Oh man, Rachael was one of the voice actors of my childhood. May she rest in peace.
And I hope any women reading this get mammograms ever year, especially if they're above 40. Early detection leads to much higher cancer survival rates.
@jedgamesguy 2 million in a slow quarter is still good. Most consoles sell most in the back half of the year. 150 million Switches by the end of 2024 is all but guaranteed which leaves sales of only 10 million more needed, and the 3DS sold 9 million after the Switch released.
I'm glad to see Nintendo Life pointing out that not everyone has the financial means to purchase the latest hardware and having free online on 3DS and Wii U shut down really hurts those people.
There is too little time in the day to spend too much time being frustrated at one part of a game. I have no problem using save states and rewind to progress.
Metroid Prime 4, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario & Luigi Brothership, and Super Mario Party Jamboree on the first party front and Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, Ace Attorney Investigations, and Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes on the third party front made it a great presentation for me.

Bought it 2 days ago for full price because I wasn't expecting a last minute sale. Oh well.
Re: Switch On Track To Surpass PS2's Lifetime Sales In The US

Re: Switch On Track To Surpass PS2's Lifetime Sales In The US
The Switch is a force of nature in North America and Japan. Now Nintendo just needs to make itself more competitive in Europe.
Re: Iconic Publication Game Informer Is Closing Down After 33 Years
My older brother was still reading physical Game Informer magazines. It's a shame to see another gaming magazine bite the dust.
Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door And Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Both Surpass One Million Sales
Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door on Switch almost surpassing sales of the Gamecube version is good news for the franchise.
Re: Review: World Of Goo 2 (Switch) - A Superb Sequel With A Few Sticking Points
I'm surprised this game wasn't advertised more considering how big the original was on Wii. This is a wait for a price drop for me.
Re: Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Cheerleader Physical Edition Pre-Orders Now Live
I spent a lot of money on the 360 market place closure so I'll let my wallet cool off for 2 weeks or so before ordering this.
Re: Digital Foundry Hails Luigi's Mansion 3 As The Best-Looking Exclusive Switch Game
Super Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion 3 are my picks for best looking Switch games.
Re: Nintendo Japan Reveals New Splatoon 3 Merch For September's 'Grand Festival' Splatfest
Looks like this is the final Splatfest given all the fanfare. Past or future are the more interesting choices.
Re: Random: "Let Them Play, First Thing!" - Sakurai Is Tired Of Slow Game Openings
This is why I prefer Ocarina of Time to Twilight Princess, for example. You can get into the gameplay so much sooner.
Re: Mini Review: Toree's Panic Pack (Switch) - A Third Pop Of 99¢ Platforming Pleasure
The Toree games are consistently good for a great price.
Re: Talking Point: Could Ganondorf Ever Be The Star Of A Zelda Game?
The proposed Metroidvania idea seems promising though it might be too different from the kind of game Zelda is.
Re: Review: Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition (Switch) - Speed-Focused And Slight, But Addictive
This is nowhere near as interesting as NES Remix to me, but it's an eventual buy.
Re: 'Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club' Launches On Switch Next Month
Is this the longest ever gap between a new installment in a Nintendo franchise ever? Regardless, glad to see more Famicom Detective Club.
Re: Review: Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition (Switch) - Returns For Another Pass With A Top-Flight Port
The Ace Combat on 3DS was my first exposure to the franchise, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, so I'll be picking this up eventually.

Re: Random: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Overtakes NES Lifetime Sales
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a force of nature.
Re: Nintendo Reveals Disturbing 'Emio' Teaser, And Fans Are Baffled
I'm potentially intrigued. It's been a while since Nintendo dipped its toes into M rated territory, I believe since Devil's Third.
Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Was Nintendo's "Best-Selling" Switch Game In May 2024 (US)
Great news for Paper Mario, and the Switch decline isn't terrible by any means given the age of the hardware.
Re: Feature: 54 Switch Ports We'd Love To See Before The Generation's Out
Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Disney Afternoon Collection, Jet Set Radio, Madworld, and Pizza Tower make a lot of sense and could still happen.
Re: Mario & Luigi: Brothership Box Art Has Been Officially Revealed For Switch
Mario & Luigi games have always had rather plain cover arts so this is par for the course.
Re: Nintendo Live Suspect Admits To Threats, Blames Being A Sore Loser
Some people need to learn that if they need to spew crap, they should do so into a toilet, not by threatening others.
Re: Review: Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition (Switch) - Beyond Good, Still
This is a game that passed me by back in thd day so I'll happily play it now, but I'll pick it up for Xbox instead to play at 60 FPS.

Re: Feature: 25 Things You Might Have Missed In The Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Reveal Trailer
Having both Zora types in one Zelda game is huge.
Also, good catch on the old lady likely being Impa.
Re: Best First-Party Wii U Games
This list seems incomplete. But I guess you're not listing second party games so no Kirby or Xenoblade.
Re: Reaction: A Direct That Delivered, And Shows That Switch Still Has Plenty Of Pep
9/10.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - A Magical Remastering Of A Series Highlight
I certainly didn't expect Nintendo to revisit this game's artstyle in 2024 and for a game where you play as Zelda no less.
Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
This Direct was a fantastic sendoff to the Switch.
Mario & Luigi, Mario Party, 2D Zelda, Metroid Prime 4.
And on the third party front, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, Ace Attorney Investigations, and the Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes.
A hearty 9/10 from me.

Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
Low expectations, but I'd like to be surprised. I'm still feeling relatively confident in at least predicting a new Mario Party.
Re: Feature: 16 Great Late-Gen Nintendo Games - Maybe There's Life In The Ol' Switch Yet
The 3DS had a really graceful sendoff, and I hope Nintendo repeats their strategy.
I think there is still room for a new Mario Party, a Fire Emblem remake, Prime 2/3 remasters plus potentially the Wii U Zelda remakes on Switch.
Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From The Upcoming June Nintendo Direct
I'm expecting Metroid Prime 2 Remastered and maybe 3 too.
One or both HD Zelda ports will make their way over from the Wii U.
A new Kirby game is usually a lock for late in a Nintendo's system life.
And a new Mario Party makes too much sense to sell a few million before the Switch sunsets.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Summer Game Fest 2024 Opening Showcase?
3/10. Only a few games appealed to me: Dragon Ball, Sonic, and Fatal Fury.
Re: Sonic X Shadow Generations Speeds Onto Switch This October
Looks amazing. I never played the original so I'll gladly pick it up this time around.
Re: Feature: We Look To The Past To Predict Every First-Party 'Switch 2' Release Until 2029
No, we don't desperately need a Nintendo Kart.
Mario Kart still holds up after all these years.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Five More Classics
I have these on 3DS, but I'm happy for those who get to experience them for the first time.
Re: 'Yooka-Replaylee' Brings Back Playtonic's Love Letter To Banjo In Remastered Form
