded with the possibilities that are now available. Nintendo has a masterpiece on their hands. I have no doubt.
About. Effing. Time. I was emulating Sin & Punishment: Star Successor on my Steam Deck last night and it was great until, out of the blue, the frame rate became a complete and unfixable cluster-eff. I'm so stoked to see Dolphin potentially making strides in the right direction... now if only Citra would get their act together, especially now that the eShop is gone.
I have a fun demo story from last week, actually. I've been on the fence with Metroid: Dread since its release, but I didn't know that it had a free demo until last week. The demo is only about 20-ish minutes long, but I accidentally did a sequence break (no idea how) and I got to play the first hour of the game. Those extra 40 minutes completely hooked me. Needless to say, I bought it that same night. Hahaha!!
I know most people didn't play this game, but Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, for me, is brilliant and criminally underrated. The level design is masterfully crafted, the boss battles were intense, and it was so much fun from start to finish. Most people passed this one because it used the drums, but my goodness, they missed out. What a game.

@sanderev Emulators are legal. Downloading ROMs is not. Dolphin is fine.
