@MS7000 I am getting it for that very reason. I am using GaneStop Pro points for it.

@SG2 it pushes me to preorder the system tho….i would get it no matter what, but i would probably wait, unless it had another compelling title. But it’s hard to top MK, as I put 600-700 hours in the last one.

Depends on if they can find ways to use the mouse…. The gamepad was a great innovation, but wasn’t really used that much.

Will games like this load faster on the Switch 2, or will it have to be optimized?

I will be interested in the Next Gen Xbox handheld if they go that route….that said, I am somewhat of a handheld console junkie.

I have such a massive backlog that I can very easily wait things out for a sale. That said, it will be hard for me to pass on Nintendo stuff, even at full price.

Hmmmm.. kinda want to support the system, but $70 for a game that will probably drop to $50 six weeks after release and $20-$30 by the Super Bowl…

I will keep the old one for travel and the gym….

I gave it a ten, contingent on it getting content updates like Tour. I think there’s a ton of content, even for the $80, but I am preordering the bundle for $50. It’s a gorgeous game, and I hate to admit it bc I always wanted the Switch to have its unique version, even with the added DLC, I felt cheated. I think this is cool enough to justify holding off on a better Switch 2 release.

@LimitedPower I definitely see ur reasoning, but backwards compatibility and MK World will cause me to get it sooner than later….

Mk world is with it tho…. I have 700 hours on mk8 easy.

Not bad, considering the system is about to be replaced. Really looking forward to Tomagachi Life. Some of the others will be worth a look, especially during a sale.

I would have liked a “cast” button…. This way the device becomes a second screen and we can play 3ds games or even play some that are designed for two screens…

I wish they could get the rights to Paperboy….do a modern remake….

@Mana_Knight I don’t mind these per se, but it’s annoying that we haven’t had much major fresh content in over a year. Peach, Zelda game, Mario Party and Brothership are cool, but are mainly niche/secondary endeavors.

@MastaRedSnappa I agree. I have both Puyo Puyo Tetris and Tetris Connected on Switch and PS5 for VR. This is more than enough for me.

I love Tetris, but I think I have enough…. I have it on Switch x3 if u count Puyo Puyo Tetris, then on PS5 so I can play it in VR.

I hope the new system gets Madden….

It depends on the specs and capabilities…. If it’s $500 and just x2 as powerful as a Switch, I am guessing I would not be in a rush to get it. If it’s roughly a Steamdeck, plus some other cool stuff, I could see myself shelling out some $$$$ for it.

Depends on how it performs… I would be all for it if it’s really bad ass

@MrGawain I see what you are saying in that the Switch is probably good enough for most….but the Ps5, Series X and Steamdeck to a degree actually make me want more power. I usually don’t care that much about graphics and power, but I almost always buy on another platform if possible instead of the Switch. But as i mentioned above, I would rather have better hardware and a smoother launch than getting the system a little sooner.

I am ready to move on, but I think holding off might have been a good thing if they get the launch right and present a better product….

@Mattock1987 speaks to the size of the Switch user base….. some people don’t have any other way to play it, tho I suppose there might be some who double dipped to play on the go….

@WheresWaveRace soooo….. Mario v DK, TTYD, Super Mario RPG were all new to me, so I bit….I have Luigi’s Mansion on 3ds, and while I am sure it will be cool, I would not pay more than $20 to revisit it on the Switch….even then I probably wouldn’t….

I sent mine in to Nintendo to get fixed for free…they work fine now….i think they are still doing it..

@Hwatt especially with the ps5 and X/S…. It’s the lower priced console….plus it’s got name recognition with parents….

I don’t mind the wait as long as they make the wait worthwhile…..that said, it really is time for a new system. I generally buy games on other platforms for optimum performance. While it is cool that Hogwarts runs respectably on the Switch, this isn’t 2019…. the decade is almost halfway over and we shouldn’t have to be making these sacrifices in soon to be 2025…..

@sanderev I think the industry has lost a lot of its character and soul for sure. Even Nintendo has lost some of its charm….

@AstroTheGamosian I don’t think that would work…but possibly a cybercafe with PC terminals and consoles? Charge by the hour, have coffee, appetizers like u could get at Starbucks

@AstroTheGamosian it doesn’t look promising, especially if the next generation doesn’t have drives. I don’t think collectibles and other merchandise will be enough to save them.

@AstroTheGamosian he was totally wrong on Nintendo on multiple levels…. Even thought they should put all their IP on mobile platforms and quit making hardware.

But I don’t really think he’s wrong on GameStop. I still buy from them bc I feel sorry for them. I bought a Series X bundle back when they were hard to get and most recently bought a PSVR2. I also buy their t shirts with my $5 monthly coupon. I guess I see them doing some business, but mostly not.

@BaldBelper78 well, it really depends. Theoretically, the price of components should come down the longer they wait. Granted, the specs of the system might still be the same whether they release this year or next. I would hope, though, that we will be rewarded with a slightly better machine for waiting….,

@SwitchVogel I have it on Xbox and on that platform it plays much better. Still a little sluggish to load and navigate but the flipper response time is much better….

@Sisilly_G it’s pretty clear this is quick and easy filler material until the next console comes out. A level editor would have been amazing, but I guess they don’t see the need to dedicate resources to it since a new console is on the horizon…,

Against my better judgment, I am getting this on Friday…..this is really the type of game I will enjoy. I just wish it was not $60.
