@-wc- I hear ya, but I think this will be good. Strikers, Sports were duds. I think Splatoon 3 is great for those who like franchise, but I didn’t play 2 enough to warrant a purchase of 3. Same with Bayonetta and Pokémon….unless this turns out to be a complete disappointment, I am getting it….

It looks cool, but I am terrible at rhythm games….

Probably not going to rush into this bc I have barely played BotW. It’s possible but not likely that I run out and get it anyway. I have too many games in the backlog and I am a bit tighter with $$$$ these days.

@TheBigBlue Nintendo is supposedly spending over a billion in online infrastructure and technology, per financial reports….no details, but I think the future should hold some substantial changes….

I bet I have about $5k on both systems between physical and digital.

@MrHonest with some exceptions like charging full price for ports and others noted above, I think Nintendo generally provides value. I bet this will be worth $70….

I think they could have done a little more with it, like build a world with your coins or something like that, something more robust than what they have. Or added a social element like StreetPass somehow

@Sisilly_G agreed. I am mostly fine this. It’s a good value. It extends the life of the game and I will enjoy, but something is indeed inherently stale…..I kinda like the mini games they have in Tour. Extra characters, cars and tracks from other franchises would be cool, but my guess is that is for another system.

I have the first. Thinking about getting the trilogy….

@victordamazio they did a really good job with it. Too good of a job bc it seems to be at the expense of the console version….I wish MK8D got this kind of love and attention

@Sarkos the Tour tracks are kinda generic tho. Yeah, the scenery is different, but I don’t see them as that entertaining. I would rather see some better ports or new content…,

Very excited about DK Summit….

I am surprised there’s not a new Mario game to go with the movie. It would sell like crazy.

Hopefully this implies that the next generation of Nintendo is capable and not modest improvement like the Switch was to the WiiU.

It is on sale for $10…. Probably worth it for this price….

@rjejr Nintendo sees Mario Kart Tour as a proper entry…. It’s not a bad game, but I hate that it comes at the expense of the console…..

I bet they release a 2d Mario that’s somewhat tied to the movie. They could easily slap that together and it would sell close to 20 million with this massive install base.

@Selim I think MSFT has said they will continue on PS5/Sony for at least five years.

@Vyacheslav333 I see what you are saying… if I were new to Nintendo or the Switch…..I would buy Odyssey and MK8D for sure. Maybe Animal Crossing took that second default purchase….

Glad Pikmin is coming over the summer instead of fall…advance wars, .professor Layton and bayonetta are cool. Not sure about some of the other stuff.

@Uncle_Franklin in terms of hardware, of course. But they were able to resell much of the software, so from that standpoint, they recouped a lot of that.

Considering I am only about five hours into Breath of the Wild and have extensive backlog across several systems, I can wait for some form of a discount….

@SBandy1 Astro’s playroom is so cool. Only issue with it is that I want moar! That said , I love Series X for GamePass and quick resume….

@AlexanderDaniels it just sucks that the Switch never got its own unique MK. DLC is meh.

Some of these games are worth a look for sure. Bit.Trip runner is awesome.

Very easy? Sign me up….I have played games in this genre that are too hard, even on easy mode. I will keep an eye on this for sure.

I have mixed emotions about them…. They are dang cool, some of them at least, but I generally think they are a waste of $$$$. Thankfully I never spent over retail but I have $800-$900 worth.

@Switch_Pro it would be cool to race with a Mario Maker version….or an Odyssey version of Bowser, Mario….yeah, it’s kind of silly, but cool.

At this point, I wish MK8D would get more DLC- even if just new characters, costumes and mini games we see in Tour. The new tracks are alright, extend the life of the game a little bit, but not much more than a few hours per expansion pack. Highly doubt they do much else with it until the next system, but I can dream.

I wouldn’t say old but rather dated. Generally ok with graphics, but the loading times are what bother me.

Sparks of Hope was on sale already for $30 after Xmas. I picked it up then, but it will probably drop further.

@Limberlost I would get Odyssey over NSMBU if I were new to the Switch….

These two Amiibo look cool. I have only bought one in the last several years, Min Min….I will definitely consider these two.

What hasn’t been mentioned much is that Nintendo had planned to go mobile to promote its brand and funnel users to its console…. You have to think that this has really helped its cause. That said, as mentioned above, I wish other franchises got this amount of love and support.

@Big_Fudge I don’t mean for their big releases. I would pay $5 extra per month for Street Pass type games, Pocket Jockey, Part Time UFO, Wario etc.

I want this, but will wait for a review. I have been burned too many times.

I am very happy for Nintendo, and I totally get the business side to this, but I wish they would release more fresh content for the series. Still love the game, but I am so ready for something new.

I got this on sale for PS5…. I think it’s pretty fun. It’s a good sub for Mario Kart if u are getting tired of it. Love the adjustable difficulty.

I have said this dozens of times, but I wish Nintendo followed Apple Arcade’s model. They have enough cash to sponsor a few developers for a few exclusive games per month. This would be a no brainer for me.

Streetpass was so fun….I wish they at least had a suite of mini games like this for the Switch…

@Grumblevolcano yeah, they sort of are new content, but really mostly bland and essentially recycled material. This is approaching 50 million in sales, and when u count WiiU sales, it’s approaching 60 million. This is a three billion dollar franchise and we are just getting essentially recycled material. Don’t get me wrong, they are decent to have, but nothing I want to play more than a few times. Lazy by Nintendo….

@Grumblevolcano I have mixed emotions about the DLC….no doubt a great value that has extended the life of a game that I have 600 hour if you count the time I spent on the WiiU. But the fact remains that this is a nearly nine y/o game. The Tour tracks are only fun for a bit and wish they added more new/original tracks instead. I am far from a graphics freak, but some of the textures are downright bland. In sum, I like it, but Nintendo was a bit lazy here and should have done better considering how much the franchise has made for them.

I would lie a revision sooner than later but…..if waiting a little longer means better hardware, I am down with that.
