Couldn't get Mew in the original without spending money on going to a promotion or a cheat device, either (until someone figured out the fly glitch many years later). Most mythicals have been that way until very recently.
There's no content you're missing, no additional rewards for having one, every pokedex ever has always been considered complete without Mythicals. Having one doesn't make the game any easier really. This is crying for the sake of crying.
@KIREEK I know Kireek is an NPC HUcast in several quests in PSO1, but I also knew of a player who used that name (all caps) back then on GC. Are you he? My main was called Iyanden (HUcaseal).
@rjejr themes in Diablo 3 aren't too bad, though perhaps slightly darker than Amalur.
The "mature" rating comes from some demons having bare breasts, and the descriptions of others being nightmarish. As an example, some scorpion-like demons are actually skinned humans whose skeletal structure has been mutilated to look like scorpions. There's also one major story scene that implies some pretty gruesome violence.
Most of this is not really noticeable during gameplay, but demons do die gloriously bloody deaths sometimes.
"Cloud save debacle"? It's hardly a debacle. It's probably not even on the radar of most Switch owners.
"Most Switch owners" have previously owned all these NES games? Are you certain? I haven't. I've been playing and have bought hundreds of Nintendo games since 1990.
You know what you're getting:
Online play for paid games.
20 NES games at launch, more over time.
Cloud saves
Special deals and offers for members.
Voice chat through the phone app.
For all intents and purposes, this is what Playstation and Xbox offer (with their service with some variation on how) for one third the price (or less).
Your post gets filed under "WAAAAAAHHHH of the Day"
@Yasume they've already delayed it by nearly a year, I can't imagine it would be too rocky considering the important part (online play) already works fine.
@DreamerDC do you have a fix? I see no problem with the eshop at all.
Every single game shows up with nearly equal visibility. You can filter by genre, you can search, there's a top selling list, there's a coming soon list, there's frequent news articles about different types of games, two indie showcase videos in the last month alone. What exactly do you want? Sony only last week FINALLY fixed their complete disaster of a search function after a full decade.
@dBackLash do you have data to support this or are you just guessing? Not sure "free promotion" of a game that "only those who have played them all" actually play does anything useful for them.
I doubt Nintendo would crack down on this it if it didn't make sense financially.
@bitleman bit of a different atmosphere that's hard to put a finger on. Not quite as dark and gritty. Same gameplay style, though spells and progression work a bit differently.
The big publishers being exceptions (EA, Activision), most game developers don't have large profit margins, so I'm generally happy to pay what they ask.
@BigKing "so terrible it's disgusting" is an exaggeration. The premise quite literally is round alien blobs invading a blocky world. I'd say it fits that perfectly. It may be nothing special, but it's not ET-level bad or Custer's Revenge level offensive.
Yes, digital is steadily more attractive, but 2022? Not happening. Still buy half of my games physical so I can, you know, trade with friends or trade them in, and in some cases maybe even re-sell myself down the road.
@daveh30 I must've blinked. A new feature (even if already announced) is a bit different than announcing an old game, in which case the article is being a bit dishonest for dramatic effect.
Just keep in mind Nintendo does quarterly(ish) Directs, and this is just one of them. Basically all of the other companies show off everything at E3 while we likely have a surprise or 3 ahead of us before the year is out.

@MsJubilee I see. Still, waaah of the day.

Re: Guide: How To Unlock Mew In Pokémon: Let's Go On Nintendo Switch
No, you don't have to get the poke ball plus. You can also get one in pokemon go, which is time consuming but also free.
"WAHHHHH of the day" material here.
Re: Video: New Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Clip Promotes More Fighters, Stages And Fun
@ItsOKToBeOK saw that earlier. It's kinda scary just how often the lyrics match up with what's on screen.

Haven't we known this for months?

Re: Video: Even Menu Controls Are Challenging In The Switch Version Of Dark Souls
It's consistent cross platform this way. Not that big of a deal, really.
Re: NBA Playgrounds Is No Longer Available To Purchase From The Switch eShop
I enjoyed the first one, but a move like that ensures I will never buy 2

How is Monster Hunter that low? It's one of the very best games on the system.

No, it's an accurate statement.

@Mordridakon Yup. Very recently changed. Finally.

@DreamerDC yup. Both may as well be turds smeared on a wall.

"Non-profit type releases" can still reduce profit of the IP's owner.
@Yorumi Mario Maker did give the Mario keys to the player better than pretty much any other developer ever.

Would buy.
Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Keep Releasing DLC For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?
I'm not sure there's any real reason to do MK9. Just add a couple new cups with a mix of new and remade tracks. It's a near-perfect game.

Why do people like those things?
