Up yours Nintendo. All My amiibos keep having no purpose and you keep making me feel like an idiot for purchasing them in the first place. So much potential, yet no game has ever come close to harvest that potential. One should think you of all companies could make something special of these.
I played it a few times back on the C64. Didn't like it. It was not a good game compared to the ton of great games the system had to offer. The sequel however, Super Wonder Boy in Monster Land, was on another level. A really good game, that I strongly recommend. Not sure it was any good on other platforms though. The graphics style on Sega looked terrible compared to the way they went with the C64 version.
I was disappointed by Resident Evil 4 back then. I'm sure I still will be. I never liked this new take on the series. The survival horror genre died with this game. IMO Resident Evil: Code Veronica was the best in the series. For those who didn't know, Code Veronica was original supposed to be RE3.
Before you go apeshit. This is my opinion. You are entitled to a different one
I like Simon's Quest, no doubt from a nostalgic point of view.
I remember as a kid returning the cartridge for repair, as I figured it must have contained an error. Eventually it was just a matter of crouching down for 10 long seconds holding an orb in front of a dead wall with no signs at all. Silly me... why didn't I think of such an "obvious" approach. Gaming today with internet and all that... it's hardly gaming at all, is it?
@ermzzz You could say that about any game. There's always one person, who might find it useful. But is one enough? No. There are too many games on this system. Therefore you should only review games which hold at least some form of interest by the masses. If there ever was a great excuse to defend why the majority of games receives an 8 on this site, it's because Nintendolife actively choose to review the better games available, ignoring games nobody cares about, which they should. It's a sensible thing to do. Would you care to see a review of Windstorm? I think not.
Don't get me wrong. I am thankful for all the hard work you guys do, reviewing so many games. But why in the name of a** would you waste valuable time reviewing games like these? There are so many other games which screams for a nice review done by you guys.
I don't get all the love for FF12. Of all the FF games I think maybe only FF15 was worse in my own humble opinion. My thoughts are mostly based on how much meat is in the story and antagonist.
In the same genre, I thought Grandia II on the Dreamcast was a much better game. At least the fighting was great. I recall the fighting in Skies of Arcadia mostly being tedious and annoying.
Yeah well. It's not impossible that a game eventually gets pulled from the eshop. It has happened for plenty of games during the Xbox Live Arcade era. So it's not 100% safe just to keep waiting for a hypothetical physical release.
I hope this comment does not cause panic to those with FOMO. It's a pain buying every game twice, which seems to be the case in this time and era for those of us preferring physical games.
With ASSmodee involved we can only assume this version will be way worse than the now 10 year old Xbox Live Arcade version from Big Huge Games..... exactly as was the case with Carcassonne.
The ASSmodee team should walk in line with all of us shouting shame.
What you said about limited run is purely wrong. It's easy to get physical games. They are not printed in a limited number forcing you to act quick. They are open for pre-orders for usually at least two weeks. During that timeframe the quantity are unlimited.
Why would they think it was possible to cash in on toys-to-life for only one game? To buy things like that, they need to have a future purpose as well.
To be honest I think the game is poor on other platforms as well. Not in terms of appearance. It just does not seem a good racing game is all. The handling and the way the cars drift and turns is below par compared to a ton of other racing games past or present.
I'd much rather dust of the ol' Gamecube. So many great racing games on that platform. And if you're going to the basement in the first place, why not grab the Dreamcast to satisfy that racing itch while you're at it?
@Xaessya I did succeed installing it though. My free 30 day trial ran out fighting the first enemy I encountered…. I think it was a bee. Ohh god, that game was horrible.
@Xaessya Ohh yeah, now that you mention it It was indeed a world of pain just installing it. That entire PSO Online or whatever it was called was just an incredibly poor online service.
@Quinnsdaddy11 Thanks, but I find beat'em ups boring. I once thought I was the greatest at Street Fighter 2. I was back in the 90's... at least at my local grill. Competing online I got my ass handed to me, so I have permanently raised the white flag on this genre.

The NES version of Probotector was what I played as a kid. That's not in here. Lame.

Come on, you don't make friends with salad. Where's the meat?
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Finds Assassin's Creed III Remastered On Switch "Hard To Recommend"
No worries. It's one of the most overrated game series of all time. So boring.
Re: Review: Redout - A Slightly Rough Port Of An Otherwise Decent Wipeout Wannabe
Why can't we just have Wipeout?
A new entry in the Extreme-G series would also be cool.

Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it.
All in all, I might give this one a go. There are some elements of this game that entices me.

Yeah, very weird conclusion by Stephanie.
I watched a video of the gameplay and I've rarely seen a game so repetitive as this one.

Re: Here Are The Top 30 Best-Selling eShop Games Of April 2019 (North America)
I don't understand the point of these lists.
Some games get in there just because they are on offer. Some of those never would have otherwise.
I remember a terrible game hitting the top 10 monthly sales, just because it had a 90% discount, making it basically free.
Re: Review: Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - This Is How You Handle A Remaster
Too bad the story in this one is so poor.
Re: Bayonetta 3's Design Process Will Be Different To Past Titles, Says PlatinumGames' Inaba
Kudos to Bayonetta for actually forcing me through the entire game against all odds, since the genre is not my cup of tea to put it mildly.
I can imagine the experience is breathtaking for fans of the genre. I can certainly see why it deserves all the praise it gets.

The original D/Generation on AmigaCD32 was pretty cool.
Does anyone know if these two new games are any good? If yes, which one should you go with? The new original... or the new new?
