Re: Best Of 2021: Remember When People Thought Switch Would Fail?

Aneira

I was one of those who thought Switch would fail.
There were lots of rumors of a powerful dedicated console, which I would have loved as I neither like or use the handheld. I only play on the big screen, so the reveal of a hybrid didn't entice me at all.

Eventually a ***** load of great games were released and I came to accept it and eventually love it. Still don't use the handheld mode though.

Re: Poll: What's The Worst Legend Of Zelda Game?

@mjhopkins81
Zelda II also ranks on my top five. But what is a top five anyway? I understand "best Zelda games" arguably should be a somewhat objective take. Maybe my top five consists of "Fondest Zelda memories" and surely Zelda II is there since it was my first Zelda experience back when the game was new. Old games will probably only be on a persons top five if said person had the experience hands on at that time and place in history. Nostalgia will and should always be a part of one's personal list.

My point here should sum up why voting in general will always have an odd outcome. It's like casting a vote for best Star Wars film.

I reckon Elder Scrolls VI was rumoured in the works back in 2016 or maybe even the year before. An official announcement didn't happen until 2018, but it might well have been in the works for over 5 years now. So it's not unsual. Just stupid to announce something with more than 1 year until actual release.

@GKO900

It's not really the gameplay that made World. The gameplay was mainly what people was bitching about. You only know if you have played former games. What made World was the fact that it was on a dedicated home console and not a handheld, so that graphics and power could finally lift the game to what the others could not.
