I played FF7 back when it released. It was massive and the best game I've ever played at that place in time. It also happened to be my first experience with a Final Fantasy game. I bought FF8 straight after and that was no where near the same delightful experience I had with FF7.
The funny thing is though, when I finally played FF6... I think 2010 maybe... so many years after it's release. Dated graphics etc. I still felt... even in 2010... that FF6 was a better game. To this day it still ranks as my favorite in the entire series.
(Ps... I like the FF13 trilogy and I hate FF15. Different strokes for different folks, as they say)
I played Fifa yesterday (22) for the first time since Fifa 15 (which was actually a great Fifa entry). How did they manage to ruin a perfectly fine footie game so much? It's beyond embarrassing. It was zero fun. Dead zero. I'd rather tend to the garden or clean someone elses car than play that again.
Mario Strikers looks like the best football game we can hope for these days. And it's not even a real football game. Says it all.
@Shambo That's not quite how their limited print works. It's not a fixed amount. It's an open preorder which means quantities are in fact not limited but unlimited until the preorder window closes. At that point the amount is fixed and sent for manufacture at Nintendo. The more copies they sell, the more money they make.
The pros for this model is that everyone can get a copy opposed to the model Super Rare Games uses.
The cons for this model is you won't get your game shipped anytime soon. Most likely between 9-12 months after you have paid.
@Abeedo Agree. One should think they could easily afford to have a distributing office in Europe for their customers to avoid the massive taxing fees for shipping overseas. Should generate enough extra sales to make a profit.
@Sonos Oh, it was meant as a joke. Didn't know you were actively looking to get offended. I love Rise myself. I just don't see the point in pre-ordering. It's not like a digital game can't be purchased on the day of release. If there were a discount for pre-ordering it would make sense.
I hope we see a lot more new and/or returning monsters besides the 9 which we know about at this point.
A usual rule of thumb for a Monster Hunter G-Rank expansion is about 20-30 new monsters on top of base game.
Also we really, I mean really!... need some good siege battles. Nothing comes close to the greatness of Jhen Mohran from 3U. Rise is lacking those kind of quests.
@iLikeUrAttitude I think you'll see people shifting toward lobbies as soon as G-Rank quests gets too tough. You only want to fail a quest so many times before you look for a lobby that focuses on a specific quest/monster which means people are better prepared.
@Anachronism My first experience was Tri and I quickly switched to 3 Ultimate, when that was released. I also liked the underwater segments. Dire Miralis was my first encounter with one of the Black Dragons. That was partially underwater and a fun fight. I especially miss that one.
I find it odd that anyone is surprised by these discoveries. Heck, I'd be surprised if only a few of these cases popped up. This is not a problem limited to the games industry. It's an overall issue that happens on a lot of work places around the globe regardless of the line of work.
FIFA has sucked since FIFA 15. EA has butchered the video game sports genre. If there were one company who needed to be bought out by Microsoft if was EA. I hope to wake up one day and they are gone, so we can finally have good football games again made by companies who care.
I will be overjoyed if they remake Code Veronica. A great entry in the mainline and a direct sequel to RE2. It was actually supposed to be labeled RE3, until Sony inisted on getting a trilogy for the PS1. Explains why RE3 is quite weak in comparison to the other entries of the tank control era (or proper RE survival horror IMO).
@RCMADIAX But they weren't YOUR games were they? They were freeware and you basically just copy/pasted in order to make money. And then you went crazy and flooded the eshop. I liked your own physics puzzle game. Don't remember the name. You should have believed more in yourself and try to bring quality rather than a quick sorry dollar.
Velkommen til NLife Felix. Nice to see a fellow Dane take the spot. With a Pink Floyd poster in the background you obviously have taste for the better things in life. Thus working for NLife makes perfect sense.
I don't believe MP4 will release on the current Switch hardware. The wow effect will not be there while oppositions next gen consoles has settled meanwhile.
MP4 could be a launch title on new hardware 2 years from now I imagine.
I don't get all the hate for the Wii U. I thought it was a fine console with a fair amount of quality games. It even played Wii Games, so in that regards, certainly a better console than the Wii.
I was one of those who thought Switch would fail. There were lots of rumors of a powerful dedicated console, which I would have loved as I neither like or use the handheld. I only play on the big screen, so the reveal of a hybrid didn't entice me at all.
Eventually a ***** load of great games were released and I came to accept it and eventually love it. Still don't use the handheld mode though.
@mjhopkins81 Zelda II also ranks on my top five. But what is a top five anyway? I understand "best Zelda games" arguably should be a somewhat objective take. Maybe my top five consists of "Fondest Zelda memories" and surely Zelda II is there since it was my first Zelda experience back when the game was new. Old games will probably only be on a persons top five if said person had the experience hands on at that time and place in history. Nostalgia will and should always be a part of one's personal list.
My point here should sum up why voting in general will always have an odd outcome. It's like casting a vote for best Star Wars film.

You are absolutely right. Being able to spend crowns on costumes was the sole thing that motivated me and brought meaning to the game.
