I absolutely love Mario Kart Double Dash and DS. Both games have fantastic handling and some of the best tracks ever. I consider Double Dash to be the end of the first era of Mario Kart with nitros only, and the All Cup Tour is the cherry on top.

Mario Kart DS started the second era with retros being formally introduced (Super Circuit's extra tracks were a beta if you will). And I totally agree about the bosses in mission mode in DS being a blast.

I like Mario Kart Wii a bit less. The nitros are absolutely top notch, but I was never a big bike guy, and they're overpowered in Wii. Plus the colors are so washed out. I definitely appreciated Wii's best tracks more in Mario Kart 7 and 8/8 Deluxe more than Wii itself.

I would love to see Cappy and Prince Florian be playable.

Super Circuit is my favorite of the first 3 games due to having the best handling and some clever track themes. 64 has some all-time greats that shine in their remakes, but its handling is rough. Super has rough handling and meh tracks outside of Rainbow Road.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are technically flawed, but they're way better games than Sword and Shield. Well deserved.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will reach 70 million. What a force of nature.

It's a fun novelty. I downloaded it on my 3DS. Definitely a testament to Nintendo's quirkiness during the Iwata days.

Man, a game as timeless as Chrono Trigger better get one of the best remakes ever.

@Jiggies I also prefer Superstars. Don't get me wrong, the maps in Jamboree are great, but the longer turns kill the pace, and I also think Jamboree buddies are a bit OP.

I'm so ready to learn more about Mario Kart World. I want official confirmation that we can drive 3 laps on all tracks that aren't sectioned.

The idea of Drag x Drive intrigues me, but the color palette is so dull for Nintendo. Looks like a lost 360/PS3 game.

The layout looks a bit cleaner than on Switch 1.

I was a little worried after seeing the Mushroom Cup tracks on the Treehouse stream as they seemed hit and miss, but the Star Cup looked delightful. I especially love how menacing the ship now looks in Wario Shipyard. A true ghost ship!

It's an intriguing idea, but I agree with the article that the colors are very drab. Unusual for Nintendo.

I'm more of a Superstars guy honestly. I prefer the classic boards, no motion minigames, and no Jamboree buddies. So I'm not sure I'll double dip.

I know that inflation is hitting Nintendo too, but $80/$90 games are too much. $70 I could have maybe lived with.

This is a huge jump for a Nintendo console. Nintendo is competing with power for the first time since the GameCube days.

I'm glad he was able to reprise his role in Top Gun: Maverick. It was done in a classy way to accommodate his real life condition. Rest in peace, Val Kilmer.

I'm glad I'll finally have the chance to play F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur 2.

A few lame things like the Switch 2 tour being paid, and that wheelchair basketball game looks weird as hell, but the main first party games were a delight and so much third party support for a Nintendo console is unprecedented.

I'm so happy to see all these Mario enemies debuting as racers! And Moo Moo cow as a racer is the best!

Inflation has hit us so hard the last few years. I understand why Nintendo is doing this, but it's hard when money is so tight.

Mario Kart World looks stunning. I love all the new modes of racing. The new tracks are amazing. First time ever we have a safari track! And I'm so happy to see Airship Fortress and Shy Guy Bazaar return!

You know that I'm rebuying both physically.

This was easily the biggest third party announcement of the Direct. A lot of people will buy Switch 2's just to play this.
