Re: Chained Echoes Dev Is Filing A Lawsuit Against Physical Distributor

Limited Run Games is actually the best on par with Super Rare Games. It's ridiculous to even consider to compare them with a scam company like First Press Games, just because you don't like their business model. They are quite transparent with their release schedules and update frequently if any changes occur.

I collect quite a lot and have been dealing with almost every limited print company. For anyone interested here is a list of who to trust and who not to:

Limited Run Games = Green flag
Super Rare Games = Green flag
Red Art Games = Green flag
Pix'n'Love = Green flag
Forever Limited = Green flag
GameFairy = Green flag
Iam8Bit = Green flag
Fangamer = Green flag
Strictly Limited Games = Yellow flag
1PrintGames = Yellow flag
Premium Edition Games = Red flag
First Press Games = Jolly Roger flag

Green = No issues
Yellow = Have received many orders, but some has taken several years and are still pending.
Red = Never received anything. Pending orders for several years.
Jolly Roger = Pure criminals.

This is not limited to Chained Echoes. First Print Games has been scamming it's customers for over 5 years. I have a pre-order as far back as 2020 with them. It's absolutely crystal clear that they are deliberately stealing the customers money with no intention of ever releases anything beyond the first few games they released over 5 years ago. Apparently they sold so badly that they could not fund the next released. So they try to fund their releases by taking new pre-orders in for new games, which then cannot be funded. It's a never ending circle and 5 years ago, they realized that it was actually easier just to pocket all incoming payments and ghost everyone.
No one had the courage to file a lawsuit until now, so it is great news that Matthias Linda chose to do so.
At this point all the customers whose money was stolen, just wants to see First Press Games and their owner get destroyed. It's no longer about receiving the games. That will never happen. They just want to see justice.

Re: Review: Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake (Switch 2) - Great Atmosphere But Never Quite Comes Into Focus

@Mitch

You don't seem to mention that this game originally from 2003, already saw a remake in 2012 for the Nintendo Wii.
I would have liked to hear what you thought of that, as I find it quite important to compare the 2012 remake to this new remake.

The 2012 remake had some of the best graphics for a Wii game and the atmosphere were spot on. I don't think yet another remake was necessary. I miss this comparison from you.

That it is coming at all is fantastic. I thought they were going to screw us with only the double Soul Reaver release.
This one wraps up the entire series... or does it? Probably too late to hope for a continuation of this epic series. Best narative in video games ever. I would settle for a ground up remake of the first game though (Blood Omen).

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake's Sequels Will Have "Exactly The Same" Gameplay As Other Consoles

I wouldn't call Rebirth an open world game. I reckon the definition of open world is that you are free to head where ever you'd like. That is not the case. No main entry FF game is open world and thank goodness for that. It's just sad that the battle system has been completely destroyed. Metaphor and Clair Obscur showed us that turned based jrpgs still holds up. No need for a dull button mashing action oriented take as FF has sadly become.

I'd rather not follow a statement with no context than spend time researching if there might be any meat to it. One would assume that the statement bounds from anger due to a past experience, which suggests that the writer wants to warn others from throwing cash at the publisher. Yet no willingness to back up any claims further suggests that it might not be that bad after all.
