Couldn't get Mew in the original without spending money on going to a promotion or a cheat device, either (until someone figured out the fly glitch many years later). Most mythicals have been that way until very recently.

There's no content you're missing, no additional rewards for having one, every pokedex ever has always been considered complete without Mythicals. Having one doesn't make the game any easier really.

No, you don't have to get the poke ball plus. You can also get one in pokemon go, which is time consuming but also free.

@rjejr themes in Diablo 3 aren't too bad, though perhaps slightly darker than Amalur.

The "mature" rating comes from some demons having bare breasts, and the descriptions of others being nightmarish. As an example, some scorpion-like demons are actually skinned humans whose skeletal structure has been mutilated to look like scorpions.
There's also one major story scene that implies some pretty gruesome violence.

Most of this is not really noticeable during gameplay, but demons do die gloriously bloody deaths sometimes.

It's consistent cross platform this way. Not that big of a deal, really.

Voice chat through the phone app.

For all intents and purposes, this is what Playstation and Xbox offer (with their service with some variation on how) for one third the price (or less).

Every single game shows up with nearly equal visibility. You can filter by genre, you can search, there's a top selling list, there's a coming soon list, there's frequent news articles about different types of games, two indie showcase videos in the last month alone. What exactly do you want? Sony only last week FINALLY fixed their complete disaster of a search function after a full decade.

@dBackLash do you have data to support this or are you just guessing? Not sure "free promotion" of a game that "only those who have played them all" actually play does anything useful for them.

@bitleman bit of a different atmosphere that's hard to put a finger on. Not quite as dark and gritty. Same gameplay style, though spells and progression work a bit differently.

The big publishers being exceptions (EA, Activision), most game developers don't have large profit margins, so I'm generally happy to pay what they ask.

I'm not sure there's any real reason to do MK9. Just add a couple new cups with a mix of new and remade tracks. It's a near-perfect game.

@BigKing "so terrible it's disgusting" is an exaggeration. The premise quite literally is round alien blobs invading a blocky world. I'd say it fits that perfectly. It may be nothing special, but it's not ET-level bad or Custer's Revenge level offensive.

@daveh30 I must've blinked. A new feature (even if already announced) is a bit different than announcing an old game, in which case the article is being a bit dishonest for dramatic effect.

Just keep in mind Nintendo does quarterly(ish) Directs, and this is just one of them. Basically all of the other companies show off everything at E3 while we likely have a surprise or 3 ahead of us before the year is out.
