Zelda II was a great gaming experience back then and it still holds up as a great 2D adventure game to this day. This is fact regardless of there being "better" Zelda games.

So are you saying that the file size amount of the game on an Xbox console is the exact same whether you're using physical media or purely bought and downloaded digitally?

I've been buying my Xbox Series X games on disc, as I thought I would save up to 50gb of storage space per game by doing so.

The hidden gem of the Direct was Crimson Butterfly. The best entry in the Fatal Frame series.

This is why games are never truly complete on card. We should stop demanding this. As long as most of the data is on cartridge, so we don't waste valuable storage space, we should be happy.

Remake of Death & Return of Super-Man, their greatest game ever made and the only good Super-Man game in existence.

Is there a remake for Code Veronica on the table? I thought it was pure speculation. It is ridiculous if it doesn't happen though, as it's quite an important entry and the true sequel to RE2.

This is the game I always wanted back in the 90's and never got. Will definitely be getting it.

The graphics style is definitely not to my taste. Could be a cool game, but not sure if I can look beyond that.

I did enjoy Heretic back in the 90's. Fresh take on the Doom formula.

I played this to death on the Dreamcast. The genré should stay dead as it will never be the same again without light guns.

On a brighter note it's going to be so much cheaper collecting physical games for NSW 2 than it was for NSW.

Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 all made a bigger impact at their own respective point in time.

Unless you are still young, does it really matter if the cartridges last for more than 25 years? Unless you are able to purchase an extra life, I don't think we should worry too much. Don't lick'em for once and they might last longer

It's like that on other systems as well and have been so for many years. Take Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for example. The physical game disc still requires a download of over 80 gb for the game to function.

Keep in mind that physical games these days are almost never complete on cart/disc.
Playstation and Xbox discs never has the full game data. An enormous amount of extra download data is always required to complete the game data.
Nintendo is one of the last console makers to give close to truly physical options. But even then... every game nowadays have patches or updates, which you will need to download digitally.
True physical games in their final state is a thing of the past. For over a decade most games has been released with day-1 patches and/or additional patches post release.
So in the sense of game preservation, that ship sailed a long time ago. If you have the download space on external drives/sd cards/usb sticks to store the updates/patches, then a game-key card would serve the same purpose for you in 20+ years as a card with physical game data on it. Therefore this option is lightyears better than code-in-a-box or digital purchases.

The pricepoint should be a negative. It is simply too expensive a controller compared to Sony's and Microsoft's.

The guys at SwitchUp just put up a video which showed it still sukced heavy asss on the Switch 2.
It needs a patch to let it run on that sweet new hardware.

Couldn't complete the survey as I'm not getting any games for the Switch 2. I bought it to use it with my Switch 1 library. Nothing else for now - not with these current game prices at least.

3 would have been great had it been released 25 years ago.
1 & 2 was great for it's time. It pushed boundaries and made a new genre. Equally as disappointing and unimpressive were 3, as it seemed stuck in 2001. No evolution for the series in 18 years. We wanted a conclusion on the story, but received nothing of the sort. Instead we got to experience the exact same old game mechanics from back then.
It's a thin line between a love letter to the fans and a complete embarrassment.

But if you have downloaded the data to a Micro SD card, surely you're safe and sound even beyond server shutdowns, right?
Most Switch 1 cartridges doesn't include all game data anyway, so nothing really changes beyond that point of server shutdown, besides you needing more space on an SD card to store the game data on.

Excited for this one. Some great classics and finally a chance to play some shmups that's not bullet hell for a change.

I don't believe they can be rated against each other at all. While they are all different, they are still all the same. It's like rating each chapter in the same novel. Removing one of the mainline games would severely hurt the rest. That being said... the character Jin from 2 was awesome. Probably the most interesting of them all.

The only thing needed fixing was re-releasing Civ6 with an improved and more intelligent AI. I'm curious to learn if that is still brain dead on Civ7.

The only thing from previous entries that needed a serious overhaul was the AI. It was way too passive. You don't up the difficulty just by distributing resources in the AI's favor. You need to make it smarter, not have more resources.

Sadly I have no faith that they will ever get that right.

Saying Nintendo created a Mario game for children and expecting your 3 year old to beat it is ridiculous. A 14 year old kid is still a child. Nintendo never created Mario games for small children. Heck... most kids don't stand a chance beating a Mario game. They become difficult at the end and has and should always do so.

I was wondering how that would work. Didn't think that was possible. Then you could in theory share an entire library with a friends Switch if they have no account of their own.
I never thought Nintendo would allow for such an option.

Yes, that makes sense...unless there is some complication with activating your Nintendo Account on the new system. From the Wii to Wii U it was super lame. If you did transfer, you could no longer play your digital games on the Wii.
There is plenty of opportunity for Nintendo to screw this up and make it more painful than it should be.

1 TB is too small if you carry over a large Switch 1 collection. How large a card does Switch 2 support?

Obviously the publisher has not played the games themselves, or they would know how little sense it makes to release these 2 games without the last game Defiance.

It's the equivalent of re-releasing Lord of the Rings, without Return of the King.

Why do you write (Switch eShop) after the game titles?
I think we know they can all be purchased from there. A lot of these games on this list have physical releases as well, which would have made more sense to add instead.

If you are referring to the Hylden, I doubt only one more installment could end the saga. It would feel rushed if so. Like the final episode of Game of Thrones.

Makes no sense to release Soul Reaver 1 and 2, when it ends on a cliffhanger. Why leave out the final chapter in Defiance which concludes this epic tale?

I never use the joy-cons which is why mine does not drift "yet".
But the pro controllers I use all the time and they also drift over time. I find it odd that no one else talks about this. Maybe you all just love playing with those tiny little joy-cons.

As an adult you just can't take a mobile game seriously. Period.

Monster Hunter is a very special series to me. I'm 43 now and a third fleeter. I thought the excitement for video games was lost to the ages for me. I played them all the time, but that childish excitement I yearned for was not there anymore. That is until I was introduced to this series when accidentially purchasing Monster Hunter Tri.
I don't play hand held so lost out on 4. But never the less I've been spoilt with so many great games and the fantastic Generations Ultimate. Long live Monster Hunter 🍻

As for the nerdy comments: What the !?@# is wrong with people leaving out Rathalos? He IS Monster Hunter. No series without him. Some cool picks though. I would have chosen Barioth and Agnaktor. Those are just cool and fun monsters to fight. I'm surprised the abe was left out. So many people love to hate him, but fear and respect him. That usually counts for votes.
