So basically if you want a handheld console then buy a Switch 2

If you want a handheld PC buy a Steam Deck.

Glad that confusion about what each system offers was cleared up

What is don't get is why these companies can't do what they did with the Switch 1 and release part of the game on cartridge and part download?
I know this isn't the ideal situation but it swayed me when looking at saving space. A game like say LA Noire had a big download but it would've been 10gbs more if I went with digital.
A game like WWE 2k25 is download only and like 75gb. Why couldn't they go with the 64gb card and download the rest? Is it just a matter of money and production costs?

Top of my list are proper ports of the Kingdom Hearts games. None of that cloud bs.

Forza Horizon 5 would be cool too since the PS5 got it and it was also on Xbox One.

I remember at the time when it came out something with Hellena Taylor just seemed off to me. They wouldn't pay her what she thought they should've so replaced her with Jennifer Hale who's one of the most prolific va's. I doubt she got paid peanuts for that role. If they'd replaced her with an unknown i could've believed Taylor then. Also her digs and dragging Hale through the mud was a scummy thing to do.

I haven't got one yet but plan on it before the end of the year. The only games of interest right now are Mario Kart and the Gamecube titles. Once Donkey Kong comes out and some of the third party titles like WWE 2k25, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and some other titles I haven't played yet are on it then I'll have more a reason to get it.

I went with Savage Raven (formerly Skull and Co.) I have the Switch Lite version and I like how it feels so hopefully the next version up which looks easier to put on and off will be better.

Depends on how it runs. Having a choice between S2 or Xbox would be good. I'd rather they focused on getting the FF7 Remake games running well.

And Kingdom Hearts. Please give us the whole series.

Meanwhile Hogwarts Legacy on S2 offered much better graphics and framerates with much better loading times and essentially made a new version of the game put an upgrade pathway for Switch 1 users.

I tried it a few years ago but i couldn't get into it but i feel like i need to give it more of a shot espwcially after i replayed Red Dead Redemption and enjoyed it all over again. A S2 port would be a good.

I feel like with GTA6 getting delayed Rockstar will fill their release schedule with a remaster of some kind. This would just be a simple port and i feel the PS5 and Xbox versions would just need a 60fps patch. A GTA4 + Episodes remaster would fit the bill better. Hopefully they get S2 ports as well. I'd like remasters of the PSP games, Warriors and Bully too but i feel that might be asking too much.

@MrCarlos46 most consoles have this due to some words being spelt different between US english and UK english

I played the first remaster on Xbox and i thought it was so boring. Just a boring, brown cover shooter with one note gameplay. I read i'll get the new remaster for free since i got first one but i don't think i'll bother.

I'll just buy them digitally during a sale. No point buying a physical cartridge if i still have to download the whole game.

Will pick up Mario Kart and Yakuza 0 firstly. After that will get Donkey Kong. Other than those 3 games not much else interests me. Hitman i'll pick up if they have an offline mode but from what i've heard it's really meant to be more an online game.

Once Final Fantasy 7 Remake and WWE 2K make it over i'll pick those up too (if they actually run well.)

I'll stick to the S1 version. It would be different if there were extra levels added but all it is is slightly better graphics and framerate

As much as i'd love to get them on there the WWE games will never happen. Still it would be cool to get the Mania, DOR and even Crush Hour games. Still a guy can dream.

I could see Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 making it on. Sonic Heroes would be cool but i think there are some rights issues with the engine and a full remake is rumoured to be in the works.

Played Mario Kart Double Dash and an arcade bar with my brother and sister in law. Was so much fun and i expect it'll appear sooner than later. Lots of potential titles.

Been on the fence about getting a PS5 for the last 5 years lol. Really the only exclusives i want to play are FF15, FF7 Part 2, Spider Man 2 and Ratchet and Clank. Most other games i've wanted i can either get on my Series S or still get on PS4 or Switch. If FF15 and 7 Part 2 make it to other consoles i'll have even less reason to buy one.

This move pushes me more towards either the Switch 2 or getting a second hand first gen PS5. That price point just isn't worth it.

Also remember when console revisions lowered the price instead of raising it? They were good times.

Ports and remasters. Hasn't that F Zero GX port been rumoured to exist and is ready to go whenever?
Metroid Prime 2 and 3 ports and Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 collection (with the option of seperate purchases) seem like an easy option.
I've always been holding out for the Sonic Advance trilogy and a GTA 4 port but i imagine Sega and Rockstar would announce them themselves if we ever get those.
Some DS and 3DS ports would be cool. How bout Super Mario 3D Land? Or since we got screwed over on the regular games how about a collection of Kingdom Hearts COM, Days, Coded and 3D? Worked well for Castlevania (Yeah i know that's a pipedream)

Really Metroid P4 and Pokemon Legends seem like the only real given here. Some surprises would be nice though.

It should release on May 19 since that was the day The Undertaker set fire to his parents home, killing them and scarring his brother Kane.

I'd love to see Red and Blue from Gunstar Heroes make it in. They weren't in either of the All Stars game and it would be cool for them to finally be included.

No one from Golden Axe or Streets of Rage made it in either so it would be cool to get some representation there.

Was going to buy it and then i remembered i actually bought it 2 years ago on 3ds and never got round to playing it. If there's not much changed from that version then i'll just play the version i have and save my money.

I have the Xbox version and played a bit of it. Fun game. Definately need to finish it off. Might pick up the Switch version when it's on sale just to have portably.

If the rumours are true that Rockstar pushed to get it released when they did to get a game out for the holiday season before it was finished then yeah that's a pretty crappy thing to do.

I think it speaks to the quality of both games that Sonic Boom and Sonic Lost World are in the short list of Wii U exclusive games that haven't received a port to Switch and no one seems to be asking for them either the way they did Colours and Generations.

That era of Sonic was very lackluster aside from Mania of course.

The show though was brilliant and funny as hell so at least some good came of it.

Sonic x Shadow and Epic Mickey for sure. Reynatis maybe once i see more gameplay and reviews. Game has me curious but there just aren't enough details out yet.

It's cool they've added it on but i'm mainly just excited for the Sonic part. Loved that game so much.

I'm wondering if Shadow Generations will have 1 act or 2 and if more stages from each game will appear.

How many games did Shadow appear in?

So far you've got SA2, Heroes, Sonic 06 and his own game. Where will the other stages come from? He was in Sonic Rivals and was in Forces as dlc but that's really all i can think of as him as a playable character.

I'd have loved a Sonic Advance trilogy collection or even added to Nintendo Online. Add Gunstar Super Heroes and Kingdom Hearts COM to Online too.

A lot of games i want i know are pipedreams. Things like a Sonic Adventure and Heroes collection, the PSP GTAs and GTA 4 even if they aren't remasters, the Mirror's Edge games. All games i would love to have portably.

I think i'll pick both up eventually. Recently cleared some space and put some lesser played/completed games on a second memory card so space isn't much of an issue. Wait and see about those file sizes though.

@Croctopus i think THQ Nordic have their own presentation later in the year so i imagine they're holding off until then.

I read a while back supposedly Nintendo have a Zelda: Twilight Princess port ŕeady to go so i expect that.

I think it will be interesting to see exactly what they pull out if this is going to be the final year of the Switch. I doubt there's going to be anything too big. Like others i expect ports. Luigi's Mansion 1, Metroid Prime 2 and 3 and maybe proper releases for Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. But then maybe there could something left field like another Bayonetta Origins or a remake of something. I've always held out hope that Sega can sort the publishing rights and release a Sonic Advance collection.

Maybe we will finally get ports of the last 2 big Wii U titles that haven't been ported yet. I'm of course talking about the classics Sonic Lost World and Sonic Boom.

I'd be keen depending on price and games. I have a series S and if it could play my library on without having to do the whole remote play hassle then i would be happy. If it was just for remote play and cloud gaming then there are better options out there.

Nothing much has lept out but i might take a look at the Batman Telltale games since they are about $8 each

If there were laws in place that all digital purchases had a lifetime fulfillment clause that companies couldn't ever take offline even after consoles stop being manufactured then i'd be happy going all digital.

My intial impression was "Oh no it's Yozora again!" But it looks fine. Could be fun if it's an action rpg like KH or Nier Automata. Will see what the reviews have to say.

I played the demo and i thought it was fun if not a bit simple. But a simple fun little game is fine by me. Just a bit pricey at the moment. I'll wait until i can pick it up second hand.

Very cool. Can't wait to pick this up. I think i'd have preferred if they added extra levels from more recent Sonic games but i imagine they'd have had to do a proper remake as opposed to a remaster with a seperate, new story alongside it. Still can't be too ungrateful. Never going to say no to more content.

Already played it on PS4 recently so if i do pick it up it'll be when it's on sale

Would be nice to get GTA 4 and its dlc. That i could see happening early next year and there was speculation it was going to happen sooner.
Would've been cool to get Bully Scholarship Edition and GTA Liberty City Stories. VCS has some music issues though.
Honestly surprised we never got a non cloud version of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 even if they were based off of the PS3 collections that weren't great.
Also surprised we never got a Final Fantasy 13 collection. That series wasn't great but you can play FF 1-10, 10 2, 12, 15 Pocket Edition and multiple spin off games on Switch so they might as well finish the collection.
On that note Dissidia NT i figured would've been ported too because that game i feel would've benefitted from the portability.

Gonna pick up Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 but i'm unsure of which version to go for. There's the standard edition and then there's the deluxe which is double the price. Not sure if i care enough about the add ons.

Also going to pick up those two crappy Doctor Who games because they're cheap so i might as well give them a go and Horizon Chase 2 because it's been in my wishlist for a while and i've been holding out for a sale. Other than thay there aren't really a lot of games i want right now.

I would love a proper follow up to Gunstar Heroes after all these years. I know they did one on GBA but i want a proper sequel.

I have the Animal Crossing Switch and a Switch Lite. I'd definately keep the Lite but unsure on the regular one.
Am starting to have issues with the fan being really noisy on start up which i've already had it repaired for. Is a 3 year old model and it's had a lot of use. At this point i'm just going to play it until it finally coinks out.

Hopefully the new Switch will be at least somewhat backwards compatiable. Even if it only allows downloadable games to play i'd be okay with that since i have the Lite.
