Re: Hideki Kamiya Shares Irritation At Speculation Over Bayonetta 3

I reckon Elder Scrolls VI was rumoured in the works back in 2016 or maybe even the year before. An official announcement didn't happen until 2018, but it might well have been in the works for over 5 years now. So it's not unsual. Just stupid to announce something with more than 1 year until actual release.

It's not really the gameplay that made World. The gameplay was mainly what people was bitching about. You only know if you have played former games. What made World was the fact that it was on a dedicated home console and not a handheld, so that graphics and power could finally lift the game to what the others could not.

It was indeed a selfish arrogant idea, which nobody wanted besides the big dukes themselves. It was only about the money and totally undermined all that football stands for in it's beauty. That David, although tiny as it is, always has a chance to take out Goliath. They tried to destroy that.
These 12 clubs has damaged their reputation and it does not look like the fans are forgiving so easily.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter Rise - A New Apex For Capcom's Beastly Franchise

So... I have now put in between 50-100 hours in Rise. And although it does seem like one of the best Monster Hunter games in the series, I have one major complaint - and I'm disappointed that the review mentions nothing of it. Maybe the reviewer hasn't really played other games in the series to full extend or maybe he is just not that skilled.

Anyway... the major complaint is that the game is WAY TOO EASY. It's beyond ridiculous. Taking down monsters takes around 5-10 minutes compared to older games in the series which would take in comparison 4 times as long.
Monster Hunter games is supposed to be hard or at least not easy. It is supposed to require skill and forces you to pay attention at all times. I don't feel that's the case here. I have yet never experienced a quest abandoned cause of 3 faints. When a game is too easy, you don't feel rewarded when you succeed a hunt.

I'd like to know your opinion on this matter. There's no way I can be the only one with this feeling.

In that case well played. Your opinion is obviously very valid. We all have different ways of enjoying a gaming experience. For me, the story is everything. I started with VII all those years ago and was blown away. The story was something special that I had never experienced before. I followed up with VIII and was very disappointed. Sure if you like your odd love story, but it lacked tension and lots more. Poor sequel to the series. I dropped out due to the fact that I owned other systems than Playstation and played the former on PC, so didnt play another FF game until I purchased an overpriced copy of FF6 for SNES. That was perhaps my greatest FF experience of all time. It was magical. Everything about it. I would love to see a modern remake of that one.
I also own 4 on SNES but havent gotten to it yet. Maybe I should do it soon. A few years ago I was given a pink Playstation 2 at my birthday so that I could experienve FF XII. Im still not sure if their intension was to mock me as I have always deliberately avoided Sony consoles. I played through it and was somewhat disappointed at my friends praisel. You see, when you have played through VI and VII, you come to expect too much of the series. I play them cause I dont like reading books, but want the same powerful storytelling experience. XIII trilogy I played through and actually enjoyed and Im not sure why. A lot of things I disliked, but overall I enjoyed the experience and even thouhg the story was somewhat weak, it kept me interested through the lore. I liked it much more than XV, so when everyone else was putting XIII down, my expectations for XV could nothing but rise.
Im holding back on FF7 Remake until the whole trilogy is released. Im sure I will enjoy it. Dont know why so many talk about VII being overhyped. If you didnt experience the game around its initial release, of cause you will feel its overhyped. When you see graphics from another age you need the nostalgia to be able to enjoy it I believe. It will be interesting to the what they come up with for XVI. I just feel they need better writers.

Re: Round Up: The Monster Hunter Rise Reviews Are In

@Ludovsky
I welcome Chameleos. I've never played handheld and Tri was my first introduction to the series (loved 3U). My first encounter was in GU which I for some reason had a better experience with than World. Probably to do with there being far more content in GU. I also felt world was a step back compared to GU where I've just gotten used to the Hunter Arts. Mobility felt far worse in World. It did get better down the line though. It could also be because I'm a GS wielder. Anyway... Chameleos was fun and felt different to most other fights.
I still dream of a return of Jhen Mohran, although I'm aware I'm short of support there. For me it was one of the better large monster fights. I really hope there are some good ones in Rise. (No spoilers please). Zorah Magdaros was boring.

I dig what you're getting at with adding to low rank. But I'm not sure it will do much good for current hunters, since you're over powered. I didn't even know you could transfer your save game from Tri to 3U. It must have been exclusively to handheld as Wii > Wii U seems impossible.

Good luck friday. It's my first pre-order in years. Never understood the point. Now I do
