I really don't think that Xbox should go third party. Yes, Playstation is outselling them 2:1, but they still have an audience of 50 million that they can reach as evidenced by the Xbox One reaching those numbers even after its disastrous start.

Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia is a fantastic modernization of the second Fire Emblem, and it also added full voice acting for the first time in the franchise.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are up there for me as well for having so much content and quality of life changes.

It is so nice to see how much of a renaissance Metroid has had in recent years.

Nintendo's follow-up systems are never as big of a success as the original, but if the Switch 2 can only have around a 16-17% drop in sales like the SNES compared to the NES, I think Nintendo will consider it a major success especially since software is likely to be priced at $70 making up for lost revenue.

I have the original physical 3DS release from way back when, but this is a cool final 3DS release from Limited Run.

I've been recording some Super Mario Maker 1. I want to preserve at least a portion of this game for people to look back on in the future although I can't come anywhere near the greatness of Nintendo Thumb who's been doing so for years.

This is one of my most anticipated games of 2024. I love 3D platformers.

I would like to see more tracks that change with every lap like the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version of Kalimari Desert.

I also want the return of mission mode and last man standing balloon battle.

Three words: Super Mario Maker.

All 160 amiibo costumes in the SMB1 style and 100 man Mario means I never stopped playing the original. 2 has more features but 1 is more full of personality.

Shout-outs to Smash Wii U and Splatoon 1 for being very fun too.

Epona's Song, Song of Storms, Zelda's Lullaby, and Saria's Song are my favorites.

A Link Between Worlds is my favorite 2D Zelda game. The wall merging mechanic adds a lot of depth to the gameplay. I also really like the new dungeon designs. The Tower of Hera, Dark Palace, Skull Woods, Thieves Town, and the Ice Palace especially stand out. And Yuga is a fabulous villain.

I think Ocarina of Time 3D added all of the necessary quality of life fixes, and I'd be fine with it being ported in HD.

Kokiri Forest is magical. I love that little boulder maze and the bridge you can climb, in particular. You get to see verticality, rolling, and Z-targeting in action right away.

I agree with your 9/10. Wave 1 was a bit rough, and a few too many circuit tracks were added, but we got a lot of bangers.

Yoshi's Island, Waluigi Pinball, Mushroom Gorge, DK Mountain, 3DS Rainbow Road, Wii Rainbow Road, Ninja Hideaway, Peach Gardens, Bowser Castle 3, Snow Land, Singapore Speedway, Vancouver Velocity, Maple Treeway, Daisy Cruiser, Waluigi Stadium, among others.

Custom items, new characters, new Mii costumes, and the jukebox were cherries on top.

It's amazing that this game is being released after all these years.

I think GOTY will be between Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur's Gate 3, and I'm okay with either of them winning.

It's a tough call, but I think DK Mountain is my favorite track of the final wave.

To me this is right up there with waves 3 and 4. The visuals of the tracks are gorgeous, jukebox mode is a welcome addition, and all of the new characters and mii costumes are a cherry on top.

Those new Booster Course Pass credits made me so happy inside. Thank you, Nintendo, for almost a decade of Mario Kart 8 greatness. One of the best games ever made.

Very well deserved start. Wonder is a late Switch release, but I think it can still sell over 20 million copies lifetime.

Huge news. I'm not sure how well Zelda will work in live action form, but I hope we get to see all of the classic Zelda races in the movie, especially Gorons, Zoras, and the Gerudo, and a climactic battle against Ganondorf/Ganon.

@johnedwin Wrong. Game consoles always sell most during the fourth quarter as people pick them up as gifts for the holidays. It is very much doable.

The Switch is selling absolutely insanely after over 6 years on the market. 140 million by the end of the year and maybe outselling the PS2 to be the best selling dedicated games system ever lifetime!
