It’s $5 cheaper on Xbox…. Wait for a sale or take the plunge now for cheaper on different system?

I get the business aspect of this, but I really hate what Nintendo has done with this franchise. DLC is fun for about a week and then mobile game gets all the love and extras….

It had its moments, but much of it was fluff and stuff we already knew about. Love Pikmin 4, Front Mission, Kirby (tho we sure have seen a lot of him lately)…Zelda is great for the fans. Bayonetta….Had enough of Fire Emblem, at least until it goes on sale in a year or two…

@Deljo I have the WiiU, Switch and Vita versions…I see it on sale and want to buy it for Xbox ot ps5… but there really is no purpose in that…

Loved this game. More of an experience than a game, but it was fun and very artistic….totally recommend.

The highlight of the direct for me. Not the biggest Zelda fan….

I want some sort of random surprise that I really want…..a new Donkey Kong, Star Fox, F Zero, Pikmin 4….maybe a new suite of party games…..

@Joriss happened to me with Xenoblade 3…. Only I had a coupon from Amazon that was set to expire in a month….still unsure about Splatoon 3. Leaning towards not getting it, but could easily see me getting it on impulse…

Undecided….no doubt this is a great game. I love the franchise/universe, but this game is generally not for me. Just not into the concept. How is the solo campaign? Any idea how long it is?

@nocdaes that is a very interesting thought….. how much has the mobile game contributed to sales of MK8D and then also the Switch? I could see this definitely being a factor. Maybe this has turned into an ambassador for Nintendo, the Switch and MK8D.

Just guessing, but I think I have spent about 20 hours on the game and spent zero dollars. If u play the game enough, you really don’t need to spend anything anymore….

@Debbiee it has been nearly ten years! Love the character and franchise but suck at the games. But it is time for a new entry.

@Debbiee there’s a few mobile games. One made especially for Apple Arcade. It’s not quite the same, but worth trying if u r a fan of the series…but yeah, it looks like the franchise is abandoned

@B_Lindz yeah… and I have sadly supported this practice. It started with MK8D…..understandable given that it had improved battle mode and two items to carry. Super Mario World for the extra content…... But had to get DKTF for chill mode. Normally I would have passed but I suck at the game, so I wanted to try it with new mode. Bought Captain Toad again to play with a friend. At least I got that reduced used at GameStop. Pikmin 3 was on sale…. Hard to pass that up. Then bought both Xenoblade Definitive and NSMBUD on sale, thankfully deeply discounted. Crap, I dropped $300 on games I already own…

I want this game eventually…. Just have too much on the plate now

@judaspete sadly, my guess is we won’t hear from this franchise again…. I wish it had a story mode and more developed background

I wish Nintendo would take a page from Apple Arcade…. Sponsor some promising indie developers and include in online service for $5 or $10

@shining_nexus mostly quit playing Pikmin Bloom, but it’s fun to pull out every now and then. If nothing else it keeps me moving. I am not one to pay for extras, but with this behavior, I will definitely not put $$$$ into it.

Not that I care too much, but along the same lines, I hope they keep Mario Run active too. It’s not a bad diversion when at the doctor’s office or something like that

@cra1g0s the Zen pinball suite…. I went ahead and bought all of them, or very close to all of them. Between those, what I have on Switch and Xbox, I ham set with video pinball for the foreseeable future….

I wish u would do a list for “most approachable games”….I get that people want a challenge, but I just don’t ant to go for the ride and relax….

I play pinball on mine mostly, tho I have a ton of pretty cool indie games too. I repurchased the Switch version for the ones I care about….

Not sure there is a huge market for it, but I would love to see modern adaptations for Atari, Williams et al done well. Might give this a go on sale….

I wonder what the threshold is to consider a game a success. ARMS did reasonably well considering it was new IP and the user base was pretty small.

@rjejr agreed. I think they should let u buy a version of it. Not sure how it could work here, but I didn’t understand why they did this with Doctor Mario. Why not just let u play it? I just don’t care for mobile gaming, but they should allow u to keep something if u have invested in it….

@sadmapboi I like the universe, but these kinds of games are just not for me. I need more campaign mode for this to be worth it.

@Abes3 I would rather wait a few years for this reason…. Hopefully the longer the wait, the more powerful the system…

@Stocksy that is how I felt about TNMT. I have it on GamePass but this just felt like it needed to be played on a Nintendo system. It felt right at home there, especially in handheld mode.

@Serpenterror I agree. It’s like Sony has almost just conceded this market to Nintendo. Yeah, there’s Sackboy, Astro and Ratchet & Clank….I wish they would at minimum expand Astro and have a cool exclusive party game….

@Shambo at times I do like to “support” the system beyond just Nintendo exclusives….if we don’t buy 3rd party titles on the Switch, they will be reluctant to take a chance on us in the future…..However, I have gone above and beyond during this generation.

@steventonysmith that too. I didn’t feel too burned, but I bought Fynix or however the hell u spell it only to see it steadily plummet to less than $20 over the next few months. The game was good tho and I felt it should be supported on the platform. Won’t feel so giving this time around. Not personal, just don’t see the point with this being in the backlog…

@Shambo yeah… I just have so many unplayed and unfinished games…. I would just be getting It to get it. By the time I finish the first one, it will be on sale.

@AcridSkull this leaves me in a dilemma….I love Kirby and want to support the series.Mathis seems like a game I would enjoy…but this is a game that I would rather see “free to play” on NSO.

@sword_9mm GT, Forza and at one time Mario Kart are my gaming staples. I still love Mk, but I have been playing it since 2014.

I wonder if Splatoon 2 will become an instant ghost land or if it will be fairly well populated. Supposedly even last year, there were still people playing the WiiU version
